rollermonkey
For those of you who have never really followed construction before, the footer stage is not that bad... It's the fact that after they pour the footers, there is going to be a period of time where it appears absolutely nothing happens, as they allow the concrete to cure. And the rest of the track will show up! Chris B
coasterguy618
Just a couple of questions.... Is this flyer ever going to be offically annouced? Is Tatsu the offical name? --Gaven

DATman
LIKE,OMFG U GUYS! 10 DAYS TILL THE ANNONCEMENT! I'M SO HAPPY I'M GONNA TAKE A MYSPACE PIC AND POST IT, and get, like, a zillion comments that say: OMFG, ur so pretty, I wish I were as pretty as you, but since I/m not, I have to hate you." The, I'll take an emo pic and post it too, and all the people who wrote what is stated above will say: Like, I'm sorry, ur just so much better looking than me, and the world, like, hates me..." Wes
^ Caffeine free, dude! I wonder what the likelihood of Tatsu having a post course lift (like Ninja) is. The one thing that bugs me about Ninja is the lift at the end. Suspended's are notorious for losing their momentum, something that I don't think plagues B&M's as much. ebl
^^ Double-ewe-tee-eff...?!?! And, yeah, lay off the caffeine. ^ I think a post-course lift is a good possibility, being that the station will be up on the hill. However, depending on the layout, they may have designed a finale with enough momentum to get the trains back up to station level. We'll know in ten days. Guy T. Koepp
I'm thinking no on the lift at the end, as the entire ride seems to be around the top of the mountain. Ninja immediatly swoops down into the back valley and never comes out. As it looks now, Tatsu only swoops down into the ravine between the sky tower and Rapids. After that it seems that it will make a bee line back toward, and possibly around the sky tower. Seeing where all the footers are being placed makes me believe that it will then race around the terrain between Revolution and Log Jammer. But of course, thats all speculation. runnerodb83
mid course LIMs are also a VERY remote alternative, especially on a B&M, but it would be something totally unique and original...fitting as this ride is touted as being "one of a kind"
SharkTums
Interesting ideas...is there any B&M with a lifthill at the end? or even middle? I'm also thinking nay on the post-course lift, but we'll find out soon enough!
rollermonkey
After a quick scan of all 66 B&M's listed on RCDB, I couldn't find one picture showing a lifthill that wasn't directly out of the station or a small radius turn from the station, with the obvious exception of Hydra's JoJo Roll. Wildfire at SDC seems to be the only candidate with insufficient pics that I haven't been on to know for sure (and isn't a clone.) Anybody know Wildfire's lifthill situation? I was shocked to find how few coasters B&M has made, and that I have been on half (29) of the 58 currently in operation! For comparison, there have been 55 Vekoma (standard) Boomerang installations counting moved and under construction examples! SharkTums
Wildfire also has a normal turn into the lift at the beginning of the ride.
ebl
But has B&M done a coaster on a hill like this? Or are all of theirs on relatively flat ground? There is a first time for everything! Eric
robbalvey
While they may have not ever built a coaster on a hill like this, they have certainly had their fair share of terrain challenges. Nemesis and Oblivion come to mind. --Robb

coasterdude5
Wildfire also has a normal turn into the lift at the beginning of the ride. I wouldn't call it normal, it's pretty steep if I remember correctly, but you guys were just there over the summer so it's probably not that steep. Blazen_AZN
i don't think we'll see a post-course life on this ride, i think it will definately be tall enough to produce speedto get through the entire ride. besides, ninja really barely gets off of the ground, that first lifthill is tiny, goldrushers two lifts are basically one lift in two sections. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v53/arrowfanman/Sigs/14.jpg pic by arrowfanman in that pic, you are either heading towards that brakes (and station), going up, or out of the station, going down. now if it is heading into the brakes, it seems there will be no post course lift, because that peice is heading up, and it is obviously not a lift peice. if it is out of the station, we'd be looking at a ride that does some kind of shizzle before the lift. Guy T. Koepp
Due to the steepness of the terrain, we might see some sort of inversion prior to the lift. Mabey a small dive into a barrel roll ala "Hydra the Revenge." Only steeper. That JoJo roll dosn't look like you have much speed at all heading into it. Does anybody have an Idea about which way the lift hill will go? North or South? Based on where the station appears to be I think we will see the train exit South toward the Rapids, then make an ubrupt u-turn North. I think the lift will go up over the waterfall and then we will dive back toward the Saumari Summit. This thing is really going to change the skyline of MM. ebl
Maybe we'll get a jojo roll---a first for a flyer! I still like the idea of the lift heading west over the top of the mountain and diving down the other side before swooping back up around the Sky Tower and Roaring Rapids area with a finale of some sort in the Revolution/Log Jammer area. Just a thought! Eric
coasterdude5
^ IMO, I think the finale is going to be in the Revolution/Log Jammer area. Maybe nearly hitting the waterfall would be the finale. Or a helix over it. - *1000th Post* -
patriot
there is 9 days till the reveal. i am so excited to find out what this thing will be. with how long this thing stretches i am beggining to think there might be two new rides for them. Guy T. Koepp
I still think we might get a surprise from Astroworld! I don't think it will be the sky swatter. (Damn!) But mabey one of their other flat rides. We still havn't established which ride will be removed. If they were going to remove the orient express. They would have done it months ago. Could it be Flashback? Either fix it or get rid of it. There is plenty of room over there to add a huge expantion to Hurricane Harbor. If they were to remove Thrill Shot, they would have room for AW's Drop tower. MM could use a drop tower. Realy, they could put a drop tower just about anywhere. Those rides are small on real estate. Guy "I believe we are in for a real surprise beyond Tatsu" Koepp
black sabbath
^ Too bad their Drop Tower is supposed to go to Six Flags St. Louis. I really do hope we atleast get a flat ride from Six Flags Astroworld, SFMM needs them so bad! I hope they surprise us with one with the addition of Tatsu. Mind Eraser
I'm gonna play the lottery. Let's see if these numbers come up in the Tatsu press release: 210 171 150 I'm most likely wrong, but it's fun guessing! -kip-
