JG-77
Reminds me of Sidewinder @HP's trains, which I thought rode nicely back in my 2018 visit. Not sure what the old trains were like but these look like a solid addition. Love the little decals, looks like they have character!

DBru
Interesting. These look like the original Vekoma vests and not the thinner, softer ones found on Lech Coaster. I was hoping Vekoma had changed their design to be more comfortable. The Lech Coaster restraints are great!

I rode Carolina Cyclone at Carowinds with Vekoma's original vest restraints and I found them to be very comfortable. Way better then B&M's vest restraints

Zand
Going down next weekend. I know Adventure Pier won't be open, but what's still closed on the other two? Sounds like they've gotten a lot open since the beginning of the month so hoping most of the usual favorites are back up. Â Also, there's no way to get a wristband, correct? I'm fully expecting to have to buy tickets but didn't know if there's a way to get a wristband that isn't listed on the site.
Canobie Coaster
Their website seems to be missing several rides on the two piers that are open (ex. Zoom Phloom and the dark rides), so I presume those ones are closed.

Zand
This page shows an updated list of what rides are open/closed: https://www.moreyspiers.com/park-status-temp  Thanks, didn't see that when i was clicking around earlier.  We'll miss the flume for sure (unless by some miracle it opens in the next week) but more time for It is a good thing. coasterbill
Yeah, the flume is a dealbreaker for us since it's the best ride in Wildwood. I'm still holding out hope but it requires a lot of staff.
Zand
Slightly off topic, but does anyone know the status of Casino Pier and Castaway Cove? Looking to get on Hydrus and the Worlds Greatest Pirate Coaster and then Gale Force and Wild Waves. I know Castaway Cove is only open 6-11 (which is fine) because their employees were "passing out from wearing masks in the heat." If the coasters aren't all open I'll probably just skip both but Ive always wanted to stop at those places. Â Also any other places I should know about on the shore? Not looking for kiddie coasters or looping Pinfaris but anything else good?
boldikus
Can't speak on Casino Pier but Castaway Cove is open and Gale Force has been running, a friend was there a few times the last few days.
Zand
Miracle is answered...Zoom Phloom is open today! Now to try to avoid going broke buying tickets due to no wristbands.
coasterbill
Oh wow... yeah that's a deal-breaker for us to go out-of-the-way to go to Morey's this year BUT if I happened to find myself in the area I'd still swing by and pay $20 for the two of us to ride the flume once and leave, sure Edited July 27, 2020 by coasterbill
Zand
When I was planning out ticket prices on Saturday it was $125 for 150 tickets. Steep, but was gonna do it. Just went over to buy them and now they're $175 for 150 tickets. Incredible ripoff, no piers for us on this trip. Shouldn't cost $12 to ride a flat ride or a Vekoma. Â Went over to PigDog for dinner (which was great) and there were maybe 15 people riding rides on Mariners. Will gladly drive up to Ocean City for the evening. I understand why Moreys isn't selling wristbands, but jacking up ticket prices by 40% on an uncrowded week day is uncalled for in my opinion. AmyUD06
Try looking at their jacked up waterpark band prices. Last year it was $29 for an after 3:30 band, when they closed at 7. Now, it's $42 (bought at the park price) and they close at 6. Not to mention their "pay for reservations" nonsense. Â Morey's does a lot of things right...how they're handling COVID is not one them. Â That said, I've got a ticket card that I've been milking for years and years that I splurged on during one of their winter specials when it was like $50 for 150 tickets. I've still got 162 sitting on it LOL.
Zand
Almost like a sign from the heavens, I get an email from Knoebels saying "our wristband prices including Phoenix and Twister are reduced to $40!" after getting one from Hershey earlier reminding me to purchase $75 two-day tickets before the end of the month. Â I wish I bought wristbands over the winter since I knew I'd be coming here. Hindsight is 20/20.

Especially taking into account that the 3-pier unlimited rides wristband during a normal summer is just over $60, and you get the Screamin' Swing included. Definitely a tough year for Morey's. Unfortunately not going down to the piers this year but can't wait to get back next year.
boldikus
Yeah Morey's tickets are incredibly steep for what you're getting, at least from an enthusiast perspective. A wristband is always the way to go, sucks they aren't selling them. I haven't redeemed my Wild Card and likely won't at this point, since they'll be honoring it next year. Summer bummer 4real. bill_s
They are doing one thing right, hours. Most days 5-11 PM. I'm tempted but expensive and a long way. Last time I went wristbands were $27 !!

boldikus
Yeah but on a normal summer day everyone is at the beach and the piers are absolutely dead until 6/7pm, so why on earth would they waste money staffing the piers in the daytime for no one to show up when they can't get staff to begin with? Evening only hours makes perfect sense.
AmyUD06
According to their Facebook, Sea Serpent is back open with the new vest-restraint trains, so now the only coaster that isn't open in Wildwood is Great White. Gonna have to try to get up there soon. Â Weekday Daytime (until 5PM) ride wristbands are also now available for $30. Â Aaaand...the paid reservation system is gone.
