Doggone!

I'm a day late to the party! oh well!

Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!

Elissa, I don't think your last random thought was just your thought!

I saw Scott K's post this morning and thought "This fool hasn't cut check #1 for the running of the site but he's got his mouth open! Boo! It's free to be here! Why are you showing out on the site owners? Shut all that noise down! Go to CarrieFairfield.com and sign up with the other messy kids. You'll fit right in!"

When I saw posts like that on that site I used to put

Messy, messy, messy queen!

Post no more, you should not be seen!

That's why I try not to go in bars that don't have a cover charge; you'll get some undesirables coming through the door with the good customers that think they're the "end all".

Miss E, do your thang and ignore the "messy ones"!

I've been trying to come up with a reply, but Terry said it better than I ever could!

It's much better when you have a little visual help to finish the spell! Let's try it again (everyone say it with me so it will work):

I think that's better! Sometimes you gotta put old "Tink-Tink" on the payroll!

Does ACE have a "Jackass of the year" plaque we could award him? You know, for his immense contributions to morons everywhere.

I think they're all out of them. You could ask Rastus.. He's got so many that they had to build an add-on to the house just to store them!

Thanks for all the support guys!

My random thought will continue on!!!

6/21/07 - KT nearly gets injured at SFMM!

So we decided to take a nice lap around SFMM last night. We've been doing this more lately and it's been really nice. Basically we wait till it cools down, there are few people at the park, and ample close parking (Around 7:45pm) We don't go on any rides, or maybe we'll ride one, but just do it to get out of the house, which KT loves to do!

Yesterday however was not so good. We used our free friend coupons to allow my parents to join us and had a good solid lap. Laughed at Tatsu running one train and dispatching about once every 12 minutes, laughed at Deja Vu when I had to explain to my parents that "No, it's not broken, it just takes a really long time for them to dispatch it!" After one full lap we decided to go up the hill via Orient Express just to see if Sky Tower would be open, we doubted it, but my parents like it so we decided to check.

This is where it got really bad. I should have realized this was a bad idea when the idiot rideop had to be told to "Hey, open the doors on that side back up so my husband and the stroller can get it!" For those of you who don't know, on the 'bottom station' of Orient Express Strollers and Wheelchairs enter on the exit side. Fine, he figured it out and we went up the hill. No SkyTower. Ok, laugh at Tatsu some more and let's go back down.

There were a lot of people in the car on the way down so we let them all go first and then went since it takes us a bit longer to get out with the stroller. All of a sudden the stupid fucking ride op pushes the button to close the doors while KT in the stroller is still in the doorway!!!! Now let me explain, these are not like elevator doors, they are heavy metal that does not spring back when it hits something. My mom and I throw ourselves in the doorway to try and stop the door but it won't stop. We literally have to 'rip' KT out to avoid her being squished by the big metal door! Luckily we have a big combat ready stroller which took the brunt of the impact, but still my mom and I were really shaken up.

Robb was about to go off on the guy, but I told him to calm down, get his name and we would go on Guest Relations. I was just shocked though. I mean I know that Orient Express isn't exactly a major thrill ride, but when your sole responsibility is to make sure people are clear of the doors before pressing a button you'd think you could pay attention a bit better! If we didn't know better, or if that had been a kid and not a stroller in there it could have been really serious.

I'm still pretty livid this morning.

And now, I have my parents telling me that Amusement Parks aren't safe and I shouldn't bring KT on all of our trips. I have to explain that this was (hopefully) an isolated incident. And the fact that Robb and I are seasoned park goers, we knew to watch out and she was okay. But still, the one time something like this happens and my parents are there to witness it!

Anyway, the kids name was 'Johnny' (not sure of the spelling) and I hope that severe disciplinary action is taken on him.

Thanks for reading!

Hoping for a better random thought tomorrow!

"To add insult to injury", I believe is the correct term.

I will give you two credit. You kept calm. That ride op would have had another hole to get rid of waste from.

.... and then I would have spoke up, and told him how I felt.

Seriously though, I'm glad all is well.

That sucks. That moron should be fired. But knowing SF, he'll be promoted to a management position right away.

And I think parks are generally safe environments, and like you said, you and Robb have been in enough of them to know what to watch for. Don't let your parents get you down. You didn't do anything wrong, and you can't stay inside until KidTums is 30 or so.

If this happened at Disney, I would be shocked. But since it happened at Six Flags, sadly I thought, "Why am I not surprised?"

Maybe it is time to move to Florida. EA has an office outside of Orlando that is calling Robb's name! Otherwise, I hear the Florida division of Chippendale's is hiring.

Oh my god! What the hell was this guy playing at? Is he blind? I mean, was he not even bothering to look? Which kind of suggests he isn't excatly bothered about his job. I don't even want to think about the consequences that could have happened because of this idiot!

Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking too. I'm glad she's ok.

I'm curious though, what was the op's reaction? Did he offer an apology or anything?

Scary. Glad you were able to get her out ok.

I can totally relate to the bad luck of having your parents there to witness it and start stressing on you. I'm sure they know KT will be ok with you guys in the parks, they're just shook up.

I would hope the park would take it a little more seriously, coming from you and Robb, than they would from a GP complaint.

Hope the rest of your visit is much, much better!

Glad to hear that KT survived this horrible incident--that ride op should be crushed by his own doors.

That would make a neat Twilight Zone episode...

"A SFMM ride op almost crushes a baby in the doors of the Orient Express ride. The ride op didn't care and didn't apologize. Late that night, he gets crushed by the doors of his own ride."

^No!

He was just completely oblivious and out of it! He had that 'blank teenage boy stare' going on. Didn't apologize, didn't ask if she was okay...just stood there!

Wow. Kudos on the way you guys handled it then. I'm not sure I could've held back from ripping him a new one.
