LOVE SFKK Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Definitely, Poltergeists becasue of the whole haunted house theming! kinda shows the station
sfgam2006 Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Well, I'm going to have to go with Silver Dollar City which is nowhere near me (over 1,000 miles ). When you walk in, you just can't see any rides and it is just like a great RCT3 park. Infact, you really can't see any rides until you are right in front of it which makes the atmosphere there even better and might even beat our good friend. Disney! sfgam2006
cobra_roll06 Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I love the view you get of the the castle and lake when you walk through the entrance at Alton Towers....but i'm going to have to go with Magic Kingdom at WDW
GMAN962 Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I personally like Knott's. You have the nice looking building, and Bullet's cobra roll going almost right over it. -Mike
snuggles Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I like joyland's little ghetto gaurd shack thing.
MattLCV Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Some really cool entrances here! How about Loudoun Castle? The entrance booths themselves not that impressive, but this is what you see through the trees there:
yankees15 Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 My favorites are Six Flags Great Adventure's and Hersheypark's.
Top Thrill Dragster Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I'm really trying to figure out how you could say SFMM and KBF!!!??? SFMM is from like the 70's, is dirty, needs to be painted, etc. And Knotts?!!? Repainted to look like crap, always has some horrid banner up, and Silver Bullets off center cobra roll!?!? I picked those simply for first impressions. When you drive up to SFMM you cant help to be impressed with Tatsu dominating the mountain. I will agree with you as soon as you get up close to the park entrance you notice that it is run down and in desperate need of a update. As for Knotts, I do agree that they could lose the banner, but it is not that big of a problem. As for the off centered cobra I don't think they had much of a choice of where to put it.
Jayjay719 Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 My favorite entrance is Six Flags New England. It has that New England feel to it.
PKI Jizzman Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Carowinds South entrance. It has Top Gun looming over it...you can walk over the batwing!!! South Entrance !
Nodders Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I seem to remember having an "OMG" moment outside Hershey Park, but for me it has to be D'Efteling ..... totally awe inspiring!
ginzo Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 dollywood and splash country! I'm going to have to agree. Dollywood's entrance looks even better in person.
chmilo24 Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Definitely, Poltergeists becasue of the whole haunted house theming! Not to sound rude or mean but, but this thread is about park entraces not ride.
Movieguy Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 The Magic Kingdom's entrance is an all time classic. it never fails to inspire anticipation of the wonders inside the park as the guests get ready to enter through the tunnels. Kennywood has a nice, traditional sort of park entrance as well.
supermanrosfan0810 Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 sfne's does have that "new england-ish" look!
What Now Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 I love the back entrance/wooded walk area leading up to Alton Towers from the hotel. As you walk toward the park, the noise from the roller coasters get louader until it sounds like your in the middle of the park, but all you see are trees.
dino Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 I gotta go with california adventure. The golden gate background is cool, but I just like the simplicity of the letters in front.
Dailey Enterprizes Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 I think Busch Gardens Europe's entrance was cool... I feel like I got to mention Kennywood's new entrance too.. *picture from coaster1
BeemerBoy Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 I'd have to agree that Efteling is stunning. I had never really seen it before, and now I'm very impressed. After that, I'd go with DCA, TDS, Sea World Orlando, and yes, SFNE.
Darien Laker Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 I guess Magic Kingdom's entrance, but all of the Florida Disney parks were just amazing looking overall.
Holtskee Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Looking at Terra Mitica and Port Aventura pics makes me wish we still had the ultra-themed regional parks here in the US. Anyway, some of my favs: Opryland entrance (RIP): Carowinds' southern mansion entrance:
gax Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 I love the whole thing of Disney in florida, first you have the main entrance Then you get to magic Kingdom: Then of course: I just love the whole anticipation of it.
