itsme102
Sorry, I don't have pictures, but the Great Nor'easter in New Jersey looks great at night with its new lighting.
CP_RULES
http://p2.rcdb.com/picmax/flamingo-land-theme-park-zoo/kumali35.jpg Kumali looks pretty cool IMO.
gax
Kumali is really nice, especially with the new landscaping theyve now done of the ride, the area has some plants etc. in now They've also painted the entrance rock which looks awesome: http://www.flamingolandguide.co.uk/photos/270806/270806001.jpg http://www.flamingolandguide.co.uk/photos/270806/270806002.jpg Personally I've always thought Tizona at Terra Mítica is really well themed; http://www.rcdb.com/ig1799.htm?picture=
downunder
Lethal Weapon - The Ride at Movie World (Aust), it has: * ghetto theme with police cars, and police radio in the queue leading to the ride. * movie theatre in between the first part of the queue and the ghetto part which shows clips from Lethal Weapon * China Town district built around the ride. Also it is a custom SLC with a unique helix element.
the sound
^ Agreed, although, its my only SLC. It sucks, but the themeing makes up for it.
lapseofreason
I always thought the fog around Serial Thriller (Thunderhawk?) at Geauga Lake was cool. picture from RCDB.com
FLIPDUDE
While it may not be the absolute best, I feel I must make an honorary mention of my home park SLC: Kumba you cant relaly see here how much foliage is in there
kennywood!007
I like Thunderhawk at GL. It has a cool theme. Over the water..And the station is pretty cool too.
the sound
Actually, mine is now Snow Phoenix, at Happy Valley in Beijing. It has a very cool Tibetan theme. Which is sort of Ironic for a Park in CHina. Image from RCDB, which was from a guy called Peter Fleischman.
rollermonkey
Thanks for the love, Wrebbit! That one at Tizona looks like it's got the same colors as X.
Virdu_
Yeah! Tizona is very well themed, I love its theming and its colours. Here some pics I took some day last year: Another very well themed SLC is Mayan Adventure.
kaliboiryda510
I'll give it to this one for a good looking station! www.rcdb.com/ig805.htm?picture=
Primogen18
^ the new concept for that looks really nice, I hope they stick with it. (Infusion) LMAO, looking around for info, I found this site: http://www.infusionblackpool.co.uk/ It LOOKED like something for this new coaster, but I was very mistaken... Also, someone else brought this up: Cobra is an awesome looking SLC in Africa with tons of foliage and trees underneath. http://rcdb.com/ig1165.htm
coastervekoma
YAY SLC's!!! well I personaly think kumali has the best but Kong, my home slc has a pretty cool station IMO.
speedracer
LMAO, looking around for info, I found this site:http://www.infusionblackpool.co.uk/ It LOOKED like something for this new coaster, but I was very mistaken... "We offer a huge wet area as well as a very large dry area" LOL! Don't even want to know what huge wet area they're offering up . This one sure does have some amazing theming, imagine this is what an SLC would be like if Busch installed one (thankfull Busch is smarter than that!): http://www.rcdb.com/ig1231.htm Closer pic of the station: http://www.imagestation.com/album/pictures.html?id=2100185216&idx=17 Better pic of the pyramid lift hill: http://www.okus.com/gizmo/coasterm.jpg Check out how it dives in and out of the ruins, and the incredible theming/landscaping of the support foundations: http://www.imagestation.com/album/pictures.html?id=2100185216&idx=15 http://www.rcdb.com/ig1231.htm?picture=
DATman
Why waste money theming an SLC of all coasters?
Cerberus
Why waste money theming an SLC of all coasters? Because purchasing cheaper ride hardware would leave a higher percentage of a budget for theming
speedracer
^ also probably makes this the most interesting SLC ever built with all the interaction. Same reason Disney themes the hell outta their standard sit down family coasters, othewise they'd be just small boring gentle turns and drops instead of the fun crowd-pleasing park favorites that they are. Hobbesx2
It's the only one I've been on, but Kumba at Superland in Israel has one of the coolest que lines I've seen. There's awesome theming and even some snake exhibits inside the rock arches over the que I think. But that one that someone said would Busch- ish is really cool. So is snow pheonix and Tizona.
