coaster-crazy Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 Â V2: Vertical Velocity (V2.5) at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, today!
cal1br3tto Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 Corkscrew at Silverwood yesterday, to celebrate its 35th birthday (and its 20th Silverwood anniversary). I discovered that it's not quite as forgettable as I had thought; it has ejector on the first drop, which I enjoyed. It's at least as rough as I remembered, though.
atem122 Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 This guy. ...only cause I missed a last ride on Xcelerator by seconds!
ebl Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 Â The only thing is that when I rode it earlier today, it was gray with red track and called X2. Â Eric
ansley Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 Last Coaster.... Space Mountain at Hong Kong Disneyland a few weeks ago! Â Ted -----------
Pirouettes907 Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 This wonderful thing, Mr. Freeze at SFStL yesterday afternoon. I have to admit that vertical spikes are some of the only things out there that still make me a little uneasy on coasters, but I'll take it as a good thing; means the ride is still thrilling to me!

AndCamSS Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Magnum at CP on Sunday Afternoon. I swear the more the hype wore off the ride the more I have liked it!
Mechanic Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 I'm pretty sure it was the infamous Grizzly at CGA. To be fair, it was pretty darn smooth after all the track work that's been done. It still makes you wonder if it's actually going to make it around the first turn, but it was considerably smoother than when I last rode it. Robb made a solid effort at the presentation to point out that while it certainly isn't the best wooden coaster out there, it's definitely not the worst either, and that hopefully it can get out of that dead last spot on Mitch Hawker's poll. Considering my coaster count is low, I've still got to rank it last of the few woodies I've ridden though. Sorry about that, but it's just where it lands on my own short list.
Pirouettes907 Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 ^ I do believe that picture is actually Belmont Park's Giant Dipper
