Worra315
As far as near-misses I can see three in the beginning, but after that, it seems to be a mess of track. But it does seem awesome!!
atem122
I'm calling it now! Vekoma being the geniuses at engineering that they are will somehow manage to get the invert stuck in that cobra roll! Â But it does look pretty cool
SKULLY
I hate to say it but if you follow the tracks, the ride looks like it will be a short one. Then again, I doubt the model is 100% perfect to scale.
MattC
Considering the red side is supposed to be more family orientated (or has that changed now) it's very long :S

themeparkman25
I actually think this project, and the vekomas are coming together nicely. I think they are a long way off though from opening, but then again they have a little less than a year. I cannot wait to get a review on the new vekoma track and trains though. Â According to themselves they got less than 6 months! Â Going to Singapore in three weeks. Looking forward to seeing more of this!

thirtypercent
Â Full layout of the the duelling coasters at the end of the video. Â Love how the inverted track goes underground and loops around both the tracks at the lift hill. deano
Looking at thier website, there are still heaps of jobs available. Â Does anyone know if a company like Universal would pay to relocate a new employee from another country? Â Suddenly, a move to Singapore is starting to sound good. Jew
^You wouldn't be working for Universal. You would be working for Resorts World Sentosa. I would guess that at best you would get a stipend of some sort. I highly doubt they cover everything.
deano
Thanks for the reply Joey. Â I was having one of those moments where I was actually thinking it would be worth the costs of moving overseas for a job in a theme park. Â I would love to do it, but after a bit more thought, not Singapore, my preference would be to live in the USA.
weesen
Have just visited the construction site today. The Jurassic River Rapids is beginning to take shape. Lots of vegetation were planted today. The layout is similar to the Jurassic rides existing today: Ride through herbivorous areas in vegetation, goes to backstage, splashdown but now this is done with rapids rafts. There is a slow meander area and then the trough gets wide and undulating. This follows with a part where it slopes downwards to an outdoor cave like area. After that it goes into the backstage area (which is a covered flume area). This culminates in what I think is an elevator lift that takes the raft up for a splash down ending. Photos to follow I hope.
vacoaster
I was thinking about applying there too for one of their full time design or engineering positions

weesen
Came back from the construction site today ... with pictures. As I am only able to view from the back of the park as well as on the Sentosa Express (the monorail that runs through the site), I'm only able to get views of some of the attractions. Here are some of the pics. More lift hill. Does anyone think that the lift hills have LIM? The Cylon vertical loop will encapsulate the twin lift hills. After the vertical loop, Cylon will swing back over the lift hill for a inline roll (behind the station). View of the lift hills with supports for the cobra roll. Scaffolding to the right will be the facade of Revenge of the Mummy. Human brake run. Cockscrew of Cylon after coming from the soon to be installed Cobra Roll. Soon to be installed brake area for Cyclon track. Battlestar Galactica Duelling coasters. The red track (human) and blue track (Cylon) will interact at different points. More coaster track likely to form the cobra roll of the Cylon (blue) track. A view of the park with SFX theater to the left, the supports for more glass scaffolding and the Battlestar Galatica duelling coasters. Hollywood Boulevard. There will be a glass canopyh over it just like in Japan. The structure in scaffolding at the back of the photo is the replica of the Balboa tree in Journey to Madagascar. The outdoor section of Journey to Madagascar. Soon this will be behind the steel wall. This is the front view of the resort. You can see the family coaster the Dragon in red as well as the turrets of the Shrek 4D theater.

weesen
More pics. This time it is of Jurassic Park River Rapids. Enjoy! Close up of the indoor area. The back of the vertical lift. The cliff like area as the flume slopes downwards into the indoor area. Th structure with the green roof behind is the Waterworld amphitheater. More of the vertical lift and the flying pterandons. There ar hazards along the route like that log. Behind the rapids looks like track for the flying pterandons. The structure you see in the middle is the lift for the rapids ride. This is the loading station. Notice that there is no turntable.
Gav
They're building those bloody flying pterandons again? Lets hope this time they actually make it so it can take more than 6 people in total. Â That aside, this park is looking better and better each time I see it. This could well be one of the worlds better rapids rides...Actual elaborate theming, with a vertical lift and drop! weesen
Screamscape has just posted information confirming that Battlestar Galactica will feature launched lift hills. Yay!! First launched duelling coasters in the world. Â Please note that my comments on the ride behind the rapids being the Flying pterandons are merely speculation. The track sure looks like it.
