SharkTums Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Ok everyone, I know a bunch of you have been asking for one, and I keep forgetting about Dave's awesome idea so it's time to get started! We all know our Site Admin Robb Alvey...well did you know he has a magazine named after him!? Yup, the Robb Report! It's time to Photoshop the cover and make it truly his own. Perhaps he's reporting on food, how awesome video games are, his love for rodents...oh wait, that would be the Elissa Report...anyways come up with something good! We'll limit entries to two per person. You MUST upload your entry to this thread. Please try to keep your entry size to less than 600 X 800. We'll let you have about a week, then we'll start a new thread and open up voting. The winner will receive a kickass bag of TPR Crap! Here are some samples of the 'normal' cover of the magazine. Or start from scratch! Find your own online... Feel free to use one of these...

darkrideperson Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Halloa. I wasn't sure if the website wanted a more realistic one or a funny one so I made a realistic one to be on the safe side. Here it is:
robbalvey Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Halloa. I wasn't sure if the website wanted a more realistic one or a funny one so I made a realistic one to be on the safe side. Here it is: Nah, that's great! Good to see people coming up with different ideas! --Robb
darkrideperson Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 This is what I was thinking of. That is awesome. The photo editing is practically seamless. I can barely tell the difference between the old magazine and the new one.
dkadave Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Here's my halloween themed one. Halloween themed
vjgx Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Entry #1: Definitely not my best effort... I'll probably make a second one that's better.
Angry_Gumball Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Ok...here's what I have done...the characters are taken from the ever-so-popular Action 52 for NES (Fuzz Power, Bubblegum Rosie).
arrowfanman Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 I'm actually sort of proud of it!...not bad for Paint Shop Pro 4 (copyright 1998)

darkrideperson Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 okay, so heres my attempt at the magazine. I used paint because im not cool like everyone else & have photoshop but i hope you guys like it! I tried!!! Yes, unfortunatey Photoshop is very expensive. However, if you don't have photoshop, there is a free program out there that is very similar to it called GIMP-shop that you can use to create things of photoshop quality. It was the same program I used to familiarize myself with the PS interface before I was able to purchase photoshop and it can do almost anything that photoshop can (and a few things it can't). Granted, I would take my Photoshop anyday, but if you aren't able to afford it, this program can definately get you a good quality photo edit. Here is the link to the site where you can download GIMP-shop or the original program called "the GIMP": http://www.gimpshop.net/
ParkTrips Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Knowing that the "real" Robb Report is about the best in luxury, I went with a parody of their annual "Best of the Best" issue... its almost too easy...
