I enjoyed living in AZ, where we didn't do daylight savings time.

Yeah. I don't understand the whole daylight savings time thing.

japan has no daylight savings time and i was not gonna

change the time! my parents won't let me do that stupid

coz if alarm clocks set to daylight savings time in my place

it would ring in the very night! they do hate clocks ringin' when

they feel sleepy lol!

They should have left it as last Sunday. I woke up an hour late thinking "Hey, it's going to be nice and dark today at Great America way before closing!" and I start work at 8:30 till about noon. It's already 9:00 when I get a call (It's 8:00 our time). I ended up a half hour late due to this 1-week delay.

My understanding was that the magic day was the first Sunday in November this year. But maybe it's different for different regions?

^ I believe you are correct, at least for the US.

I know I was very confused this past Sunday morning when half of my clocks changed automatically, including the one on my nightstand.

"But the sun shouldn't be up this early???"

I was baffled at this thread. I thought Elissa screwed up but then I realized that this thread was started last year!

To avoid changing ANY clocks, and to further my lazyness, I have my VCR (yes, I have a VCR!) clock set to daylight savings time and a regular clock set to non-daylight savings time. All I have to do Sunday is look at a different clock!

I live in the great MidWest, and last year and this year, we changed our clocks later than we had in previous years- I've noticed lots of bank-signs and marquees nearby that are still programmed to change on the 4th Sunday of Oct.

However, I get to sleep in an extra hour this weekend, so I am NOT complaining.

We had it last week the night between Saturday and Sunday, I just woke up like usual in the morning, then after breakfast realized the issue, turned back the clock, had an hour 'extra' yay!, (however I would've slept that if I had remembered).

So basically now the time difference from here is shorter to the US (or at least some parts?) until Sunday. That doesn't really mean or matter anything just thinking.

"This sunday don't forget or you will be an hour late to wherever you have to be." (spaceace12)

Especially because this Sunday is West Coast Bash!

In Holland (and probably the rest of western europe) we have to wait 3 weeks. Daylight saving starts here on march 30.
