Basically everything was new to me except the Studio Tour and Jurassic Park. It was a lot of fun and a good day to visit. Even with all the construction going on, the crowds were manageable. Studio Tour: Still the best ride in the park. You really can't experience this anywhere else. Kong 360 was really cool! Jurassic Park: A fun ride, although I remember it seeming like the greatest ride ever when it opened, based on the hype & advertising. Transformers: I really liked this ride. I couldn't care less about the franchise, but the tech is so cool! While in line, it broke down and delayed us for maybe 5 minutes so we got a free front-of-the-line pass for another ride! Revenge of the Mummy: Good not great. I understand the Florida version is better? The theming during the coaster portion looked like cheap carnival theming compared to the dark ride portion. Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem: Very fun. I didn't realize this was so popular (I haven't seen the movies). I really liked the characters though and my fiance loved it. Simpsons: I loved the queue and pre-show. This was by far the longest line of the day (30 minutes) but it flew by because of the episode clips. I loved the meta humor making fun of theme parks. They really went all out! Animal Actors (show): Fun, cute little show. Made me realize how poorly trained my dogs are Special Effects Stage (show): Awful awful awful! The benches are so small and cramped. The theater was over-packed, forcing everyone to scoot over until we were touching people on all sides. My legs were right up against the person in front of me. Plus, the show itself was lame and full of cringeworthy jokes (Charlie Sheen jokes? Really?) I was hoping to learn more about special effects, but what they showed wasn't even that interesting. This show should go. Shrek 4D: Skipped it because we were ready to leave (and didn't really care anyway). Waterworld: Closed for Refurb. I'm surprised this still exists. Most guests probably don't even remember this movie. Also, have they said what's happening to the House of Horrors space? It's walled off but I have no clue what's replacing it. You shut your dirty mouth! Waterworld is awesome! Seriously, the show is a lot of fun for being so cheesy. After the restructuring last year it flows much better and the explosions are awesome. I remember the show being a lot of fun and I was disappointed to see it was closed. My wife had never seen the movie when we saw the show in Singapore and Japan, and she just enjoyed watching the stunts and effects and the men splashing the audience at the start, she liked the look of the arena too. She had no idea it was based on a film when we were in Japan, after Space Fantasy and Hollywood Dream, she assumed Waterworld was just the name of that area of the park. I think a lot of the Rube Goldbergian stuff that is done is pretty interesting to watch, and that is always neat to me. I remember taking my dad to see that show back in March 2013. It was nice, and even though the plot & humor of the show may get kinda goofy, it's fine. Plus, it keeps the GP entertained(and wet).
