PVA62
I have yet to see Dragster go on the webcam. Is it still not operating?? It was earlier today, but haven't seen it go for awhile.

GigaG
lol, look closer at that video. They didn't slow the ride down, it just ran with one less car on media day because it kept rolling back with the heavier 5 car train it was designed for since it's an unreliable piece of crap. Because of that it flew over the top. It's slower in more recent videos because of the added weight, but if the ride ran those 12 seat trains from media day the line would be horrendous. Since they removed the tires and added the "extra" car (that the ride was always supposed to have) they increased the capacity of each train from 12 to 18. I thought that that was just an illusion caused by the wheel theming. Wow. It's weird to see TTD running like that.
edmx
Am I been so paranoid or this visit could be related with some kind of new attraction (dark ride) to Cedar Point for 2015? (Wonder Mountain's Guardian)
CPSFMMCW
I saw that! I dunno! Good question. Maybe...but I was already guessing that that was gonna be coming to the park, so this would only confirm my speculation.
XYZ
So, just because the Digital Communications Manager of Cedar Point is visiting Wonderland means that Cedar Point is getting a dark ride????

Swede
I've never been on TTD but when I eventually make it to Cedar Point I much better like the chance of getting a rollback if it doesn't fly like a greased lightning over the top. And a rollback is what we all want, right?
rcjp
^It's not that likely, I guess. I was there for two days and saw only one. I remember the operator saying something like: "73 times (I don't really know what that is) and it's never happened to me!" Looking at the dragster video cam I noticed that only some trains would make the track sway. Don't know why, though.
coasterbill
Dragster sways like crazy on the transition from the launch track to the vertical track up the tower. It's really cool to watch and it's done it since it opened.
rcjp
^Maybe I just couldn't see it but I didn't look like it swayed every time.
Swede
Do you have a link to the web-cam in question? The ones on Cedars homepage just gives me stills of the parking lot et.c
coasterbill
It's the live video cams but they always move them so they're not pointed on Dragster at the moment... right now they're on the front gate and Millennium Force.

Superbatboy
Looking at the two cams simultaneously, GaterKeeper absolutely eats people up compared to MF. There's like a 2.5 train average for every ONE of MFs. Raptor too
Koasterking48
If there is some way to get these live video feeds as your screensaver or wallpaper, that would be even better!
tororific
Looking at the two cams simultaneously, GaterKeeper absolutely eats people up compared to MF. There's like a 2.5 train average for every ONE of MFs. Raptor too yeah, now that operations are down and guests are familiar with it, that thing is a GREAT people eater. And although i wasn't terribly impressed with it last year, for some reason I really enjoyed riding it this past week, particularly in the front 2 rows, where the first drop and that slow hang time in the first inversion is great. It was a good investment for CP -- can really handle the summer crowds. MF dispatch is surprisingly slow -- they no longer use the lift as a potential block to allow dispatch before the train hits the final brakes, so it is always a three train stack. coasterbill
Gatekeeper is an awesome ride, I really don't know why people dislike it so much. It's not forceful but it's very comfortable now and the first drop and following element plus both keyholes are just incredibly fun. Gatekeeper might actually have my favorite first drop on any coaster not named El Toro.
Koasterking48
I have yet to ride Toro, so I still reserve Millennium's drop as my favorite (it may not be my favorite coaster, but the drop is really spectacular). Gatekeeper's is still very fun.
coasterbill
Yeah I said it "might have" my favorite because I'm on the fence about it too thanks to Millennium Force and a few others (Tennessee Tornado's tunneled first drop, Apollo's Chariot's first drop (a lot of airtime in the back) and Goliath's first drop at SFNE... I'm sure I'm forgetting some). El Toro is absolutely the best though, I've never experienced that kind of ejector airtime all the way down a drop before. rcjp
^^I haven't been able to try el toro and, actually, I was very slightly disappointed by MF's drop. I don't know, I guess I was expecting a little bit more air. I'm not sure which one is my favourite, either it is skyrush's which gave me some ridiculous airtime but then it did hurt my legs fairly badly or shambhala's which, despite not having the intensity of the former, feels really long and has some great sustained air. I really enjoyed gatekeeper's, I wouldn't say it is my favourite, but it certainly deserves a nice spot.
Woodie Warrior
GateKeeper's twist and drop is one of my favorite coaster elements. Just dangling and slowing turning at that height is really fun.
