Maverickrocks 0
Don't see anything wrong with Raptor. I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with the coaster itself... it just seems like the protective nets and the sign were made in the 70s. 1970's!? I don't think so. Raptor's entrance is totally 1990's, the sign and the nets..and I think it looks cool. It was probably intended to look pretty modern when it was built anyway. Â With the new ride on Milliennium Island and with the possibility of it crossing over the lagoon or being built over it, it's possible this could be the last year for Paddlewheel Excursions. Ridership has drastically fallen over years since its entrance was moved, and the ride is a shadow of its former self (Western Cruise).
snowboard83 0
Those people don't even realize CP Spiderman is watching... Â Interesting side note...those spiders are already out in SE VA also. Weird cuz they don't usually come out here until mid-late august. Â SNOWBOARD83 winter forecast...SNOWY and COLD in the EAST!
CPmaverick 0
The Spider's are finally tired of Mantis being the big bug on the block.
slither37 0
The 2010 rumored ride was appearently just flags marked from the local power company. There just changing something with there power routing. Here's the link: Â This would be one step to building a new ride, or, it could mean I was right... lol. So going by past history, this would mean a new ride.

coolcalicoaster 0
Haven't been to CP since Maverick's opening and I am going soon. Can someone help me with the best day to go, as far as crowds and wait-times. I always figure middle of the week but many of you would know better than me.

I always figure middle of the week but many of you would know better than me.  This might help: http://www.thepointol.com/crowds.html  have fun!  According to that you are basically screwed. (line wise)  Pretty much, yeah. The ideal times to go to Cedar Point are early season (opening to mid-June) and after the summer season, but before Halloweekends starts. Anything in between there's usually at least 1-2 hour lines for every major ride. You might get lucky with low crowds a few days here and there, but not too many.
CPmaverick 0
Sundays during October are usually quiet with the exception of closing day.
DBru 32
When do the BUGS at Cedar Point die down? Â Lines weren't bad at all when I went June 9th and 10th, but those bugs were EVERYWHERE. It was hard to inhale without sucking in a mufflehead or two... Â (I'd much rather wait in lines than have to deal with those things again.)
CPmaverick 0
^Most of the bugs should be gone by now, definitely by the end of July.
LJGoBlue 0
^Not true, just went on Sunday and there were quite a few bugs. Night rides on Millie in the front row don't feel good when you get ambushed by small gnats. Its on a lake, there will always be bugs.
CPmaverick 0
The bugs this year have been especially bad. Normally most of them would of been gone by now. Thats why Mayflies aren't called Julyflies.
coolcalicoaster 0
Thanks for everyones advice. I have decided to go next Tuesday. Too bad I dont have a TPR shirt to wear
Tbcoasterfan 0
Bugs hung around extra long due to the unseasonably cooler temps we've been having here. Got in the low 60's last night....... Hey global warming......riiiight.
LJGoBlue 0
^Yeah a few nights ago it got down to the forties where I live in Oregon, just outside of Toledo. It has been a weird summer to say the least. One day it will be 90, the next it will be 65.
Tbcoasterfan 0
Yeah Saturday's high is only supposed to be
coolcalicoaster 0
Going to CP on Tuesday. Can everyone spread a false lie that the park is closed? I want those 20 minute waits on Raptor, Maverick, MF, and TTD!
slither37 0
Actually, park may be rather crowded as there are specials running for platinum pass holders, bring a friend for 24.99 and that friend gets early entry, etc.... Â I think these specials run most of next week. According to the emails i got.
Jerrykoala2112 0
If I got on Saturday from 6 till closing and all of Sunday, will I get to ride all the coasters and some flats? Maxair, Demon Drop, the S&S tower and skyhawk and the 2 water rides with 17 coasters? I am going those days and I badly want to ride them.
Homeboy23 0
You should be able to manage that, especially if you are there all day Sunday. Do you have a Platinum Pass or staying at one of their hotels? Getting that extra hour Sunday morning would help.
CPmaverick 0
Cedar Point has started to put up Halloweekends signs including one for a new haunted house. Sounds like it is going to be something like a haunted hotel. from http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/fun/blog/index.cfm
