Food Network Needs Our Help For A New TV Show!

Recommended Posts

My favorite is Mama Melroses at Disney MGM.

You also can't beat the Wine and Food Festival at EPCOT. So many different things to eat and drink.

I just found out the boss is sending me to a convention in Orlando in October. Wine and Food festival 2 years in a row for me!!!

Ron

"Thanks boss for 8 days in Orlando with only 2 days of convention time"

Oh, I almost forgot:

Most unique flavors of Popcorn: Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySeas. By far!!

And yes, BGE does have some amazing desserts and BBQ. And the new location for the BBQ place at BGA right next to Sheikra is genius!

I have to vote for Knott's!!!

Knott's Berry Farm holds the patent for the Boysenberry. They developed it, and use it as a topping for their funnel cake... which makes it unbeatable!!!

Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinners were famous and unforgettable long before the theme park came into existance.

I am just gonna pull random quotes and reply to them lol --

"Knott's Berry Farm - Best Fried Chicken"

YES!! And it is a long-standing tradition also - LOTS of history. Very good stuff.

"My favorite "theme park restaurant" is Rainforest Cafe."

I do not count this as a theme park food place, I see people on many boards acting like it is because many of them are in the same area.

Ok, my votes in addition to Fired chicken at KBF mentioned above.

If you go to ____________ park, you HAVE to try their ______________

Going to stay with Disneyland on this one.... it is a HARD call between the Turkey Legs and the Dole Whips.... do I have to pick one of them?

My favorite "theme park restaurant" is ________________

Easy - the Blue Bayou at Disneyland! It is better since they re-opened and sitting there with the boats going by is amazing. When you combine those two it is one of the best I have been to easy.

This thread has gone 11 pages in about 8 hours. You would think we are a bunch of Acer's the way we're talking about food!

Or we're just a bunch of hungry enthusiasts talking about food at our favorite parks, which is just making us even more hungry, and causing us to talk even more about food, which is making us even more....I think you get the idea.

In trying to think about my favorite theme park food, I could not come up with a single thing not found at Walt Disney World! I can barely think of anything I've eaten in other parks that stood out as being excellent.

'Ohana (at the Polynesian) and Boma (at the Animal Kingdom Lodge) are both incredible, and unlike anything I have found in any other theme park. I have to practically hire a bellman to roll me out of either of them!

The best burgers are at Beaches N Cream (at Yacht and Beach Club)

The best atmosphere is most definitely 50's Prime Time Cafe (at MGM)

Best breakfast is at Whispering Canyon (at Wilderness Lodge)

Best chicken quesadilla (I have ever had!) is at the All Star Music food court

Best salad is at Tusker House (in Animal Kingdom)

I also LOVE the Teppanyaki Dining Room, but it's fairly similar to lots of other Japanese restaurants, so I'd rather recommend their more unique palces.

Just about the only thing Disney *doesn't* do well is pizza. I've never had good pizza at WDW

I also agree with everyone who recommended Dollywood. While I only had one meal there, it was a very good one, and they have TONS of food choices.

Here are my votes (yeah they are all repeats):

If you go to Disneyland park, you HAVE to try their Monte Cristo (at the Blue Bayou).

If you go to Knotts Berry Farm park, you HAVE to try their Fried Chicken.

If you go to Knoebels park, you HAVE to try their teaberry ice cream.

I have to say that the first two are memories, since I don't eat meat anymore.

I sent a suggestion for a show like this a few years ago to Food Network. It should be great. My favorites include:

WDW has so many great places. I think California Grill is my favorite. The sushi there is excellent. I have only eaten at O'hana once, but I thought it was really good. I've always enjoyed the thick Rice Krispie Treats sold on Main Street. San Angel Inn has the best atmosphere of any park restaurant. Someday I hope to dine at Victoria & Albert's which I hear is the pinnacle of dining.

BGE has great food overall. I especially enjoy Das Festhaus and the Italian place.

Kennywood, Knoebel's, & Holiday World can't be beat for value.

Of course the Potato Patch fries are famous at Kennywood, but I have had other great meals all around the park.

The deep fried pierogies at Knoebel's are the best snacking food at any park. The pizza was also excellent.

The fudge at Holiday World is the best fudge anywhere.

I had some great tacos at Indiana Beach.

There are others, but these stand out to me.

I travled to Disney World in the summer of 2005. I thought Epcot had great food. You could get McDonalds, Mexican, Italian, Japanese, or the best, German Bratwurst. The food was well cooked and tasted delicious.

Yae! Food network and Theme Parks!

(Robb.. I think you should pitch a travel around the world and try different theme park food show.. )

1) Dole Whip at WDW and DL. This is one of those "Must Have" unique treats.

2) O'hana - Overall a wonderful experience. Great food and Atmosphere and a perfect view of the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom.

3) Boysenberry at Knotts - What a unique story and a unique food item used in many ways throughout the park.

4) Burgers at Beaches and Cream at Disney's Beach Club Resort - Best burgers at WDW or anywhere else in Orlando.

5) Food and Wine Festival at Epcot - What a perfect paring of food and theme parks - this *has* to be featured. The special cooking demonstrations and dinners with the world class chefs are only part of the fun.

My list is a bit disney-centric but I have not had any amazing theme park food anywhere else.

Best restaurant/Pasta;

Wine Country Tattioria at the Golden Vine Winery @ Disney's CA. Adventure. Disney's best CA resturant. well at least three years ago when I was there. Take the last seating, Desert will arrive with the Electric Parade. Very cool.

Best Amusment type food. Surf City Grill at the Santa Cruz Beachboardwalk. Deep Fried Veggies, Huge dounghts, and my personal Fav. Polish Corndog. You have to ask to get one of these, not on the menu. Also hot link corndog and regular corndogs. Hand battered goodness. Bring the tums

Also another Vote for Holiday worlds fudge.

and Honable mention for Buschs Gardens Williamsburg for the sausages and sour kraut in the Das Festhaus Very tasty.

IMO Paramount Canada's Wonderland aded a new restaraunt this year. They Changed Southside Grill to the Backlot Cafe, and this restaraunt has the best prime rib roast beef sandwhiches and chicken fingers. As for other foods, they have the best funnel cake there aswell
