tarheel1231 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 But I like SPAM. Did someone get to this joke before me? Aww poop.
GnastyGnoric7 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Magic Conch Shell, what should we do about Spam Threads? Nothing The Shell has spoken
larrygator Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Magic Conch Shell, what should we do about Spam Threads?Nothing The Shell has spoken WRONG! You click on the icon that looks like an exclamation point, to notify the moderating team. The moderating team will make the Spam thread magically disappear.
boardwalkbullet91507 Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 BUMP Three back to back to back popped up. Again, thanks to the mods for quick responses on removing these spam threads. Y'all are great!
Garet Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Bump just found some spam in some-one elses thread, although the mods must be super fast, this is one of the first times i've ever seen it.
GnastyGnoric7 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Time for a Bump, since someone responded to a Spam Thread.
booink Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 ^oh that was a spam, I tough the guy was serious. I did knew the rules, just didn't found out it was fake.
Wes Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 ^ Don't worry about it this time, just don't respond in the future. Just flag it as spam and move on.
Nrthwnd Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 The newest trick I've seen of these things, is their inserting the SPAM into an already exiting thread, as a post, with the link embedded. Those are fairly easy to watch out for. And it can be reported, too. The ( !) is there in the post, as it is in all posts.

Those are fairly easy to watch out for. And it can be reported, too. The ( !) is there in the post, as it is in all posts. I've seen 1 or 2 where they've actually seemed to almost make sense and been related to the topic with a link, I just look at the post count of the user and the link that comes up when I put my mouse over it, if they only have 3-4 posts I quickly check the link instead of clicking and report it. Sometimes the link can look like it is related and redirects me to spam, do you get in trouble if you ever accidentally report a post and it turns out to be legit?
