odene497 Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 Auburn,NY Auburn, home of hundreds of thousands of crows.(In the winter) You may have seen my city on TV for it. This steeple is about 500 ft away from my house A piece of downtown
Steffen_Dk Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 My city - the 6th largest in Denmark - really doesn't have any skyline, but it has a nice atmosphere, so I just post some pictures of the city. Here is the north habour One of the oldest buildings called Helligaandshuset And a map
darklingscribe Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 Well this is what it normally looks like this time of year: Seriously though, once the fog lifts San Francisco can be beautiful. A different angle:
Calvin Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 1) Fresno sucks. 2) The sunset is purple because of the smog. 3) No that building is not Oriental-themed. 4) That's downtown, AKA ghettoville. 5) We haven't had a new "big building" for over thirty years. 6) Fresno is really big. 7) Never come here or I will stab you for your own stupidity.
canadianfreak Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 Ottawa's skyline, yay politics! at night
mombat Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 It's not a skyline, but it's my home. Shavehead Lake, Cass County, Michigan (aka:paradise)
Angry_Gumball Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 Overviewage of my ever-so-ghetto recreation-starved city. Rare shot of being able to see across the San Francisco bay as there's usually that nasty brown smog everywhere...even the sky it's self looks brown above you as well as off in the distance.
Golfie Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 The building with the boob^4 roof is where my sister graduated (U.S. Cellular Arena). That round thing on top of the white building is the spinning restaurant at the Hyatt. The tall brown, white, and grey building in the upper left is the Milwaukee Center and, in my opinion, the coolest one there (besides the art museum! [not in this picture])
St.LouisBOI Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 Here's St. Louis. View of downtown from the new Busch Stadium. Most of the city. Taken from across the Mississippi of downtown.
mforce79 Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 It's not much, but Richmond actually has a halfway decent looking skyline from across the river. Too bad it sucks once you actually get INTO the city. I took these pictures myself and it's about as close as I usually get to being downtown.
jamesdillaman Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Cincinnati has no love in this thread as of yet, so here's my favortie picture of the skyline taken from the kentucky side of the river. -James "It's only about half the skyline, but it's pretty" Dillaman
Nrthwnd Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 My partner David forwarded this great fast-forwarded video of our city. There's even a few seconds of the home park (Playland) on it too, night shots with the lights on! It shows the skyline of Vancouver a lot, from dawn to dusk. Enjoy. (Sorry it's not a pic attached, but I just wanted to share, all the same.)
rubysparkles Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 The Shard has made London's skyline better. But my new home in Hong Kong has got to have one of the best skylines in the world. London Hong Kong
shivtim Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 A few of my photos of Atlanta. Midtown Atlanta Downtown from Georgia Tech View from my balcony Bank of America, the tallest skyscraper in the US outside of New York and Chicago
rcjp Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 I live in a pretty small place (compared to the cities in the US). It's called Coimbra and it has a population of around 150 000. Here are a few pictures (on the top you can see the 723 year old university).
beatle11 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 I suppose Hamilton has somewhat of a Skyline, so here it is. Really old looking postcard, but not much has changed in the last 20 years...
Sir Clinksalot Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 There are no buildings taller than 2 stories in my city so there really isn't a skyline of buildings ... but there is this. Also, if you turn to the right about 90 degrees you'd see the ocean about 5 miles in the distance.
ernierocker Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 ^ Do they still sell wigs there? No, but they really should embrace that Simpson's episode and sell them.
