okinawaboy11 Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 Yowza! It's hot all over. With this nation wide (USA that is) heat wave, I was wondering how hot has it gotten where you live. So far today in Germantown, MD (30 miles outside of DC) it's gotten up to 97. Whadda 'bout you?
FlippyTrick09 Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 HECK YES! But we're used to it... Tifton, Ga... South West Georgia... HOLLA! They said it would be 94, but it would feel like 107... and boy did it feel like 107... we went to the field to talk to some one and I almost DIED! Dang it was hot... but It aint no more cause its raining(finnaly)
okinawaboy11 Posted July 17, 2006 Author Posted July 17, 2006 ^ Gah dude I could never live with that. Well, maybe When I lived in okinawa, it always stopped at 95. But the bad thing was, the heat index was like 105 with 100% humidity! The heat index here is 105. It's supposed to get up to 102.
trustkill22 Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 its about 35' C and I had to work today in a warehouse with no air conditoning or fan. I think I went through about 5 bottles of water.
Token Yankee Guy Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 From weather.com. Wow, 99% of the country is experiencing a heat wave. In my town it's 94F, but it feels like 100F because of the humidity. We can never get a dry heat...
CoasterFanatic Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 Crotch-Pot Cooking. That is all I have to say.
FlippyTrick09 Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 Dang I feel sorry for Oklahoma.... Its all Global warming...and George Bush...
vjgx Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 Yes, it's very hot where I live. Torrance, CA... 48 miles SW of SFMM. I'm too lazy to look at the temperature, though.
KrakenKing Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 98° In Orlando.... That was earlier... now it's 79° because it just rained...
Bonkers Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 Feels aboot 108 in Austin, although it's only about 99 degrees. But still, humidity and all... Oh, and the guy who blamed it on "global warming"...although I do believe in it, this is not due to GW. This is mainly because of a high pressure system over the US which is not allowing a cold front from Canadia to come to the US. SO IT'S CANADA'S FAULT! (Just kidding, I love Canadia to death...)
woah_killa Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 Hm...99 degrees feels like 101. That feels normal here. I'm surprised the humidity here is only like 29%, usually it's like 90%! Oh yeah, I forgot, the other day some guy died here because he got too hot, his body temperature was 108 degrees when he died.
Rollerholden Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 Thank god for air conditioning. The little thing outside says 105ish.
woah_killa Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 Thank god for air conditioning. The little thing outside says 105ish. I wish my air conditioning stopped working for a few seconds, it's so cold in here!
coasterguy618 Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 Today it was supposed to go up to 101, but it is supposed to feel like 110. I HATE 100 DEGREE WEATHER
CoasterCrazy Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 Its 93 in Atlanta right now and the high is going to be 95 tomorrow.
phazan Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 Accuweather.com says it is currently 103. Pretty much it is like this all summer where I live. *sigh*
Rollerholden Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 ^The weather is so different here compared to Ohio. I gotta say, I think I liked it better there, althought it might have been I was at CP.
CoasterExpert13 Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 Right now it's 92 degrees here in Pitteburgh Pa...it was a little hotter earlier. It feels like it's over 100 degrees. There's no breeze at all...just this damn heat...I feel parched
spaminacan11 Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 101 was as high as I saw it get up to today, but it might have gotten hotter because I was mowing the lawn. (Oh boy was that fun). The heat index was about 110 though...
pvcoasterguy Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 97 here in Iowa. With the high humidity, the heat index is 112!
dandaman Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 The heat index has been hovering somewhere in the 100's for the past three days. Canadians are melting in the streets.
