MontagnaMagica
DOD will be the first ride in a long time that will make me second guess myself as I hop aboard those cars. Â Same here! Drop towers are the only rides that I still fear!
kylexy2298
Can't wait for LL:DOD to open! It will be the first drop tower ride that I will go on. Edited February 8, 2012 by kylexy2298
Nyteowl
DOD will be the first ride in a long time that will make me second guess myself as I hop aboard those cars. I know, for some reason they have a weird effect on people. A friend of mine is scared to death of riding a 250 ft drop tower, but has no problem riding a 300 ft coaster . coasterfreak101
^It's that freefall that kills me. I hate Drop Zone while I'm going up because I'm terrified of the drop back down, but I love it as soon as it's over and I'm ready to go again. It's so much different than a coaster - your whole world is just dropping out from beneath you!
skaunit
I'm completely with you guys... I would have no real fear of going on a 400ft coaster, but even the idea of LL:DOD scares the heck out of me. I still get freaked out the first time I ride Drop Zone also, but once it's done I'm all set to do it again!
LaMapa
It is very intimidating! The drop scares you to death! But that's fine with me! I am glad to have more challenge! See you opening day, Lex Luthor!
dylanreich
Definitely going opening day as well, I've never been to an opening day for a ride at any park, and I'm sure as heck excited for this one!
vacoaster09
I think it will take some convincing for me to get on LL:DOD. I scream a complete octave higher than my tenor range voice and both Drop Towers at KI and KD scare the Crap out of me everytime.
galindoverhere
As much as I love thrill rides LL:DOD is a no-no for me. It looks too intimidating for me and I've only been on a limited number of drop towers.... Oh well, maybe if I get on, I'll get rid of my fear.... COASTER FREAK 11
I will not ride it. Elissa had to really convince me to get on Blue Fall in Japan, which I think is in the high 300s...I screamed all the way down. I'm not going on something that's going to be taller. rolercstrluvr
I will admit that I am intimidated but i'll get on this beast in a heartbeat. Drop towers don't really phase me that much.
cal1br3tto
I'm not quite sure why I'm not especially excited about LL; maybe because I think of SFMM as a "coaster park" and I'm mainly just worried about getting the rest of my credits in! I don't feel like I'll be scared of it, but there's a fair chance I will be once I'm actually on the ride. These days, I'm either scared before a ride but hardly at all upon boarding, or not at all scared before a ride but slightly nervous upon boarding. And that's when I'm scared at all. Hmm... tigers1985
^LL:DOD is a great change from a new coaster given that everyone last year was complaining it didn't have enough flat rides. Besides rumor has it well see a new big coaster in 2013. Hopefully a giga, dive or launch (in that order)
CoasterKings908
LL:DOD is scaring coaster enthusiast's all over the world..... LOVE IT! It's quite amazing how I can get on just about anything just fine, but second guessing LL:DOD. I trust the ride to be perfectly safe, it's all those strong G's that worries me. Freefallbestrideever
Hehe, I loved Freefall, but it was nowhere near that high! I chickened out at the drop tower in SFDK because there was no one there to force me So i said "meh, doesn't even count as a credit" The only reason i ever got on Supreme Scream is because i was with a group that walked on over to it and you have to man up (The only time i've ever had a genuine scream on a ride) I would have skipped Maliboomer if nobody ever suggested it, but of course you say to yourself "it's a freakin' kids ride at Disneyland!" TBH the face guards freaked me out even more, claustrophobic/mess with your eyesight/imagine someone puking and it just brings it to their face kinda deal. Â Since the SB was just here and i'm in a betting mood how about you guys put me down for $20 on a Maverick coaster in place of Log Jammer, $20 on a Dive machine in place of Deja Vu and $20 on a monster wooden coaster I'm not going out of my way to ride LL, but eventually i will, for the first year i will probably scope it out and say "what an awesome ride!! I remember when i used to think of that, but when it comes to actually riding it no way!"
Sir Clinksalot
^ There's a drop tower at SFDK? Â I love Drop Towers so I personally can't wait for LL:DOD. It's about time we had an awesome Intamin drop tower in SoCal. Â This could very easily turn into the best ride in SoCal, coaster or non-coaster. At least IMO. MontagnaMagica
Why do so many people think that a B&M Dive Machine would be a good addition to the park? Magic Mountain already has vertical drops (S:EFK, X2 [close enough]), inversions galore, and a floorless coaster (Scream!). I'm really hoping for a Giga coaster, or a terrain launcher with lots of airtime! Edited February 9, 2012 by MontagnaMagica

Manic Monte
^ Dive coasters are very fun, but IMO a dive coaster at SFMM would fall into the same trap that the park has been stuck in since forever, INVERSION city and a lack of airtime. Whatever they build next, I want to see some airtime hills, and don't think a dive coaster will provide that.

Hopefully it's a giga around 320 ft with a bunch of airtime hills, and I don't wanna hear the whole " it wouldnt make sense with Goliath already there". Goliath has zero airtime and if the giga was 320 plus feet, it would be around the same height differential as Leviathan and Behemoth, 70 ft. With the location, it could be either a giga or a blitz.
cooksta77
I doubt it's a Giga. (While I maybe called crazy and just a flat out idiot for saying this) I just have a feeling we're gonna see a Mega-Lite before we see a Giga. While I'm probably way off I'm just gonna be happy with airtime. -Cookie

I'm not callin you crazy but.....
