rawrtotheargh
I must admit that I am guilty of the single rider thing. But I usually talk to my friend while people are unloading. And if there is an empty spot she sometimes will let me take it. But I don't expect it or ask for it.
ChrisZer0
Im in the same place, as I work front line desktop support for one of the worlds largest entertainment companies. I deal with both nice folks and some real a-holes on a daily basis. I also many years ago got that up-front guest service role when I worked at SFoT. I still to this day give those guys and gals respect for their job...
Mr.Six
^ I've heard that if you b**** about something enough at Guest Relations they will pretty much do anything to satisfy you. Its always worth a shot to ask. The worst that could happen is they say no. Â I don't know what source you go that from rawtotheargh, but you couldn't be anymoreWROtothaNG. ebl
"And Eric. Did you see the ride attendants name? Cause I know the crew on Goliath pretty well and they are all really sweet girls. It seems weird that they would be snotty [to] you." (rawrtotheargh) Â As for the girl's name, I really don't remember what it was, and as I said, I chose not to report her anyway. And after doing some thinking, I decided that perhaps what I perceived as "snotty" just may have been her exhaustion from running in the station all day. Goliath was running three trains and not stacking any, so you know she'd been hustling and most likely not intentionally rude to me. Â After doing some thinking about this---and I actually had a hard time sleeping because of it (think I need a life?)---I've decided that I am not going to do the single rider thing anymore until/unless the park actually designates a single rider line at any attraction. Besides, I go often enough to where if I don't ride a certain ride on one visit, I can the next time. Â One thing I will say in my defense is that as the lady at GR said, the park has discontinued the policy. And you can't discontinue something that never was. SFMM was indeed trying out a single rider policy, and a number of times I was greeted by an attendant with, "Single rider?" without my saying a word. ghost007jas
To be honest, I've always been too embarrassed to go up the exit for the whole single rider thing.. I'm sure I'm just too self conscience, but I've always been of the mind that if the park wants a special line for single riders, than they can designate one. Â I have no problem with people who do the single rider thing, but it's just not for me! Â Jake "I'll just buy a flashpass:)" Sundstrom
ebl
^ What you wrote in your signature actually says a lot---I don't think SFMM will have single rider lines just because that will cut down on the sales of the Flash Pass. And Six Flags certainly doesn't need that right now. Â That said, I still think SFMM ought to charge $200 for the Xtreme Pass because it'll still be worth it, and I even told Jay Thomas that one time. But with the recession and the perception of Six Flags by many as "not worth that much," such a price will not fly. Even at $200 for an entire year, the pass makes for a cheap babysitter for the locals at a mere $16.67 a month. Â Eric
WFChris
This might come off as REALLY cold, but I do not think ANYBODY should be coming up the exit ramp of a ride. No single riders, No 'VIP's,' not even handicapped folks (provided the line is accessible). With the introduction of the new Flash Pass, that should be the only way to avoid the queue. Â Chris. Jew
^^Honestly, I think it has more to do with the costs involved with modifying the queue's to properly handle Flashpass, single rider, and a regular line. They really didn't even bother to modify the queues for flashpass to begin with (they basically found unused employee access points and turned them into flashpass). Sir Clinksalot
^ And if you recall, Disney also had/has the same issue with FastPass on A LOT of their rides. Â The worst ones that come to mind are Indy and Roger Rabbit at Disneyland which basically ensures you are missing two amazing queues because of the FP line. Â Strangely enough, I can't recall any FP lines in FL that are as bad as those ... maybe Peter Pan??? Â It's MUCH nicer when you have queues designed with FastPass or FlashPass in mind (like at DCA). I do have to say though that SFMM does a better job with the current set up's on rides then they did when the FlashPass was first being used (the tickets). ebl
My guess is that Terminator will have a Flash Pass queue built into it in some way. The only thing is that it might partially comple miss the pre-show buildings and kill the theme for those using it. Â But come May 21, we'll see... Guest
It will probably be like the Dark Knight coaster where the regular queue/flashpass & disability merge right before the preshow.
ebl
"This might come off as REALLY cold, but I do not think ANYBODY should be coming up the exit ramp of a ride." (WFChris) Â That was cold---I got a chill reading it! Â But you're absolutely right; however, because rides like Riddler's Revenge and Goliath weren't originally designed to have such access, that was the only way that Flash Pass users could bypass the line. And even older attractions didn't even have an elevator in their queue, forcing wheelchair users to do the same. (I think Viper was the first ride at SFMM to have an elevator of some kind. The Americans With Disabilities Act [ADA] was passed in 1990, the same year that Viper opened.) Â Newer attractions will take "front of line" passes into consideration when their queues are designed. rawrtotheargh
^ Very true in regards to future designs of queues. Just look at X2's new queue. The flash pass line was clearly made just for that.

Jew
^^I've only been on X2 twice, so I don't remember how the queue is currently set up, but I know that the queue was designed for flashpass since it originally opened. It actually ran flashpass the first few weeks before they realized how horrible the capacity was. I believe it was the far right lane when you enter the switchbacks. Â Everyone walks through the line, but unless you have fastpass you spend most of your time waiting outside in the relatively unthemed overflow queue and then briskly walk through the themed section. I remember waiting 3 hours for that ride when they gave out the AT&T cards to decifer the hidden messages and being fascinated by the queue. Â In fact, after my first ride I seriously felt the queue was better than the actual ride.

Pretty much, except its the far left and it splits near the entrance. Its funny to get there at opening and see all those people hop the railing and landscaping to get to this "open" lane, only to be forced to walk back because its not the regular line. coasterking2981
Random question but Freefall's exit was located right next to Tidal Wave's right?  The article on Screamscape that mentioned Tidal Wave being removed for Wiggles World also mentioned that Wiggles World will occupy Freefall's former location, and I dont know why but I thought Freefall and Tidal Wave were on opposite ends of Riddler.
