OMG!!!!!!!!!! I just heard today, April 1st. 2009 that Six Flags Magic Mountain will be removing Deja Vu. Yes it was running very well earlier in March but it had a major break and is now down and going to be removed for good! If you are wondering how it broke, this is what happened : While the train was moving back to do its first drop and the cable snapped! No joke. When it snapped the cable flew through the station and part of the train came off the tracks. They have to tear it down because it is one of the most unreliable rides with the most down time.I was very upset with this news, one of my favorites at the park gone forever.

^^ It'd be funny to see SFMM have to admit all those people for $6 for dressing up, provided they brought the ad as proof. It was on their website.

But I think this is for real. And it sounds like it could be entertaining.

As for Jahan, I find it odd to have stopped being interested in parks so suddenly, especially after giving us some very nice updates.

What ever happened to Jahan? Just wondering.

He's just not into theme parks anymore like he used to be...that's at least what he told me!

Does this mean what I think it means...?

...Jahan finally got laid!?!?

Nothing will make someone "just not into theme parks anymore like he used to be" faster than the P in PMW. Anyhow, whatever he's up to, best of luck to him. He was a fun and entertaining guide during last year's WCB tour.

^ I kind of wish it was just a joke, but in all honestly that's EXACTLY what happened! In a nutsell, he started dating a girl in December and not many of his close TPR pals have heard from him since. I've had one conversation with him in mid-Feb where he told me "I'm just not into theme parks like I used to be" and that was pretty much it. I haven't seen or heard from him since.

^^ Yeah, he still works at SFMM and he worked during WCB, he's just not into parks or TPR like he used to be. (I know other people saw him but he wasn't part of the TPR crew this year like he was last year.)

He told me he likes working at the park, but he won't be doing any more updates and his "enthusiasm" for parks is pretty much dead.

I stopped by the park today. No Terminator photos because the Sky Tower was closed plus Robb said he'd be out there on Sun. to get a photo update.

Some items of interest -

They're no longer offering that $10 X2 charge for regular Flash passes, only Gold. I felt like riding X2 today so I did the hour long wait rather than pay for a Gold. $19 for the regular with an Xtreme pass is something I can stomach. $40something for the Gold, I can't.

For pass holders, check your receipts and make sure you get your discounts! I didn't get mine at Katy's Kettle today and I was so famished at that point (around 3 pm) that I didn't bother to get back in line to point it out to them. And then after purchasing a t-shirt from Flags, I noticed that the cashier had only given me a 15% discount only this time I went to a different line and pointed out that I should've been given 25%.

I don't know if they were newer employees or perhaps they were overwhelmed today and since I go quite frequently, I can just gloss it over but for someone else who just became a pass holder, this kind of stuff does not reflect too well on park operations.

-The Goliath ride loaders/restraint checkers were on their "A" game today! They were loading trains even faster than they do on Space Mountain and it was fun to see the two guys shuffle rapidly from car to car to push down lap bars.

-They held a Guitar Hero contest today (along with a Battle of the Bands). Hopefully my 248,153 score on Obstacle 1 expert was good enough for some sort of prize!

If I lived near SFMM, I would totally do this because I have the bald look going for me.

^ Awww man, I didn't see your post this morning. Most definately would have stopped by.

Were you the "President of Fun" this morning? If not, the guy looks very much like you. My son was who "opened the park" today. It was pretty cool.

Had an awesome day in the park. I was expecting the park to be MUCH busier than it was. Tatsu and X2 didn't open until shortly after opening so we did other stuff. Josh got 3 new credits today (Scream, Batman and Viper) and is now up to 58. Next time we go it will be Tatsu and Riddlers. He still says he's not ready for X2 or Deja Vu. He'll get there.

Here he is after his ride on Batman. It wasn't too long ago that he was afriad to ride stuff like Viper at Astroworld and Rock N Rollercoaster.

The X2 add-on thing really irks me, but if they feel that's what they gotta do.. Then that's what they gotta do.

Terminator looks really neat, and I look forward to getting out there opening day. Thanks for the update Robb, as well as the prices for the flash passes - you have no idea how much trouble I had looking for the prices on their website, haha.

I actually reccomend trying Google. I just Googled "six flags magic mountain flash pass price" and the Flash Pass page was the first thing that came up. I clicked "Buy Flash Passes" and it had the prices.

Hope that helps!
