kraxleRIDAH
After years and years of being a SFMM supporter and defendant, I have come to full realization how much I actually hate the park now. Maybe buying a 2006 season pass was a bad idea. Over the past few months I got to see everything about the park --- and there's more bad than good. The park is a complete disgrace to itself and what it used to be. Â L.A. Times has something to say about that too: Â http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/editorials/la-ed-magic02sep02,0,232565.story?coll=la-news-comment-editorials
arrowfanman
^ Yea, I read that too today. Thought he did a pretty good job of summing up the park. Â Thanks for the link. Â -Jahan
Mr.Six
Sorry, I must strongly disagree with him. First off, there 'is' rowdy teens. But they don't overun the park. And perhaps he would like to of been burned by the "motionless teacups".Which close often due to safety. Sorry this seems just like another jerk who does little research before posting a 'bitching' artical. _six
almightyfire
I was there last year and didnt see any of the things that people are saying. I think that management is looking for support on closing and filling our heads with nonsense. I didnt see any rowdyness at all. I went to Great Adventure this year and this is totally what Shapiro is saying about MM. That park was the worse i have ever encountered. Graffit, old paint, one car operation or no operation, rowdy ghetto teens oh I can go on. Now why dont I hear anything about this park. Great Adventure is foremost worse than any park I have been to. if MM is dirty than clean it. If it is ragedy than fix it point blank. It is all about money. I am a share holder in Six Flags and I dont think that this park should be closed at all because it is the best one. Magic Mounhtain and Cedar Point are the only 2 extreme parks we have and if Cedar Point is all coasters and it is profitable why cant MM be the same, It was 5 yrs ago. I still say I see hundreds of families waiting in line for coasters. Not only does Ward and June Clever spend money but other people do too. The Brady Bunch doesnt exist anymore and stop discriminating against the average worker who spends far more money in our economy because there are more of them. socalMAN123
After all of the bad things people have said about SFMM, I have never had a bad day there. The staff is usually OK, operations were good, and the park was pretty clean. But still, I find it hard to believe all of these horror stories from this park. Same thing goes for Knott's. ---Brent
wrs28330
I agree. It is a very fair and true representation of what the park has become.  Photo Trip around the Park: Small observations  Lets start w/placekeeping You can always count on all the midway games open. Hey, why don't you train some of these games people on some of the flat rides. Nah, that would never work. Topiaries? It's a small world is 80 miles away. ...because nobody wants playpass anymore? If you are going to have paint ball in the park, you better make sure that they stay at the kiosk. A short section of closed attractions...IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY....ON A SATURDAY!!!" "Wait why are there two paths?" "Like, is it like that spinny ride, where you like, go on both sides of the track?" Backing up the National Guard are these well qualified security personel. The National Guard has now replaced the Santa Clarity police as the new securityafter seeing Photo TRs on a popular website named Theme Park Review. "I'm Batman!" ... yeah, and I'm the Penguine. Just in case you didn't see the any of the other signs advertising. "Crash the Backlot" in Golden Bear Plaza Fri, Sat, and Sun. I mean, its one thing to take away all the other forms of transportation in the park, ( the metro, orient express), but its another thing to obstruct the only way of getting around. ... "For your saftey, if you are going to run, be sure to watch where you are going. You might go head first into one of our very strategically placed signs, right in the middle of the walkways to obsruct your traveling trough our park. ...it is an interesting way of trying to get people not to run... ...they are all over the midway... Speaking of signs... After being repainted 6 months ago, the upper facade of Wascal's finally gets its name back. It's worth mentioning that signs with sponsor names have infiltrated every nook and cranny of the park. Picture taken at 1:00pm on Saturday. A high traffic ODV cart closed? Makes sense. Dont take this as a personal attack.  Firstly, that's exactly what he said--the teens don't overrun the park. His argument is that it is in fact the park that has run-itself down. Not the teens which management prefer to use as a scapegoat.  Secondly, I understand that there is a "reason" why the Cups are down. But when you pay $59.99 to get into a park, it isn't the responsiblity of the guest to "understand" the reason behind the closure. As far as I'm concerned, for 60 bucks, this is a problem that "they" (the park) should have looked at when they built the ride in the first place! You can't expect the guests to be sympathetic when they are in the process of being financially raped.  And in my expirence with early Scrambler closures (also for "hot seats"), most of the time its merely supervisors searching for a lame excuse for not having to staff a ride.  -Jahan

colossus
When your staffing sucks and you must depend on foriegn workers to run the park it cant be good.Honestly i think if six flags did not have that program more then half of the rides would be closed daily. Twister II
So this guy thinks by letting Six Flags sell the park that all of its problems will be cured? Â Bull. Â Even if the park does get sold to a different company, there is no way to stop the rowdy teenagers. Most likely all or most of the staff will return and have absolutely no change. Â SFMM is a big park. There is no possible way that with SFInc. money situation that its going to be restored in months. Just wait it out a few years. Â I find it rather amusing that since Six Flags has mentioned that they MIGHT want to sell the park or since the takeover, that all I've been hearing/reading is bad bad bad about the park. But before...

coasterjunkie91350
I agree with that last post but it would require the park to close down completly for about 14 months with the amount of work that needs to be done. "painting structure refitting and electrical work redone on some of the rides and not to mention a full rewiring of the in park audio and video systems think about it when was the last time you saw the tvs work in the park'' Most of them have shown there last picture due to blown out picture tubes and short out wiring as much as id like to see shapiro give the park one last chance i dont see them keeping it at all i know you guys might think i dont know anything about that park but i do my homework i worked there for 5 yrs and with all the negitive remarks about the park i can see why they added it to the cutback list. so with that rant outta the way lets keep a positive frame of mind and maybe sfmm will rise out of the ashes and return to its former glory  sfmm died sept 7th 2006 reborn feb 1st 2008

gotdane
I went today but got the hell out after riding Tatsu and Scream! It was hot as heck. It was about 105 degrees most of the day. Retards all over the place cutting in line. Â Ride operation SUCKED on pretty much everything. Dispatch times for everything were terrible. What's new? Nothing. Jew
I'd like to think that is Newhall Land and Farming's master plan for the area that shows their plans for the area around SFMM (entrada I and II), but since the pic is blurry...I have no freakin' clue what the point of that picture was. Your right. I took the picture with a camera phone. I would of used a real camera but this is inside the school library so it would seem weird for someone to take a picture of a map. Maybe next time I will take a picture with a real camera. I wonder if SFMM will be realy surrounded like that in a few years
