Move to the city - Guns and roses Live version, I havn't heard it in ages and it just came up. It's almost jazz esque which is odd for G&R.

Thorpe's re-installation of the flying fish confuses me slightly. Fanboys were crying out for it (as were families aparently) so they brought it back but they made no attempt to put the plants back in which made the ride fun. Shame really, they could have made it a fatastic family ride with a consistent 20 minute line. In the end they got an average space filler that hardly ever has a line.

The Orlando International Airport hotel. Thankfully i was show a list of non-expedia reviews for it which were all about one or two stars. Needless to say i quickly changed, me and Paul could have been in for a rough night last week! Is there a similar topic for good places to stay? I'm looking into going to Disney land Paris at some point and i'd like to know a decent place to stay there that doesn't involve shelling out an icredible amount for a Disney hotel...

Hi, I thought i'd put my two cents in here because i was in exactly the same position as you leading up to the Spain trip. I was worried about the general age of the group and weather i'd fit in with all these people who seem to know each other so well and I assumed wouldn't have time for anyone else. Thankfully i was wrong, everyone was really nice and accepting. I didn't feel the fact that I was 17 held me back or stopped me from getting along with anyone on the trip. Like Larry said, it's more to do with your maturity than your age... I had a great time on the Spain trip despite there being very few people my age. It really was a fantastic group socially, so I wouldn't be worried in the least about the age of people on the trip But just incase you are worried, assuming I get on the Euro trip, i'll be 18 then so at least there's one person your age!

Well these are great trips, I'm hardly suproised there's been such a positive reception.

Are you doing AS's or A2's? I went on the Spain trip this year after AS's (granted i missed some college, but we really weren't doing anything at the end of the year and i had perfect attendance, so it was ok), and hopefully i'll be doing Europe next year After A2's because you don't go back to college once you've done your last exam... You should be fine, but some colleges might be a bit stricter with time off etc.

Your deposit is refundable till the 28th of Feburary, surely you'll know by then? You can sign up for the trip and then pull out if you have to

Woah, this thread's been here a day and no-ones mentioned Jeff Johnson? As for weather it's a credit or not, I don't mind. Either way it's a fun ride.

The group hasn't been sold, just the land that most of the attractions are on. Blackstone still owns all the rides etc. on the land, they're just releasing equity. No change to operations or anything.

The gate figure for thorpe today was 19 000 (capacity 22 000). So almost completely full. Although it's worth noting that the queue times given by the park are inflated, the queues are still really long. I went on saturday and only went on 2 rides before going home. It's impossible to enjoy yourself when there are that many people there.
