Hey guys! My names Dave, i'm 16 i live in the UK and surprisingly i love coasters and having fun (not too sure about donkeys/rodents but i'm sure i'll get used to them) I play drums (grade 6 to 8 depending on how i'm feeling, energy etc.) and have done for a few years, it's fun and loud so i like I'm also into pro sound and ligh, this is a bit odd but it means i collect really big systems and rent them out for fun, so i make money out of a hobby which is always good. I've joined up here to meet a few more people and hopefully go on some trips, but yeh i hope i enjoy this place

If we are taking the "theme" into consideration though, i fail to see how an aquatrax could fit in, maily because the trains/cars are shaped like boats. A multilooper would be easier to theme with more options. With the size of the thing it's quite possible that they are going for a new record, after all we could have a record breaking ride in England now could we!

When did you go to thorpe? I've been about 8-9 times this season and only last sunday did they offload the first row or 2. Its a very recent solution.

It has been stuck at about 170 degrees once and took a good few minutes to right itself. Its not as bad this year as it was but it certainly isn't right (maybe it is and i have high standards?). Rush, a screaming swing, installed at the same time has been having troubles getting both swings to swing in sync as well, so it only runs one normally. Two swings of the same length regardless of weight or distamce to travel, should take the same time to copmplete a swing. So S&S have made a ride which doesn't abide by the basic laws of physics (to me thats odd). So S&S haven't got the best reputation over here at the moment. As far as i'm aware, slammer doesn't weigh the ride as its going up, but they have an equal number of people (or as near as) on each side. Recenly they have started offloading the front row or two in order to let the ride go. So S&S has made a ride that can only run on 2/3 capacity. Screw you S&S

TTD - Durex But i think some form of multi-looper is most likely, it could be an aqua-trax but there is a significant lack of lake which might make the ride a little less "aqua". I haven't read back through this topic (at 114 pages it probably has every idea under the sun in it) but elsewhere people have been contemplating a launch of some sort. Bar the fact that Cedar Point already have a rather nice launch coaster, don't they build the winch building first (or at least the foundations). I don't see any foundations in the pictures on pointbuzz. So yeh, multilooper IMO.

Hi guys i'm more of a lurker than a poster around here but I am very interested in the Spain and Italy trip. The only thing is i'm 16 at the moment and will be 17 when the trip takes place. Elissa, you said you and Robb have to personally aprove each person who is 16 or 17, is that just to make sure i don't wet the bed and have a fit when i don't get my own way? Anyways, i'd love to be your token english guy on the trip (i'd also love to ride some casters!) Cheers Dave
