  1. By SLC+ do you mean custom? Or an extended version of a standard model? Sorry for the n00bness...
  2. Well yeah, i was more making the point that not everything screamscape says is total BS. Most of it is useless, but it could be true, and i see no reason why this couldn't be true.
  3. So what website leaked all the maverick info a few days early then?
  4. With 3 trips during the summer, i don't think theres a lot of choice really, it'll be fun even if it is crowded. The UK lot seemed to have a good time at Thorpe Park when it was nearing capacity.
  5. Not much cool about England at the mo'! Loving yetiball though! It's like one of those furby things but less annoying.
  6. I'm from London so I'm about 30 mins from thorpe park, and about the same from Chessington too but i don't really count that!
  7. Having only ridden one Dive machine (Oblivion) i can't see the appeal of floorless trains that much, but what could floorless trains take away from the ride? Nothing. So let BGT have their fun and close it for ages to fit the station floor etc. the ride experience won't be changed will it? Coaster sim fan - It is a lot easier to put new trains onto a coaster and change the station floor than to change the track. To change the track, all pathways near the area would need to be changed and the blocks might hjave to be moved too, but a roll on the edge of those trains would be cool! Oblivions trains were £180,000 each (i don't know that in dollars, sorry!) but thats because the ride was new and a lot of extra work had to go into the design, testing etc. of them. At least thats what i was lead to believe. And just to repeat what so many others have said so far - OMFG they should sooooo have trains with like 40 seats accross!!!!!11one
  8. Not that old, early 90's i think. But yeah, i only ride valhalla because it's inside! (and it's rather good).
  9. As far as i'm aware, the big dipper's turnaround is staying put. Theres no point in moving it, and reversing it would require extra efort and extra money which BPB arent willing to spend!
  10. Its at the top right of the post, to the right of "quote". I think i almost reported Elissa a few days ago cos i hit the wrong button
  11. They're taking up that turnaround of Big Dipper and a bit of the railway thats also there to allow the piling machine access to do its thing (pile, i spose!). I *think* they also have to do some re-engineering because one of the supports was on course to go right through the big dipper track, so they have to have a footer either side of the trunaround to "split" the current one over it.
  12. Sorry, i kinda put that badly :S They could put other rides in, but it requires moving other things about/removing existing attractions etc. (Traumatizer is only going in because the log flume left), and as of last week nothing else is being altered or moved, so no new flats for next season. I went up with a small group of fanboys last week and we had a park tour with the soon-to-be operations manager and the head of engineering. The raved about the "top secret" new roller coaster for next year and were brutally honest about everything we asked, but there was no mention of another flat. Hopefully some more will arive, but not for next season...
  13. There is really no space that i can think of where another flat could be put ATM. No other areas have been cleared so far so i'd say no, but who knows? I'd like to see bling replaced, it's a pile of crap!
  14. There are plans to re-fill it with water, and have a footbridge over the water to the station which will be nearer to the big one and further from big dipper. There may be a waterfall type thing but it might be cut due to cost (around £70k).
  15. I would go on the midwest trip but y'll probably be sick of me after spain
  16. I'm not that sure about the PS3, sure it'll be good, but it's going to be way too expensive for most people. And the blu ray technology stuff/thingy is no vast improvment.
  17. As long as it's got a hotel, no park is too big! So long as you can afford the hotel that is!
  18. So will the calipers (sp?) be sprung? Is there a reason why you can't use electrics, because string and pulleys might not be the most reliable of systems.
  19. "verticalzero", do you "have" some kind of "attachment" to "quotation marks" or am i "misisng" something out? No matter how quiet a woodie is, it's still too loud for the Ropers! In the court order they originally restricted AT to making no more noise than "a quiet country bedroom" during normal operation. They cannot be reasoned with.
  20. I'm surprised no-ones made a stab at the french during all of this! I'm a little shocked that no-one seemed at all concerned in the video. There must have been at least 10 peoploe there and i can't imagine it was the first time it's happened if thats how they all reacted.
  21. From their past coasters, tussauds seem to follow the pattern of submitting planning permission in september (ish), then building a year later and then opening at the start of the season (forgive the patronising tone, but elsewhere coasters seem to be "announced" and stuffs, unlike tussauds). So if we're getting a woodie, we should see planning apps pretty damn soon!
  22. Yeah, i believe Bald0r is on the plans I honestly can't see it going through, not so long as the ropers live anywhere near the place.
  23. Nice TR! About the whole "2 adults to a car" thing, the rules changed recently as far as i'm aware because at Chessington, the rattlesnake and dragons fury have had the 2 adults per car thing...
