  1. I've mentioned it It isn't the 'Dumbo' atraction, but an other thing. I don't know the name, but an other disney park has one with the Bugs theme. Since it's french, I'm guessing Babar the Elephant? -james dillaman
  2. ^ If you want I could come and punch you in the chest repeatedly while shaking you violently, stop for 2 seconds, and resume. That's pretty close to experiencing SoB with the loop. -james dillaman
  3. ^ Just as long as I don't have to capitalize my name, because it's much more visually pleasing with all lower-case. -james dillaman
  4. Awesome as always. Keep building these and you're single-handedly keeping my coaster obsession alive. My future neglected kids will have something to say to you someday ("Daddy says we can't eat anything but cereal because we have to save up so he can go to europe to ride the GCII that he hasn't riden yet.") I'm hoping to hit up Valleyfair this summer, finally getting up there because of this coaster! -James Dillaman
  5. ^ King's Island. A combination of Coney Island, which was the old park, and Kings Mills, where the new park was located in '72, hence Kings Island. Our coney island now is a completely new park operated by someone different than the origional Cincy Coney Island. -James Dillaman
  6. Credit whoring is alright, but don't expect any surprisingly good rides at this park. It is what it is, nothing special. It is sad that he died, though. He DID do a lot of good things for Cincinnati. A real charitible man. -James Dillaman
  7. Can I download this somewhere? Streaming with .wmv never works well. Have it for quicktime maybe? I just hate bufferring, and windows does that way too much, even when I try and view it on my pc. Is it on youtube or something where it can stream better? -James "hard to watch in 2 second blurbs" Dillaman
  8. ^ That's why I always wait a year or two after a new system comes out. The price usually drops, too. -James "just bought my DS Lite last fall, and am very happy" Dillaman
  9. I'm guessing you had a good day at Knotts, Joe? How has your trip been so far, and when are you coming back here? We need to do lunch so I can have a full report of the parks I haven't gotten to in California. -James Dillaman
  10. The pass Joe has is the same one Julia and I have, it's been "processed" AKA our pictures were taken, but we need to exchange them for the plastic card version this spring when PKI opens. We have these little cardboard things that say Temporary Maxx Pass on them. Your pass voucher is something different. -James Dillaman
  11. ^ Saesonal employees aren't entitled by law to overtime for over 40 hours, only if they work more than 80. -James "It's still the norm at least in Ohio" Dillaman
  12. Miss SFGAdv has to be by far my favorite bit character, yet!!! And Guy telling spookbaby she's a whore... that's just funny. You have once again brightened my day by beginning it with laughter, flipdude. Thank you. -James Dillaman
  13. ^ That made me laugh so hard. Thank you. B.S. Express. You are a hero and a gentleman, sir. -James Dillaman
  14. ^ The plywood represents the clearance needed for hands and other body parts that people could stick out of the train. I've seen the same technique used for pull throughs on other coasters. -James Dillaman
  15. ^ They took it down. -James "glad I could help" Dillaman
  16. ^ Yeah, if you've ever had to push one (at least the three-bench PTC's), you'd know they are VERY heavy. Wrangled the Beast's trains for a couple seasons. Still have pennies and quarters smashed by the trains, so there's a lot of weight going on there. I can't speak for the two-bench ptc's, which I think would be better than evil three-benchers with their wheelseats of doom. -James Dillaman
  17. Okay, let's see how many I can remember: Paramount's Kings Island Paramount's King's Dominion LeSourdsville Lake / Americana (defunct) Wonderpark Coney Island (Cincinnati) Geauga Lake / Six Flags World of Adventure Cedar Point Michigan Adventure Astroland Deno's Wonderwheel Park Indiana Beach Holiday World Six Flags Magic Mountain Disneyland Disney'sEpcot Disney's Magic Kingdom Disney's MGM Studios Disney's Animal Kingdom Blizzard Beach The Beach Waterpark (Cincinnati, OH) Dollywood Ober Gatlinburg The Track Six Flags Great America La Ronde Adventuredome New York New York Casino Stratosphere Six Flags Fiesta Texas Six Flags Astroworld (defunct) -That's all I can think of right now... -James Dillaman
  18. ^ Not that he would feel much anyway... it's not like the costume doesn't have hands.
  19. ^ Actually it was 2 nights before... That was a great time, too. It's nice to relive it. I can't believe how much FUN I had at SFMM!! The day before the official open it was open for an ACE event if I remember correctly. -James Dillaman
  20. ^ This just in, Tino is a sexy beast!!! -James "Who wouldn't go gay for Tino?!?" Dillaman
  21. From Hunt's website: Q - Can roller coaster models be safely shipped? A - Yes. I ship models to just about all of my clients. Models have been safely shipped as far away as Europe. For more information about shipping models, please refer to the "Order a Model" link above. -James Dillaman
  22. Just my two cents on the baptism thing. This is for the christians. If you read the ENTIRE Bible, concentrating on the New Testament (because your CHRIST-ian!), Jesus was the last person that was baptised with water. I believe John the Baptist was saying "And the time will come when someone greater than me will come, and where I baptise with water, He will baptise with the power of the holy spirit." So technically, (and again this comes from someone who's studied the bible extensively, and gone back to the ancient hebrew and greek, not to mention living with someone who has a Masters of Divinity degree from a Seminary) being baptised is accepting Jesus as your savior. It's the "new baptism" as the Bible refers to it. The water is just a ceremony, like communion, which the older more jewish traditional churches (especially including the Roman Catholics) seem to stress more. -James Dillaman
  23. Good Job. Need to get an ACE hoodie to transport you to different buffets when you get hungry after riding all those coasters, though. -James Dillaman
  24. The whole place was a lot more run down than the last time I was there. The DDR machine had problems with one arrow, some of the arcade items didn't even work, and many times we had to go up to complain about machines taking our tokens and not working. I wonder if this place is still making money. -James Dillaman
  25. Boa Squeeze was pretty good, but that Bowling Game owned all others, and the weird shoot the diet coke can game was a lot of fun, too. Too bad Julia couldn't make it, Joe, she missed out. I had fun with you and Liz, though. -James "Would like to mention he WON the bowling game AHEM " Dillaman
