^there's supposed to be an animation on Cincinnati.com, but it doesn't appear to be working. If the thumbnail for it is correct, though, the rails will be white. -james dillaman from www.cincinnati.com (WCPO's website) -

^ What paramount would do and what Cedar Fair will do are different, and I don't think you should bash someone because they aren't as excited as you are about a used coaster. We're all happy with the certified pre-owned ford focus. But don't bash Joe and I for looking at the new Lexus and feeling a little envious. -james dillaman -

New coaster webcomic
jamesdillaman replied to Edwardo's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ My mother didn't get the comics... wait, I completely missed the point, didn't I? seriously, just because i say I don't like them doesn't mean go cry and bitch or anything like that. Some of my best friends are artists, and that's how they make their living (graphic designers, actually, they don't like being called "artists" ), and even they don't hit it out of the park everytime. Especially with something new your trying, it'll take time to find the right mix of writing and drawing that works for you. If you don't want criticism, like Dave said, don't post them on the internet. If you can have a thicker skin, though, I encourage you to post more. if I see one I like, I'll tell you, and you can look at that one compared to the others and see what's different. An artists work needs to always be evolving (myself, I'm a musician, but I consider it a type of art, also...), and sometimes things don't work for everyone. There were some positive reviews, so take that for what it's worth. Just don't be offended when not everybody likes your work and for goodness sake don't use it as an excuse to stop trying... -james "unless of course you really have no talent at all, then just stop." dillaman (I'm kidding... halfway ) -

I believe that 'hate' is a very strong word, and should only be used sparingly and when you are absolutely sure it is necessary. That being said, I HATE G-trains, and they should all die a horrible death.. ...twice. -james dillaman -

^ And are they all season pass holders? Are they buying season passes this year based solely on this ride being built? I agree with ginzo, but I'm still happy we got anything at all, as I wasn't planning on any coasters for this year. I admit it, right here and now, so all you fanboys can get a warm fuzzy feeling: I'm glad there's a coaster being installed at KI instead of one being taken out and not replaced by anything in the short term (see Geauga Lake). I know there's a plan for that park, and i understand all the attendence figures yada yada yada and how six flags didn't have a clue when they tried to turn GL into a park competing with Cedar Point (Hellooooooo!! Lake Erie and Cedar Point > Geauga Lake and SFWofA!). Even understanding all that, I'm still glad we're at the receiving end. Hopefully we'll see an exciting NEW attraction at KI in the near future. That's my only hope. My only concern is that new coaster will be pushed back, because the GP thinks this IS a new coaster. That is why I'm dissapointed. Clear it up for you fanboys? Can any of you comprehend that logic? -james dillaman -

^That's like saying Top Thrill Dragster is themed. I know it is "technically" but I think of themed rides as rides such as anything disney, Italian Job, Exterminator at Kennywood, etc. I just don't think everybody likes that ride because the queue is so well themed. I think it has much more to do with the ride itself. -

Theming is good if you have a sub-par ride and you don't want everyone to notice how mediocre it is. Slap some theming around it, and voila, instant gratification of most enthusiasts and guests who eat that sort of thing up. If you have a good ride (Expedition GeForce and Goliath at SFOG for example), it can stand alone as a good ride witout any theming. I like themed rides, don't get me wrong, but I appreciate coasters "themed" to a rollercoaster. -james dillaman -

^They actually worked with six flags during the design process, all along knowing they would buy paramount parks and then relocate the coaster. They had this planned as far back as 1998, Joe. Who's in Favor of School Dress Codes?
jamesdillaman replied to Shavethewhales's topic in Random, Random, Random
In all truthfulness, Girl's uniforms just make them sexier than what they normally wear. (half their a$$es hanging out and midriffs showing) That being said, I'm for them, but only at all boys or all girls schools. Don't ask me why, as i don't want to go into it. I went to a school that had basic guidelines, and we were fine. This is public school mind you. I don't believe in mandatory uniforms in public institutions of learning, but whatever, it isn't really a bid deal in my opinion.
