  1. Meet the Robinsons
  2. The new front piece is quite ugly compared to the original, but I'll always take an amazing operational coaster with an ugly train over a great looking train that doesn't run
  3. I'm really digging the lift hill for this ride. (I know it's not an individual support but I felt like reviving this thread )
  4. Verbolten & Mystery Mine > Millennium Force? May I ask why you made that decision? Just curious, especially as it ranked well in your old list.
  5. Wintergatan Marble Machine. IMO this is one of the coolest videos on YouTube!
  6. Perhaps the $150mil includes other changes down the line. Or maybe the demolition, excavation, utility reworking, construction, and other things I can't think of on the spot are more serious than one would think.
  7. Wait there're good haunts at SFA? I was under the impression that being a low tier SF park the fright fest haunts were all supposed to be crap. Is Eleanor worth paying for?
  8. Wild One - SFA
  9. Probably with revenue generated by the people who pay to go to the park and use its services. It's not that complicated...
  10. ^Capitol Bullet Train?
  11. Granted, all minor breakdowns will be replaced with major breakdowns that are actually dangerous I wish I lived at Knoebles.
  12. S&S has considerable experience working in Japan and has also worked directly with Nagashima Spa Land for Arashi if not more. Sansei if I remember correctly is based in Japan, and I'm pretty sure S&S and Sansei have merged to some extent, although I'm not 100% sure exactly how. Also, S&S has worked with RMC to make the track for its freespins. Based on these facts (or at least what I believe are facts, I could be wrong on some details) I personally think that S&S and Sansei are involved in the construction because they have knowledge on what one would need to do to build something in Japan (such as building codes, legal documentation, etc.) and because RMC is already familiar with S&S (especially considering that Alan Shilke has worked with both companies). Of course, I could be completely off, but it's an idea.
  13. While I haven't ridden Firehawk, I've ridden Batwing and actually really enjoyed it, so I hope that it gets relocated and not scrapped. That being said, I can't wait to see what replaces its space!
  14. Haha no. Bottled water probably makes up less than a third of the water I drink - And most of my "bottled" water is just tap water I put in a bottle. If your favorite coaster cost $20 per ride, would it be worth it in your opinion?
  15. That looks awesome! I’m loving that funky outward overbank wtf thing on the left in the first turnaround! It would have been nice if they included some of the former helices, but I’m sure there’s a perfectly good reason, and I think the layout is awesome as is. Can’t wait for more previews of this layout!
  16. I just realized that this year I've been to 6 parks this year: SFGA (both), SFA, Knoebles, Hershey, and a tiny amusement park/large FEC called Adventure Park USA, all of which had new for 2018 attractions, but the only park where I did it was Adventure Park USA, where I rode the new skycoaster It was actually my first skycoaster, and was a lot of fun!
  17. Nice report, shame you didn't manage more rides on T-Express but glad you enjoyed yourself. Also: Are you referring to the Vekoma Madhouse Houdini's Great Espace? Because that's still there - I rode it a couple weeks ago. Very trippy.
  18. I'm not too well traveled but I'll share my list (note if the drop is taller than the height I count the drop): 1). Kingda Ka (456ft/139m) 2). Top Thrill Dragster (420ft/128m) 3). Millenium Force (310ft/94.5m) 4). Nitro (230ft/70m) 5). Wicked Twister (215ft/65.5m) 6). Raging Bull (208ft/63.5m) 7). Superman: Ride of Steel (SFA)(205ft/62.5m) 8). Skyrush (200ft/61m) 9). Goliath (SFNE)(192ft/58.5m) 10). El Toro (181ft/55m) 11). Goliath (SFGAm)(180ft/55m)
  19. It's like some 9-year-old sibling took his account and sabotaged it This is gold.
  20. I've been to this park on memorial day and extremely crowded bring a friend free days that forced us to park deep into the third lot, yet I've rarely had to wait more than 20-ish min for anything even at peak lines (expect 1-train Batwing and full queue Ragin Cajun - those were ~45min waits) However I have not been during peak fright fest days where the water park wasn't open, which could be bad for crowds, since in previous visits Hurricane Harbor soaked up most of the crowds.
  21. I’ll have to disagree, but I can see where you’re coming from.

  23. ^I’m pretty sure all this skyline deal stuff is 100% ungrounded speculation based on how Harley Quinn @SFDK opened later than initially announced. Also the El diablo stuff as far as I understand is based on a single Screamscape post, which as we know has questionable reliability/accuracy, especially in this case as the guy who wrote that post is quite unsure themselves.
  24. So I was digging around on the internet when I came across this: After searching on TPR I found that this video had only ever been posted once before in 2007 on it's own thread which didn't make it past the first page, so I though I'd share it here, because I love the fact that Phoenix has it's own wonderfully 80's* theme song! Not only is it very 80's* and very Knoebles, it's also quite catchy (I even added it to my music playlist). It's also cool to get a look at the park from decades ago. *Okay I'm not actually sure when the song was written, and I'm not 100% sure which decade it's from, I'm just guessing 80's based on the fact that it sounds super 80's imo
