  1. We're the forgotten smilies of TPR. We come to demand more attention else we'll destroy your precious forum!
  2. I'm proud to say this is standard in Chicago and there are actually signs to promote the practice. This is also normal on the DC metro. Apparently people get pissed if you stand on the wrong side, but I haven't experienced that myself since I don't live close enough to the DC subway system.
  3. What I would be concerned about is if it needs to be registered at SFA, since new passes must be registered at your home park, and IDK enough about your membership situation and SF’s policies to say if you can use it at SFMM yet
  4. Idk, I'd ask the park. Idk about SFMM, but to my experience SFA has usually been pretty good at answering my questions within a day or two of me asking it.
  5. Another very nice video, and I'm loving that thumbnail!
  6. ^Oh lol, I was literally just about the repost those questions here Thanks for the answers. Do you think for the future there could be a way to see how many riders each coaster had? Particularly those with the *? Also to repost a bug first brought up by Garet: Several pages on the 2017 combined and steel lists return error 500 messages. Is this a known error?
  7. ^Probably right, I'll reask my questions there
  8. Personally, I honestly don't care where it is as long as it's in the park.
  9. Quick question: Is there a way to search a coaster's position in the final results from last year? For example, if I wanted to find Joker's Jinx's position (random example, I don't actually care about JJ's position) on the list, how would I do that without having to manually go through each page and seeing if its name is there? Also unrelated: How many riders were needed for a coaster to be given an unofficial predicted ranking?
  10. Not sure about permanent parks, but I know there's at least one (and probably more) traveling. I rode on at the MD state fair just this past summer.
  11. ^ I think he means in addition to the already quality collection of woodies you guys have. I agree that none of your woodies need RMC.
  12. This park has a pretty nice collection of woodies, how about we talk about that?
  13. I don't think anyone does, don't worry
  14. I think it's mostly people b*tching that it doesn't look as good as SV, or that its layout isn't good as their predictions were, but that rings true for pretty much any new coaster.
  15. ^I thought pornography isn't allowed on TPR Those pictures are great!
  16. Ok this one is 4 years old but I read it for the first time this week, and I loved it:
  17. Yay! Downdraft isn't dead
  18. Quick question - if we mark down that we have ridden certain coasters, but we don't rank them, is that any different than not marking them down at all? Edit: Also, is there a way to completely clear last year's rankings? I want to redo pretty much my whole list Edit2: If we're counting Runaway Mountain at SFOT and Cliffhanger at Glenwood caverns, we should count Wild West Express at Adventure Park USA, since its a clone of the other two. Side note: anyone else find it wierd that Premier, S&MC, and Zamperla have all built clones of the exact same coaster?
  19. And I thought that biometrics thing at SFGAm was pretty stupid...
  20. I think Williams Grove's Cyclone might fit the bill, if you can figure out how to recreate it. It's a small, thrilling but family friendly classic PTC woodie with a short train that looks like it would have provided a fun ride had it been maintained well. Not sure what sort of space you have or how expensive this would be to make, but this seems to be somewhat along the lines of what you're looking for. EDIT: Apparently as a cost saving trick, most of the return leg was built directly underneath the outward leg, which eliminated the need to build a whole new section of support, keeping the building price low. Quite interesting, and also another point toward this coming to Little Amerricka
  21. The official plan is to relocate Elitch Gardens. While I have no idea whether or not this will happen, I do know that Denver actually already has another amusement park just 3 miles from Elitch, according to RCDB, which has a cool looking wild mouse, and a cool-looking vintage woodie
  22. ^ And they said it couldn't be done... That's awesome, I'd love to ride a coaster actually covered in snow.
