Hey Fatties! LISTEN UP!!!
JG-77 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^Tip for SFA’s Superman since you mentioned it: The front row of each car has these black things in front of you that make it hard for some people’s legs to fit. If for whatever reason you have trouble getting into the seats with those things, then take the back row of the car, which doesn’t have them. Wish I had a picture to show what I’m talking about. My dad (~6ft, >300lb) couldn’t fit the seats with the black things but had zero problem in the ones without them. Idk if other Intamin rides have those as I’m not too well traveled. -
Nope. Here's a hint: Think small.

Where did you find that image? -
Nope! One more wrong guess and I’ll give another hint. I’ll admit I tried to make it tough.

Oh cool, didn't know that. Next: -Regarded by many to be the most intense of its kind -Interacts with another ride -Replaced an older coaster that served the same purpose in the park's lineup.

Mega Zeph? Not sure how it fits the first hint but it works for the others. 200th post!

Ehh, Apocalypse isn't that bad. Quite over-hated IMO Ride with a good strategy, set your expectations appropriately, expect some headbanging, and it can actually be fun. It's nothing special, and probably is the worst B&M (at least the worst non-family-coaster B&M, though I haven't ridden those so who knows), but it's somewhat decent, and it's B&M's first coaster (if that interests you).

I believe you are confusing this for the "Guess the coaster" thread. This one's pretty much the opposite (see the first page for the rules). You probably got confused b/c fraroc forgot to pick a new coaster. -
Coffee! SFA Apocalypse converted to floorless or replaced entirely?

I wish I knew how to properly snap flyers. Between my two rides I only snapped a couple times, and at no point did I feel like I would die. That being said they’re still awesome, and I’m sure one day I’ll figure it out and get the extreme ride with wild snapping everybody promises! -

I do hope they don’t just completely scrap the ride for good, simply as it’s B&M’s first coaster (not that anyone besides coaster enthusiasts would care about that at all), though if the do scrap it that won’t be the end of the world. -

I actually never had problems with the restraints. As long as you put some distance between your bottom and the bicycle seat and actually stand up during the ride, your children should be fine -

RMC Apacolypse confirmed So of course now we have the question of is it getting removed for good or just floorless-ified. I have somewhat mixed feelings on this. On one hand, the ride was never that good and not worth waiting for unless it was a walk-on (though I unlike some never actually disliked this ride). On the other hand, it has the best theming in the park (sadly) and I have a great appreciation for it as B&M’s first coaster. Obviously Six Flags couldn’t care less about those things. As far as what will happen to it I’m leaning toward the floorless option since it’s probably much cheaper than a complete new attraction. The optimist in me wants a raptor in that spot, but that’s not going to happen (I wouldn’t complain though). If they go floorless, it’ll be interesting to see how they retheme it (or if they try to at all). I hope I can make it to the park for one last ride!) -

Glad you enjoyed your trip! I agree that SFA (and Apocalypse) get more hate than they deserve, though SFA’s reputation is steadily improving. A few tips for the rides if you return to the park: -Make sure to try Superman in the very front. It gives an experience noticeably better than the other front rows (at least IMO). -Batwing is most intense in the back row, though also the least smooth from my experiences. -Wild One in 2nd to back seems to give the best ride (though I haven’t tried front row). -Try JJ both in the front and th back. I don’t particularly prefer either one, they’re just different (but both quite good). Anyway, glad you enjoyed your trip, and overall good TR -

Just got back from a fantastic trip to Knoebels! 1.5 days and there were still some things I didn’t get to do. Phoenix is awesome, especially in the front! (Might have to change my signature...) Kosmo’s Curves lived up to the hype too. Didn’t get to much food there but what I had was good (don’t worry Bill I got the pierogis ) One of the coolest things we saw at the park was that they employed a deaf ticket collector at the entrance of Twister. I think that’s awesome that they’re that accommodating with their employees! Overall, I found Knoebels to be an awesome park, and I cannot wait to return! -
Planning a Hershey, Knoebels, Dorney trip

Also, this isn’t related to trip planning necessarily, but I strongly suggest riding Phoenix in the very front, especially for your first ride. -

Which train? EDIT: Also, do I recall reading about some store you can go to to get discounts on wristbands? Where can we get those? EDIT2: I found out that the Friday we might be visiting Knoebles is a bargain night (oh yeah my family is going to get to visit Knoebles for the 1st time ). How are crowds during Bargain nights? -

^Thanks! Interesting that they included Marvel characters, I wonder what they're trying to achieve with that since SF has never mad a marvel-character themed ride (to my knowledge). Plus, I'd assume that obtaining the rights to use a Marvel character would be pretty expensive. -
Best Roller Coaster you rode THIS MONTH!
JG-77 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I haven't rode any coasters in August yet, but in July I got to ride Goliath, my 1st RMC, which was definately the best coaster I rode that month! -

Can anyone link me to this ride name survey? I haven’t gotten any surveys despite telling SF to send me all their notices they have.
