  1. I have leg lights from A Christmas Story also. I have a couple of strands of them that I put all over my house at Christmas. Everybody loves them and so do I. Your tree looks great, reminds me of my tree with all the different ornaments.
  2. It makes me feel great that there is still good in this world. Bravo to you and your community for doing such a wonderful thing each. This is what Christmas is all about, giving to our fellow man. Great report you made my day.
  3. Wow that is sad about Jack Rabbit but also good news for Clementon Park. I used to go there all the time when I was a kid and then my local union that I am in (Local 623, I work for UPS) always has their Labor Day picnic there for its members and family. You pay one price, have the picnic area off of the park under the pavillions where you would eat and drink all you want(Beer included)and ride all the rides in the amusement park and Splash World ,their water park.I used to go to that but the crowds started getting a little rough so we stopped going. Maybe the new owners will improve things and make it a nice little park for people to be able to visit again. I don't live too far from Clementon so maybe I'll ride over a couple of times a month to see what progress is being made. Thanks for the post, keep us updated.
  4. Wow, what jip! Still I would like to visit Disney at Christmas one year, maybe I'll get around to it.
  5. Enjoy this time with her now because they grow up so fast. I have had the pleasure of watching my 2 nephews and 2 nieces grow up and when I see their baby pics I get all emotional. Now I have another nephew who is 3 so I can enjoy all the fun baby antics with him now. Kids are fun. That is great that she was cool with Santa. Most babies her age woould cry like you said and have witnessed. My nephew who is 3 sat on Santa's lap the other day and he loved him! Threw his little arms around Santa's neck and gave him a big hug and kiss. It was so sweet that I got tears in my eyes. I know in about 10 years he will be a smart-a@# teenager who won't want to be bothered with me. Are you going to have anymore kids?
  6. ^Great pic! Awesome thread! I love me some hots dogs and the bigger the better. I saw a hot dog that big before at great adventure I didn't get it though because it didn't look as though it were fully cooked and the color of it was akin to human skin so I passed on it, but give me any kind of meat even meat on a stick except corn dogs I don't like the coating and I'll eat it. Hell I'll eat just about anything, I'm a slob and I love it!
  7. Nice pics! Jasmine's eye makeup makes her eyes look like little fish. I hate those scream mufflers on maliboomer. They made me hot when I rode last summer.
  8. I had off today(took a personal day) and I have off Thursday and Friday(Paid holidays for us UPSers! ) I just finished preparing dinner for turkey day for 35 people this year. I think that is how many people are coming this year each day the list gets bigger and bigger. Don't worry though, I have help from everyone in the family. I do the turkey, stuffing, corn and gravy and then everyone else in my family brings something like someone makes a ham, the mashed potatoes, a piece of pork, chicken, dessert, soda, etc etc, etc., so it is not a huge deal. I have a big family and we all live close by to one another so it is easy for us. If anyone needs a place to eat on Thanksgiving just let me know and you are more than welcome to come to my house. Happy Holidays to everyone at TPR!
  9. ^Nope, never had one. Is it good?
  10. ^^ What's you cats name exit english? It is adorable. I love cats. My boy bobafett(hence my screen-name) is sitting here on me purring as I wander about this website.
  11. Beautiful photos everyone! I love how people find beauty in everything. Makes me feel good to be alive to enjoy such things in life!
  12. ^^Beautiful photos Bucket especially the fourth one you posted,I want to live in one of those beautifully colored homes. ^PKI ManJZ, I love that first shot, now I'm singing the theme song to WKRP in Cincinnati.
  13. Around here in Philadelphia I started noticing the Christmas displays going up around late August early September which is WAY TOO EARLY for me. I hate it that they shove Christmas down my throat. I myself love Halloween, I love it so much that my wedding reception was Halloween themed(October 29). I wanted to get married on Halloween but the year I got married it fell on a weekday so we had it as close to Halloween as we could get. And I still have my Halloween decorations up and it is now Thanksgiving. I do this every year just to be spiteful when all my neighbors are putting up their Christmas decorations. I think it is too commercialized. Some people can't afford to have a nice holiday and that makes me sad so I donate food and toys every year to local charities. We have no children because we chose not to have them but if we can make difference to a family or two so that they can enjoy the holidays then that makes me feel good and isn't that what the holidays are all about? And besides I'm an adult so I don't need anything. Well if Santa could give me lower gas prices I wouldn't mind that as a Christmas present.
  14. I am truly blessed that a lot of the products that are sold on this website are still available in stores where I live(Philadelphia,PA). In fact a restaurant near here still has RC cola on tap to drink. Now if they could only bring back the original formula of Frank's Black Cherry Wishniak soda I could die a happy camper!
  15. Great report and pics. I love US and IOA, I was just there a little less than a month ago and I miss it terribly. Oh well I'll be there next summer in July for vacation.
  16. Cool Report! Your god son is cute! Rock Bottom is one of my favorite SpongeBob episodes. That deer looked as though it was saying" GET ME OUTTA HERE!"
  17. I am not perfect I have flaws just like everyone else does!
  18. Well BeemerBoy and exit english the two of you weren't there when it happened and it happened to me so YES IT IS A TRUE STORY. Like I said she was overweight herself, my sister quickly corrected and put me in my place(she slapped me in the back of my head) for acting like a mad woman for trying to go after her for no reason whatsoever. I'm sure you have all experienced something like that in your lives where a certain situation warrants a negative reaction from your unconscious mind and you act upon it and you know you all have. It happens to all of us at some point in our lives, so get over it boys and get on with your lives! I know I have. Sheesh, the way this forum is going you would think everyone on this website was perfect.
  19. We went to DisneyLand last year and we were going on IASW. It was 4 females, my sister, my cousin, my friend and I. Now 3 of us have a little weight to us but we are not obese or so fat that we can't walk around theme parks all day. We know we could stand to lose a few pounds but who are we kidding we love to eat and we know it so it will never happen. Anyway we were all going to sit in the front of the boat when the ride operator said that we all had to sit by ourselves. And I said why and she said that so the weight was distributed evenly and the boat would float. Well I took one look at her and said "Are you saying that we are fat?" She was said "Well...." Then I said "Well if we are fat then you must be the queen of colussus because there isn't anything small about you. You are bigger than all 4 of us put together."I then proceeded to get out of the boat and go after her (that is when the amazon woman in me started to come out) but sister grabbed me by the shirt and hollered at me to act like a civilized person and told me to sit back down, which I did. And she was! She looked as though she would stand at her operating post and eat turkey legs and mickey icecream bars all day long. Now I normally don't talk about people but to sit there and call me fat when you are fatter than I am, well let's just say I won't stand for it. She had no right to do that when she was a fattie herself. Funny but true story.
  20. I went last Saturday the 27th and had a great time. The only house we didn't do was Psycho-Scareapy. All the others houses were great with the exception of Vampyr which was lame, with The Thing being my favorite. I have one question to ask everybody that went, do you think that they were selling too much alcohol? I mean I'm not a prude and I do like to get my drink on every now and then, but it seemed a little excessive to me. It seemed to me as though they had a drink stand every 6 inches and even while waiting in line for the attractions they had drink stands set up every 6 inches. Did they really need to sell that much alcohol? Also weren't they having problems this year and need to bring in extra security or was that a rumor I heard? Am I getting too old or did anyone else think the same thing as I did about the selling of alcohol? I would like to hear everyone's thoughts about this subject. Thanks!
  21. Revenge Of The Mummy on Monday October 29,2007 at USF about 100x in a row(well not that many but it sure seemed like it) thanks in part to express pass.We stayed at Portofino Bay. Best hotel ever!
  22. ^Hey piers did you go Saturday night also? We went in 2005 and again this year. We had a great time. We didn't drink at all, way too overpriced like you said. We had drinks back at the bar at our hotel(the Portofino Bay) and it was much nicer and more relaxing.
  23. Great pics! My husband and I just got back from Universal Studios and HHN17. We went on the 27th(this past Saturday), we had express passes and the wait for express that night wasn't bad at all. The only houses we waited for was Vampyr and Friday the 13th which was about 10 minutes each with the express. Everything else we breezed thru. The regular waits were over 90 minutes. Thank god for express pass. I too was a little disappointed with the lack of scare zones but overall it was a great time. And another thing, is it me or did it seem that the selling of alcoholic beverages was a little out of control this year? I mean don't get me wrong I'm not prude or anything and I like to get my drink on every now and then but to have a drink stand every foot and a half even while waiting in the lines seemed a little excessive to me. And then they wonder why they needed more security because more fights are breaking out this year. I just think it was a little overkill this year. Anybody else think this or am I a old fuddy duddy? Please let me know.
  24. Well it is Thursday night October 25,2007, and I'm all packed and ready for my trip to Florida and HHN17. We are staying at the Portofino Bay and we are going to HHN on Saturday the 27th. I just want to thank everyone who posted their trip reports, I appreciate all of your insight into this event. If anyone wants to hang out with us on Saturday, I'll have on my Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends t-shirt with a picture of Bloo on it and it says "I heart Bloo!" It is a bright orange shirt so you can't miss me. Hope to see some of you there!
  25. Hey Jarvis, did you get your phone back yet? Also I'm staying at the Portofino Bay this time around, I've already stayed at Hard Rock and Royal Pacific,so far Royal Pacific is tops for me, I'll let you know how I liked the Portofino Bay. I'm a little disappointed that there isn't alot to take photos of this year, oh well. And by the way, you look good to me Jarvis , just don't tell my husband I said that !
