It was rumored that the Morey's organization wanted to be the pier from the Nichols family some time ago but I don't think that the deal went thru. Next time I go down I'll try and get more info for you. I have a home 5 minutes outside of North WildWood in Cape May Courthouse in Middleton Township,NJ.

Hey PaulArthur, the water park has been there for about 10 years now. Right now there is just a trampoline ride and something else, nothing elaborate.Go on youtube and look up the fire. NBC10 news has posted something about the fire from their archives on youtube about it. So sad that it burned to the ground. I used to love going in there as a kid. And the boat ride was awesome. WildWood has changed alot since the early 1990's. Most of the hotels and motels that used to be there are gone and condos have been put up in their place. It doesn't look the same as it used to. The boardwalk is still the same only cleaner now and so is the city of WildWood itself.

Glad you enjoyed WildWood. If I wasn't out of town this past weekend I could have been your tour guide and told you some good places to eat. I have a home 5 minutes outside of the island. We have been hearing rumors about the GN for some time now as to whether it is feasible for the Morey's organization to reopen it. It would be nice to see it reopen, it used to be my favorite ride when I was growing up and spent summers down in WildWood.

You really out did yourself with this tr of Europe Big Mike! It really was a great thread and will continue to be for the remainder of the year. Well I just got home from work at Big Brown and today I head down to Orlando today for some fun in the sun at Disney and Universal. I still am looking forward to Clementon and Morey's Piers so don't go till I get back from Florida. I come home Monday, so let me know when you want to go and I'm there. These are some of the most beautiful pics I have seen on this web site in a long time. You truly are talented my friend. Keep up the great work and I'm glad you enjoyed HersheyPark. It really is a nice little park. I go every year in October when my company holds it picnic there and it is closed to the public, so that makes it even better.

I am so jealous of all of you. I have to go on a trip with TPR next year.

Great report and pics. My sister went to Russia on a school trip in her senior year of high school in 1988 when it was still a communist country. She said it was a great experience. She brought me back a Russian flag and some pins that the soldiers used to wear. She traded some stuff on the black market over there that she brought over with her like cigarettes, Levis jeans, cd's, a walkman, some clothes and other items. If she would have got caught with that stuff in her suitcase on the way home, I hate to think what would have happened to her. I still have the stuff too. I would love to visit Russia.

Big Mike, is Wicked Twister the same as Voodoo at Dorney? I know Voodoo has only one twisty side, does Wicked Twister have two or one? This is a general question,so anyone can answer for me. That sandwich does sound good ! I could definitely go for one right about now. Talk about a heart attack on a roll. That is my kind of sandwich, and as long as I have tall glass of Tropicana OJ to go with it, I'll be heaven. Sorry to get off the subject of coasters for a bit.

I like the Big Mike Back Then updates. If you can, post some more pics of you back in the day. I like to see what people looked like in earlier decades. Sadly our own Big Brown lost at the Belmont Stakes on Saturday. He came in last place. Oh well, can't win them all. Lovin all the pics and reports. Can't wait for Morey' and Clementon. Olsor, you should have let me know when you were coming to Philly, I could have saved you the trouble of having to eat that awful rendition of a cheesesteak. I could have given you the names of a million other places to get a cheesesteak that are 100 times better than the tourist trap you went to. Even the the people that are born and raised in Philly know not to go to Pat's or Geno's(where you went) unless you have been out drinking all night and are really hungry. Let me know the next time you are in Philly and I will take you and your wife to get a Real cheesesteak. Anyway sorry about that rant, your report and pics were great. I really have to get up to Knoebel's, it looks like a great park.

Great pics and report. I went on the tram tour back in 2000 and I enjoyed it very much. It was nice to get a break from walking around all day and sit down and take in the sites. I got my picture taken with Professor Klump of The Nutty Professor when I was out there. Not as big as USF, but still a nice park.Poor Kong , may he rest in peace.

Big Mike and I were thinking of heading up there later in the season since I haven't been there since Nitro opened. I had a really bad experience there the last time I went and haven't been back since,it sounds as though things have improved. He said I need to get up there and get on all the new attractions.Maybe we can all meet up and hang out together. Your friend Tanya looks exactly like my friend Amy. I had to do a double take, they really could be twins, they say everybody has one.As for Dippin Dots, I'll pass, I prefer hand dipped or soft serve ice cream although I bet the graham cracker bits were good.

I was wondering, being in that position on a coaster, does the restraint hurt your back in any way? I can't imagine it being comfortable. Still looks like a cool ride. As always I am enjoying the updates.

Hope you have a great time this weekend Big Mike. I will be looking forward to the update when you post it. I hope you get all the credits you need. I will be heading down the shore for a little R&R. Although it will be a bit too chilly to go in the water I will still hit the beach and relax, maybe fly a kite, let my nephews dig in the sand, walk along the waters edge, enjoy the sights and smells of the Jersey Shore in North WildWood. Then on Monday, my husband and I are going to see Indiana Jones. Thank goodness that we have off on Monday from UPS, I need a break from that place. They are driving me crazy! I bet you feel the same way too! Be careful out there, there are crazy drivers on the roads during holiday weekends.
