  1. Sure why not, I'm always up for a day trip with you Big Mike! Maybe we'll be able to hit SFGA next year since we didn't get to do it this season. By viewing this thread and other threads PTR I can determine whether or not a park is actually worth visiting. To Big Mike and every one else who gives us a trip report on TPR, I salute you! Keep up the great work.
  2. ^^I like your signature bigstevet07. I was cracking up when I read it, now I have to go watch CaddyShack! I love that movie.
  3. Good luck to both teams!
  4. ^ I don't follow sports so I guess when your team doesn't win it is a let down. Here in Philly we haven't had a championship in awhile so I guess all the fans are going to be going nuts. Here it is 1:30am and they are still celebrating in the streets. Alot of people jump on the bandwagon when one of their home town teams win, not me. I say "oh they won well good for them" and go about my business. I thought that RBI stood for runs, bases, innings until someone told me what it really meant !D'oh for me. Just a dumb girl I am.
  5. This year my family and I are going to do both the 1971 movie version of Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory and the 2005 movie version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I am going as 1971 Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka and my aunt is going as 2005 Johnny Depp Willy Wonka. Other family members will be taking on other roles from each movie. We always start planning our costumes in June and July. We take Halloween very serious. I even got married in October so I could have a Halloween reception. Everyone came in costume, it was great. I'll have to post some pics of it some time. My wedding anniversary is October 29.
  6. Not much of a baseball fan am I, but I figured I would post that my hometown team The Philadelphia Phillies are going to the World Series. People in my neighborhood are honking their horns and celebrating in the streets. I guess as sports fans go, they must be really happy because none of our teams have won any type of championship game since 1980 or 1983 I believe. They always go but fail to win anything. So if we have any Phillies fans out there, congrats to our hometown heroes!
  7. It's a new marketing gimmick. They are now serving pasta in their restaurants, which they always have, but they have some how "jazzed them up" a bit, serving them 'family style' in which you get 1 to 2 pounds of pasta, depending on how many are in your party, salad and drinks all for a special price. And as the commercial goes," if they like the pasta so much we just might change our name to Pasta Hut". So I don't think it is a permanent thing, just to sell more of their pasta. We also have a Pizza Hut Express and Wing Street combo store in our neighborhood. Not as good as dine-in but it does the trick when we can't to our local Pizza Hut, especially for the "all you can eat lunch buffet"!
  8. Right now in these uncertain times, to laugh at ourselves and our faults and to laugh just to laugh is a welcome relief to what is going on in and around the world. I had many a good laugh tonight playing board games and hanging out with my friends in my home. I hope everyone here at TPR has the chance to do that with friends and loved ones every once in awhile.
  9. ^Thanks for posting Robb. I got your text about you being on the show Mike, but I was in work and didn't have my phone with me so I didn't get it until I got off of work just now(around 4am Philly time) but thanks to Robb I just watched it. Wow, I know a real celebrity ! I'll have to show the family the video. Great job! You are the man Big Mike!----Bobbi Jo
  10. Heckles the Clown looks looks like Dr. Rockso the Rock and Roll clown from Metalocalypse.
  11. I'll send you one from PA and Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love. Glad to be of assistance! ----Bobbi Jo
  12. It looks likes you guys had a great weekend! By the way, I like your UPS jacket . I have so much crap from them in terms of hats, shirts, jackets etc..., it's not even funny. They must think I'm a good employee ! Nice pics of the Big Apple. I need to get up there and have you take me around to see the sites. maybe during the Christmas holidays, I have a vacation at Christmas, take the same week every year. I think that would be a good idea.---Bobbi Jo
  13. So the company I work for, UPS, has put their mark on something else? That is sacrilegious! Stay outta my parks UPS, you make me insane!
  14. I would rather watch paint dry then watch a baseball game. I'm glad that you had a good time Big Mike that's all that matters.
  15. I know that there probably wasn't a real spider lady at the freak show BRTeller, but I still get all excited when I go to a fair and they have a freak show. I get crazy like little kid at the fair. Fairs are awesome!
  16. I can't believe you didn't go in the freak show! I would have killed to see the spider lady. The best part about fairs are the sideshows and all the fried you food you can eat.! Great report and pics.
  17. It's nice to see that some places still have pinball machines. Very few of the arcades down on the boardwalk in WildWood have them. My sister and I try to seek them out. We are fanatics about pinball. When we need a fix near our house down the shore we run down to the Cinnabon/Carvel store and hit up their machines and get some ice cream and a Cinnabon too!
  18. Since you are staying on-site at Universal at one of their hotels, you won't have to worry about lines because you automatically get front of the line access at both parks with your room key, so lines for you at Universal won't be a problem. Disney, now that is another story. I've never been down to Disney at Christmas but alot of families go there on winter break with their kids so it might be crazy, but if you just take your time and don't overwhelm yourself, I'm sure you will have a good time. Just don't let the crowds get to you that's all. i hope this helps you and enjoy your trip.
  19. Give Lucky Dog our best Big Mike. Our Max fell down the steps today and gave us quite a scare. He is limping a little but I think he will be ok. Did you ring the bell on the coaster? I would have been ringing that bell so much that they would have kicked me off the coaster!---Bobbi Jo
  20. Line jumpers and crappy food.
  21. Birdy 1984 starring Matthew Modine and Nicholas Cage. A portion of the movie was filmed in WildWood,NJ and they go on a roller coaster called The Flyer , a wooden roller coaster that used to be located on Hunt's Pier on the boardwalk but was torn down in 1989.
  22. ^If they put the sugar on as soon as the cake comes out of the oil, it takes on this weird consistency and gets gooey and boy does it taste great. I know of only a couple of places where I live down the sugar that do this, other places wait to put the sugar on, so just ask them to put the sugar on immediately, you'll be glad you did!
  23. Big Mike, just be careful down in South Carolina this weekend with Hurricane Hannah hitting the east coast this weekend. I don't know what day you are going but it is supposed to make land fall early Saturday morning. Have a safe trip!----Bobbi Jo
