  1. Wow, I really hope it comes to the states. I would definitely go and experience it. I hope that they don't tone it down and not let the actors touch you. That adds to the whole experience.
  2. ^^ Hey ginzo, I'm one of those morons that scream while on the ride the entire time, even when I get strapped in. Sorry about that, I'll try not to do that so much in the future. By the way, I love your avatar! Judging by it you are a fan of Arrested Development. It is a shame that they took it off the air.
  3. I never got the chance to ride either side of this coaster even though I visit this park a few times a year. Oh well, it's my own fault. Maybe in my next life I will.
  4. You had to remind me of that awful looking thing. I think I'm gonna go vomit now.
  5. ^^I'm so sorry I called you sweetiepie instead of sweetiepeetie. Well please read my first post to SWEETIEPEETIE and disregard my use of your wrong screenname. Have a great time!
  6. ^Just take your time sweetiepie and map out the major houses you want to see first, go to them, then go back and do the secondary houses and shows you want to see. This way you get to see the attractions that you want to see the most first. It shouldn't be a problem since you have express passes. I hope you enjoy your 1st visit.Even though I won't be there until next Saturday, I already know what houses I'm doing first and the houses that are on my secondary to do list. Only 7 MORE DAYS until I get to experience what everyone else already has.. October 27th can't get here any quicker for me.
  7. ^I agree with you pianojohn about the restaurants in CityWalk, except for the Latin Quarter which I love. Theme restaurants get old after awhile. It is always the same food served in a different setting. That is why it is nice if you have a car while on vacation you can go outside of the parks and search for something different. While we were in Orlando this past August we found a little out of the way place that served great puerto rican and dominican food. You just have to be willing to go beyond the parks and International Drive t to find something. Most of the time though families are content to just stay inside the parks and eat at the restaurants that they offer. My husband and I have eaten at both of Emeril's restaurants in Orlando, the original and Emeril's Tchoup Chop at the Royal Pacific Hotel. Both were very good and it is only something we do when we are on vacation.
  8. OMG! I think I just had an orgasm! I love pinball. I'll have to go to this event next year. It gets harder and harder to find pinball machines in arcades today. Most are going with games where you win tickets for crappy prizes ala Chuck E Cheese. Great report and pics!
  9. I like it when I'm on a rollercoaster and the person next to me says, "Is this ride scary?" And my reply to them is always, "Yes it is and I get motion sickness on rides like this." The look on there face is priceless! Another weird thing I heard someone say was last year when I was in Myrtle Beach,SC. and we were at the Pavillion(sp?) and a father and son were walking by me and this was the conversation I overheard, son to father 'Hey Dad, can we get some ice cream later?' Father to son, 'We might maybe can get some ice cream later.' My nephew and I just looked at each other and cracked up. So for the rest of the trip that was our new saying for everything we were going to do.
  10. Great report and pics! I'm glad you had a good time at both events. I'm glad you didn't take any pictures of the roaches like Robb did. I hate roaches!
  11. ^You are exactly right Canobie Fan. I haven't been on it in years. It really was a head chopper. The Morey's organization is pretty decent company and maybe they will invest in these new seats to make it a smoother ride. Let's hope so! Now, if they would only reopen the Golden Nugget..............
  12. It's about time they are replacing those god awful seats. I mean I sure hope they do. That is why I stopped riding the Nor'easter. My ears would hurt so bad after riding and I would get such an awful headache. We will just have to wait and see. And I can't wait to see the new coaster that debuts between the two piers next year. Thank heaven I have a house down the shore!
  13. Thanks for the review and pics. Is it me or did anyone else think that the clown used as the entering point at the beginning of Jack's scarehouse looks like Dr. Rockso the rock and roll clown("I do cocaine!)from Metalocalypse? Coincidence maybe? I think it just might be Dr. Rockso.
  14. Hey Robb, it seems to me that this forum is turning into a East coast/West coast, my Universal is better than your Universal rivalry. I'm also seeing alot of I just joined this website and I'm going to post something in a forum that I have no idea what I am talking about mentality, don't you think?Who cares who has the better event, just be glad that you can go to an event like this on both coasts and have a good time.
  15. ^True. I would like to try to attend Hollywood's event one year. I like USH, it's small but I didn't fell overwhelmed when I went there. I took time my time and was able to do alot whereas in Florida it's so big you need a couple of days to see and do everything.
  16. ^We always miss you.We don't fly in until Friday the 26th. We are going on Saturday the 27th. Last time we went (2 years ago 2005)you went on the Saturday we came in from Philly and we went on that Sunday.
  17. Great video! I can't wait till I go to Florida to see it in person. By the way Robb when, are you and Elissa and the gang heading down to Florida for HHN?
  18. Now I know alot more people are going to this event. Don't be shy. Let us know when you are going. Post the days here.
  19. OMG! Those pictures were amazingly beautiful! Took my breath away. I only wish I can get the nerve to go back there after what happened to me the last time I was there. SIGH! Maybe one day, maybe one day............
  20. ^I don't agree with his opinion JT300, but I certainly value and respect it. Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion and I respect that. Like I said some people will share his opinion and some people won't and there is nothing wrong with that. And if he wants to complain, he has every right to complain. I'm not here to tell people what to do or say, I'm glad that we all have a website with forums that we can discuss and debate about the things we a share a common interest in. So I apologize to anyone I have offended with my comments, especially disneyfan1313 who started this thread.
  21. ^So disneyfan1313, why complain about the house if you are gong to back and check it out on another night? You went on opening night and of course there are going to be little snafus here and there to be worked out. Like I said, not everyone will share your opinion. Some people will like it, some people won't and there is nothing wrong with having an opinion about something. Again Universal went in a different direction regarding props in this haunted house, not just relying on actors to scare you. I value your opinion just like I value everyone else's on this website regarding theme parks and events such as HHN. No hard feelings then okay?
  22. And don't worry Eric, from all of the other opinions I've been hearing, The Thing house is very good. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. And I love your cat at the start of your TR.
  23. Just because you didn't like something (The Thing House) doesn't mean that everyone else will share your opinion. This house is doing something a little different than what people are used to in a haunted house and not really depending on the scare actors to frighten you. With The Thing house, Universal this year went in the opposite direction with puppetry and imagery and animatronics to tell the story and to see how people would react to these images rather that just have people randomly jump out and scare you. If you saw the movie than you would understand that the images along with the acting told the story and that is what Universal is trying to do with this particular house. Remember how Star Wars looked before it went all cgi on us? Don't get me wrong, cgi is wonderful but if you use too much it can ruin a wonderful thing. Think of special editions Star Wars. If it ain't broke, don't fix. Maybe I'm just too old school.
  24. Thanks for the report! Opening nights jitters for everyone I guess. By the time I get down there(the end of October) hopefully all the kinks will be worked out.
