Thankfully once Project City Center is done, MGM is looking to build another massive development to finally rid the world of the plague that is Circus Circus. But anyways...back on topic: You have to do what you have to do to control overhead costs. It's definitely worth trying. If there is a backlash against it, and it actually turns out to hurt the bottom line, I am sure the policy will be changed.

How often does a park that's not Disney or Universal have something that hasn't already been done in one form or another? Hell, even Disney and Universal are guilty of doing rides that have already been used elsewhere. I personally think it's cool that a new park is being built with a theme that hasn't been done before...which is about all you can ask for from a park without a Disney or Universal size budget.

A day pass for the San Diego Trolley is $5.00 (or $11.00 if you want the one for express routes). I imagine you could drive to SD, find a free parking spot somewhere, then take the trolley to San Ysidro. That's what we did 10 years ago. How much was parking/train ticket?

^For future reference, you can go back and edit your post instead of double posting. But to answer your question: Orient Express is the funicular. Dragon is the cable driven one on the back side of the park that is long gone (though the empty bottom station is still there---and featured in Robb's latest update). And yes, there is only one big carousel: the one you are referring to at the front of the park.

^I actually enjoyed Millionaire. At least everyone got to participate, and the fastest finger game really gave everyone a chance to get into the hot seat (randomly pushing buttons FTW). Idol on the other hand...doesn't sound like it has any redeeming qualities at all.
