^Unfortunately those costs are not fixed, which is why settlements/judgments always appear higher than what you would assume to be the actual cost. The entire insurance/legal system is broken to begin with---a person doesn't really have a choice but to "lawyer up" to get through what I am sure is a difficult claims process. I don't think it will be the end of the ride, but I have no doubt they will have to make a modification to the stagecoaches to ensure this doesn't happen again.

Why all the screaming, Robb?

^^The Sun Bowl doesn't start until 11. I got nothing else to do until then! -
What will be the FIRST coaster you ride in 2013?

Revenge of the Mummy @ USH. Same way I start every year! -
What is your non-theme park travel bucket list?
Jew replied to disneyfan1313's topic in Random, Random, Random
Some non-theme park related trips I do intend to take at some point -New Orleans for Mardi Gras -Japan in the winter -A Super Bowl -Play a round of golf at Pebble Beach -As strong of opinions as I may have of the SEC, I'd still love to go to a big time SEC game and see the atmosphere. -Finish up visiting all the MLB stadiums -
I'm very curious to see how RGIII fares next season. I think he has the best chance for long term success of any running QB's (best arm and seems to be a pretty level headed guy), but it will be interesting to see what happens after an offseason of defensive coaches breaking down film. This season sure has been fun to watch though.

He seemed to regress this year, but I'm not sure I can totally blame that on him. Shaky O-line+bad defense+questionable play calling from his coach=lots of throws he shouldn't have made. He doesn't have prototypical NFL size or arm strength, but he is a smart QB. Also isn't much of a scrambler, but does have a very underrated pocket presence. He's also a great "locker room" guy. Ultimately I can't say he is a sure fire prospect like RGIII or Andrew Luck, but I think given that the crop of available QB's this draft all have some sort of question marks---might as well take a shot. Can't get much worse for the Bills.

Can't wait to see what is in store for the flume, waterpark, and hotel! I hope they'll create even more awesome memories than the Dragon Bar did! -

^^^My suggestion would be to simply mute the audio and keep enjoying the videos. The fun of the comments in the videos is what separates TPR from other coaster videos. I agree with what others are saying---it's not for everyone, but I think it adds some personality to what is an otherwise boring thing to watch if you are not a coaster nerd. -
I've only been snowboarding once and very much enjoyed it. Scared me (and gave me a bigger rush) more than any roller coaster ever could. I'd definitely like to take more lessons and do it more in the future.

I too hope another water ride is in the future plans of the park. I totally understand why Log Jammer had to go (those pumps were on their last legs), but as everyone has said---it leaves a big hole in the parks ride line up. The three other water rides are not exactly high capacity, and there already isn't much to do for families as it is.

^If I remember correctly, there has only been a few Super Bowls without anyone from the Trojans. I'm going with the Seahawks. Got to root for Pete Carroll. Not only that, they've been playing really well since the middle of the season. If for some reason the niners choke away the division the Seahawks can get home field advantage, I don't think there is any question they'll at least make the Superbowl.

Tokyo Disney Resort Discussion Thread

I think they know visitors to Tokyo Disney will buy anything and everything they put up for sale. -
Chrome for me.

My criteria: any team with a USC player is OK by me. I don't have an NFL team I root for.

Hong Kong Disneyland (HKDL) Discussion Thread
Jew replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
HKDL's problem wasn't the lack of unique rides---it was a lack of rides in general. -
While certainly ruining the theme (MGM did that long ago anyways at all their properties), at least Diablos is a decent place to eat and drink. Gilley's and Senor Frogs are just too much. The fugly bright green paint of Senor Frogs on the lagoon is just tacky.
-
I just can't get over using the strip frontage for a Gilley's and fugly Senor Frogs...clearly catering to a low roller demographic. Such a shame what it has become.
-
Phil Ruffin has turned Treasure Island into a low roller joint. He'd fit right in as the owner of "The Quad". Aside from the "Go" and "fab" rooms at the Flamingo, all the Caesars properties on that block of the Strip are complete crap (Flamingo, Harrahs, The Quad). Before the economy tanked, they had plans to use that block as their answer to City Center---I suspect "The Linq" and "The Quad" is the first phase of what will ultimately be a larger renovation. I think they are just starting small with converting Bill's Gambling Hall into a Drai's boutique hotel before jumping into a larger project. Caesars as it is now could really use more "mid tier" properties. Planet Hollywood is really all they have to compete against MGM's line up of mostly mid tier properties.

The first noticeable change has opened up: the Porte Cochere. Actually looks good. http://www.vegastripping.com/news/blog/4836/now-open-the-quads-new-porte-cochere/
