The SAT would be fine if it wasn't 3 hours and 45 minutes long. Its agonizing. Mark "thank god the MCAT is being shortened" Luskus

The show makes me wonder why I even bother to watch television anymore.

Actually, I checked online and the approximate gas mileage (highway) of your car is 34 MPG. If gas is three dollars a gallon, that comes out to about $90. But, 34 MPG probably isn't exactly accurate, gas isn't always $3 a gallon, and you will have some city driving, so how about $130 or so for gas, just to be safe. $100 seems like a lot of money for food if you're just gone for a weekend. I'd say about $75 or so. Personally, those figures seem a bit more accurate. Have a fun trip.

^ Try taking the ACT. Its another college entrance exam that most colleges accept in place of the SAT. Some kids do better on the ACT. Mark "I did better on the ACT" Luskus

I have to say that I am a huge advocate of macs. I have an iBook, an iPod, and all of my future computer purchases will be macs. However, I have had many iPod problems as have my friends. They just seem to be too fragile to endure the bumps from every day "portable" use. Good luck with yours. The instructions the first poster posted seem like they'll work. I suffered a similar problem at one point with my 3G iPod (now deceased).

I leave for college August 18. Orientation doesn't start until the 24th but I'm doing pre-orientation. 20 kids and I are doing community service and lots of fun summer camp like activities. I think we get to go canoeing one day. Mark "I'm absurdly excited" Luskus

-Where do/did you go to college? I'm headed off to Kenyon College in Ohio shortly. -What are/did you studying/study? I'm going to be studying molecular biology and Japanese. What I want to do with molbio when I graduate, I'm still not sure of. But theres lots of graduate programs and careers I can persue. -What made you go there? Small class sizes, beautiful campus, amazing reputation, great facilities. It pretty much had everything I was looking for in a college. Mark "18 days until I go!" Luskus

I love the pictures of the gorge and the waterfall! I was able to be in that exact same spot last summer. The pacific northwest is beautiful (especially Portland!). Mark "Oh and the coaster pics were cool" Luskus -

All I have to say is thank god Arrow realized how stupid the loading process on X is and converted to a dropping floor. Mark "The floor drops A LOT though!" Luskus -

^ I don't mean to seem condescending with what I'm about to say, but a book is not difficult solely because of bad writing. If you aren't mature or well read enough to tackle a particular novel, you won't be able to appreciate or understand it. It doesn't mean its hard or boring, but just that you shouldn't be reading it at that time. Try rereading some books you may not have liked in middle school (Animal Farm is always great for this) and read it now. See how your opinions have changed.
