  1. Wes, glad to hear you like Slaughter-House Five! I have to admit though, I like Cats Cradle a bit more. And also, while it bothers me a bit to hear that people are enjoying the likes of Harry Potter more than classic pieces of literature, at least you guys are reading. A lot of teenagers don't. Besides, I didn't like all of the books I read in school! I strongly disliked the Scarlet Letter, but maybe one day I'll give it another chance. Mark "Great Gatsby was the best book I ever had to read" Luskus
  2. I thought that Six Flags didn't own the land that Magic Mountain sits on and that they instead have a contract with Newhall. Mark "This is all very interesting" Luskus
  3. You guys get to read such great novels! Try to enjoy them. Mark "Just finished Slaughterhouse-Five" Luskus
  4. ^ Through my history classes and my knowledge of history, its my belief that the United States would never go to war in order to overthrow a cruel dictator. The question being posed is a hard one for me to answer. Even though its such a big part of the world right now, I don't have a strong grasp on what is going on in Iraq. Also, I don't know too much about foreign policy, international relations, and other fields in order to firmly say whether or not we should be in Iraq. Mark "I remain undecided" Luskus
  5. Of all the fairs I have been to, I have never seen a tagada ride. Mark "But damn, they look like fun" Luskus
  6. I'll just rank the parks I've been to. 1. SFOG 2. SFNE 3. SFGADV 4. SFA 5. SFMM 6. SFMW Mark "If SFWOA still existed that woulld grab #1 or #2!" Luskus
  7. That was seriously one of the BEST wooden roller coasters I had ever been on. The airtime was just insane. Mark "I'm moving to Ohio just in time for it to close permanently... Lame" Luskus
  8. Spamalot on Broadway is AMAZING. I saw it two months ago and can say its the best broadway show I've ever seen. You'll love it.
  9. My advice? Try to ignore it and put all of your effort into school work so when it comes time to apply to colleges you have plenty of options. Mark "High school drama is horrible, but you're almost at the end" Luskus
  10. Our school faced a similar situation last year and with 300 kids in the high school, it hit hard. One of my classmates (then an 11th grader), a senior, and a sophmore were speeding and crashed into a tree. The 11th grader was killed, the sophmore suffered sever injuries (but is now ok), and the senior walked away with minor injuries. The next few weeks and months will be hard and I'm sorry you have to go through it. Things will eventually be resolved over time but until then be prepared for a lot of crying and anger.
  11. It could absolutely be interpreted as propaganda! Propaganda may be biased, but it is not always political. Propaganda is the spread of information for a cause. Heres why it could be interpreted as propaganda. The war on Iraq is a highly controversial event. By releasing this film and giving a theatrical, emotional touch to the chain of the events that lead to the war, more people may be inclined to lend their support to the war effort. Yup, that sounds like propaganda to me. Do I think it was intended that way? Not necessarily.
  12. I'm not sure how I feel about this movie. On one hand it seems like propaganda but on the other hand it seems to be a "tribute". Mark "I definitely won't be seeing it though" Luskus
  13. Nice pics. I was there yesterday for my physics day! Mark "I wonder when they'll finish el Toro..." Luskus
  14. Hey guys. I have a question about ezpass... On your ezpass bill, does it list the date and time that you used tolls? Thanks!
  15. Typhoon Lagoon Pros -Amazing theming -Fun slides -The best wavepool ever -Clean -Not too crowded Cons -There aren't too many slides Blizzard Beach Pros -Very creative theming -Tons of cool slides. Some are very intense. Cons -Can be very crowded -Somewhat dirty (however, I have only been once) You can't really go wrong with either one. If you want a more relaxing day where you feel like you're in a tropical paradise, choose Typhoon Lagoon. If you want a more action packed day, choose Blizzard Beach. Mark "I miss Disney waterparks" Luskus
  16. I'm mostly english. Mark "I'm one of those 'came over on a boat in the 1600's' wasps" Luskus
  17. I've been pretty lucky. -Mono -Chicken Pox (Then shingles a couple years later) -Pnuemonia -Bronchitis Mark "Nothing life threatening" Luskus

  19. No specific order. -Kiwi -Papaya -Mango -Strawberry -Peach -Rasberry -Cherry -Cantolope -Watermelon -Grapefruit Mark "Now I want fruit" Luskus
  20. I understand that a series of bad events can lead a person to want a change of scenery. It's only natural. While I can't tell you what decision to make, I do think that it's something you need to think about for some time. Let your life stablize and see how the next few months go (especially with your new job). Also, it seems like a solution to some of your problems just involves visitng PA more. If you can afford to move, I'm assuming you can afford to fly out to visit your family and friends a couple times each year. Maybe trying that would alleviate some of your homesickness? Don't make any rash decisions about moving cross country, but keep thinking about it and try to go on with your life in Pheonix and see how you feel after a period of time. Mark "Then again you described Pheonix as being 'dusty, smoggy, and dry'. Maybe you don't like it after all!" Luskus
  21. The weather in the Philadelphia area is AMAZING! Partly cloudly skies, temperatures in the mid sixties (Maybe it hit the 70's? It's been so long since I've felt warm weather than I can't tell). I'm thrilled with the weather... Philadelphia winters suck because its cold as all hell, but we only get one or two snowstorms a year. If its cold then I demand snow! Mark "Next year in Ohio I'll be drowning in snow" Luskus
  22. I thought that GS was a fantastic ride when I rode it. It was much more exciting than the other standups I've been on (All of the options except for Iron Wolf). Mark "I need to get back to SFOG" Luskus
  23. Um, wasn't S&S going to make smaller 4-D versions in order to avoid any major problems? Mark "Hmm, I guess money talks" Luskus
  24. Heres a picture of the outside of my house. I'll add some interior shots later. Mark "It may not look big, but looks are deceiving..." Luskus
