  1. I'm planning on making the trip over tomorrow. Should be short lines (if not complete walk-ons) for most of the big rides due to the weather forecast (high of 51 with clouds and rain chances late in the evening AND it being a weekday). The wind might be an issue, but it's not supposed to get above 15 mph until later.
  2. I don't think SV should need the boarding pass system until Memorial Day weekend. I also remember when Cedar Point had a Top Thrill Dragster status update webpage in 2003 (complete with red = closed and green = open).
  3. Intimidator 305?
  4. Planet Coaster. The Sidemen or Team 10 (both YouTube collectives)
  5. My bottom tier includes: Corkscrew, Wolverine Wildcat, and Zach's Zoomer at Michigan's Adventure (I'll be going there at least once this year to reride these (and ST and Thunderhawk); haven't ridden any of these in years) Corkscrew and Blue Streak at Cedar Point Vortex at Kings Island Arrow loopers (which three of the six are) are not fun if you're tall
  6. Cedar Point sometime in the next few weeks (probably on one of the weekdays the park is open between May 11 and Memorial Day)
  7. Still have ridden zero RMCs, but will probably ride Steel Vengeance this month
  8. Viper at Six Flags Magic Mountain?
  9. Granted, but Superman gets relocated to another park. I wish I didn't have to move back home.
  10. Woodstock Express at Kings Island. A tight fit for someone who is 6'2", but it's still better than Blue Streak (Cedar Point)
  11. Kings Island has one in the Diamondback line, mostly consisting of phones from the late 2000s
  12. Speaking of pulled pork with Mac and cheese, I went to a local BBQ place near where I live and I had a pulled pork with Mac and cheese (and bacon) and it was super good!
  13. Wondering where SV will end up in this coming year's poll. Off-topic, but the only thing CP is missing is a decent wooden coaster (all four of KI's woodies are better than Blue Streak IMO)
  14. Just Push Play. KSIOlajideBT or Logan Paul?
  15. Planning on heading to KI tomorrow. How should lines be?
  16. Not Steel Vengeance related, but I have a question: If I got a CF Platinum Pass on Cedar Point's website, does my first CF visit have to be to Cedar Point or can I go to Kings Island and have it processed there?
  17. Weighed in at the doctor's a couple of weeks ago and I was at 242-243 (at about 6'2"). Last year I was 250. That is despite working an office job (however, most of my meals during the week are relatively small and I almost exclusively drink water). For exercise, I go 30 minutes on the treadmill at my apartment complex's fitness center five times a week. I am fine on most coasters (I barely fit on Wicked Twister last year, but every other coaster I rode I managed to get on with little issues)
  18. Saw Brad Paisley last night at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids. It was a last minute thing, as my sister texted me Friday night asking me if I had any interest in going. It was a really good show. Brad was really good and so were the opening acts Lindsay Ell, Chase Bryant, and Dustin Lynch
  19. A year and a half ago. When is the last time you bought a car?
  20. Might hit KI one of the next few weekends before CP opens up for the season
  21. One of my coworkers had a horrible Spirit experience. Her flight back to DTW was cancelled several times, eventually forcing her to pay $300 for a one-way flight (via CLT) on American
  22. Definitely Cedar Point Kings Island (CF passholder for 2018) Likely Michigan's Adventure (I have to pass by it when going home; with my CF platinum pass I could just swing in, ride ST, and then go home) Possibilities (some have very little chance of happening) Busch Gardens Williamsburg Carowinds Dollywood Dorney Park Fun Spot parks (both) Hersheypark Holiday World Indiana Beach Kennywood Kentucky Kingdom Kings Dominion Knoebels Six Flags America Six Flags Great Adventure Six Flags Great America Waldameer
  23. I was kind of thinking of a similar trip next year and I also live in the Detroit area (Ypsilanti), but I would lean slightly more south: Saturday 1: Leave early in the morning, go to Waldameer and Conneaut Lake, then drive east Sunday 1: Dorney Monday: Knoebels, then Hershey late in the day Tuesday: Hershey, then SFGAdv late in the day Wednesday: SFGAdv, leave mid-afternoon toward Hampton Roads (using US 13 to avoid DC entirely) Thursday: Busch Williamsburg Friday: Kings Dominion Saturday 2: Carowinds Sunday 2: Dollywood (I work afternoon shift M-F, so I could leave PF and get a hotel north of Cincinnati/Dayton and still make it to work on time) I could drop the western PA parks, as those (and Kennywood) could be done in a weekend trip (if that were to happen, Hershey and Dorney would be swapped, with HP moving to Sunday and DP moving to Tuesday [Knoebels would remain Monday])
