  1. Thanks for posting Thad. This report is full of all kinds of awesome.
  2. Good for them! This will fit perfectly in the park and should be a HUGE hit with the families. David
  3. Wow - we are getting harder and harder to please, aren't we?? To me - it looks great and will be awesome for the park. I'm hoping for some of that creepy retro-themed funhouse stuff. Something I've noticed in my travels and adventures... put a ride in a box, and unless there is a batman logo associated, it becomes awesome. I'm sure Hershey is going to do a jam-up job on this one. I think it fits very nicely with their existing coaster lineup and would have been really shocked if they had put something "extreme" in. I just rode SkyRush withTPR a couple of weeks ago and wow - that thing was amazing. I don't think that the guests in Hershey would ride anything much more extreme than that. This coaster, however, will be fun and will be something that pleases a much broader spectrum of riders. Can someone remind me where this will be located please? I can't seem to place it in my mind. Thanks!
  4. Just in case you are serious - on the Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkey's main page - upper left - see the "new topic" button? Press that to start a new thread. I'd do a search for how to re-size photo's for a TR before embarking on it. It isn't difficult, but takes some practice. David
  5. How many people do you think will build the "Euthanasia" coaster that pops up every once in a while on Facebook?
  6. I haven't seen anyone mention SFoG in this thread. Have they hinted at anything yet?
  7. ^very nice!
  8. I can't think of a single ride that I "can't" ride any longer. I can, however, think of several that I "won't" ride. I've been to enough parks and ridden enough rollercoasters that I know which designers and coasters just suck. Those - I do not ride. I have never had a flat / spinning ride make me ill and I hope I never do
  9. ^ never be too shy to come talk to me . Ask anyone I know around here - I've never met a stranger . D
  10. David - I wished that I would have seen this post before Banshee Bash as we could have met up. I was looking for someone that looked like your avatar photo, but I never saw you. Although it's quite possible that I may have been standing by you in a queue line or at one of the coaster walk backs and never even knew it! And I'm too shy to just walk up to someone and say 'Hi' if I don't know them! Unfortunately, the early ERT on Banshee, Delirium and The Bat left my partner a bit queasy for the rest of the day so we didn't do many rides during the day and I did the rest of the ERT on my own. He was a real trooper though and insisted that we stay all day and do all of the late ERT and was urging me to go find some coaster friends to ride with. Here is our photo of us taken with Snoopy at the pavilion...we did meet a nice gay couple from Erie while we had our lunch that just happened to be sitting right next to us! So sorry I missed you guys. I saw you getting off of Delirium that morning -but couldn't get your attention in time. Once we got off of the ride - you guys were gone. Glad you had a great time though!! David
  11. I'll take a Kumba themed to birds, turkeys, what have you over a Wing or Flyer any day . Will be up in Ohio tomorrow evening (processing the KI pass for Banshee Bash on Friday,) but will definitely tune in here to see what is coming! David
  12. Perhaps it will get a refurb like Monster Plantation at SFoG did. They did a fantastic job with that one.
  13. I pretty much have a stomach of steel when it comes to rides. The only ride that makes me a bit nervous is Mission Space. I've never gotten ill on it, but I figure it is the closest I come. I still ride it every time I am at Epcot, because it's great fun.
  14. ^LOL - agreed. I, for one, hope they are getting something great next year. For the record - SFoG is one of my all time favorite places. I worked there when I was a teenager, and have always loved the park. I know that the waterpark addition will be great for the park, but for me it was a bit of a letdown. SkyScreamer as well. They took out one of my favorite rides at the park (Wheelie) to add a really really tall swing. I used to go to SFoG every year for Easter Sunday, but the last two years additions have not urged me ot make the long drive up there from Florida. We used to get Seasons Passes for both of us and for our Neice and use them quite a bit for the long Easter weekend. Just haven't had the urge to for a couple of years. Would love to get back next year though!
  15. And some episodes of the older Doctors are now streaming on Netflix. Dr. Who Classic
  16. ^I've been wondering about this park as well recently. They have not had a good addition (to me) to the dry park in YEARS. All of their attention is going to the Waterpark, which I am sure is really good for them, but leaves me no reason to make the trip.
  17. We are going to go to Cedar Point after we attend Banshee Bash. We are going to drive to Sandusky on Saturday the 26th - go to the park that afternoon / evening - and spend all day Sunday the 27th at the park. We are planning on getting Fast Lane on Sunday. If you all were me - how would you do the park? We are not staying at the breakers. Thanks David
  18. Either Nine Inch Nails with David Bowie or Lollapalooza 1 (Henry Rollins, Souxsie and the Banshees, Ice-T with Body Count...)
  19. Any of my friends from this thread doing Banshee Bash, Knoebels Day or Coney Island???
  20. I'm a David Tenant fan myself, but I really liked Christopher Eccleston's "darker Doctor."
  21. Love that last photo! It just makes me smile.
  22. If the guy pictured in the article is the guy they are talking about - I'd say that it was pretty damned "in." Whew - it's getting hot up in here
  23. I really hope/wish that Gwazi gets a makeover/refurbish. It is such a great looking ride that should be amazing and ]would be if it didn't try to knock your brains out through your ears. It would be great to see it just retrofitted with topper track, or to have a RMC makeover. It seems like such a waste to tear it down. Every time I ride it I am just irritated that it has gotten into the condition that it is in.
  24. Seriously - do it. You won't regret it. I'm going on my 6th TPR trip this summer. They have truly been the most fun and best vacations I've ever taken.
  25. ^I'm not sure about the night-time waits, but since it is still very new and EXTREMELY popular, I wouldn't count on it having a super-reduced wait time at any point in the day. Diagon Alley is going to be SUPER-crowded almost always for the next year or so. Heck, even Hogsmead is still SUPER popular and very crowded - and it has been opened for years. I'd recommend getting there early, and diving into Diagon Alley first thing. Be prepared to wait for Gringotts and be prepared for it to be crowded. That isn't to say that it won't be fantastic and that you and your family wont enjoy the hell out of it - but go in expecting crowds. After you experience that - with your express passes - the rest of the day will be a breeze. I'm sure you guys are going to love it and I can't wait to hear your opinions . David
