  1. I really ate more pizza that I should have that day. It made it difficult to finish the Molly's Cupcake afterwards. Chuck, Lombardi's was my favorite as well (both times I've done the tour,) but that slice from Joe's was pretty spectacular.
  2. Tap tap tap....anyone here??? Helllloooooo????
  3. Thank you for the great pictures and trip report. I never get tired of seeing Tokyo Disney and Disney Sea pictures!!
  4. ^ I agree. I've found that it is REALLY hard to go wrong with Sea Lions. They are just so fun.
  5. Thank you guys for the coverage. It is always a blast to see what is going on at IAAPA.
  6. Thanks for this report! Looks like a FULL weekend, but I'm kinda' jealous. David
  7. ^I think people feel like they are invisible unless they are bitching about something these days . This looks awesome, and this year will be my first Mickey Christmas event. So very excited.
  8. Thanks for the report - I'm looking forward to the rest
  9. Thanks for the report Chuck! We has such an amazing time on this trip, and I appreciate the memories!
  10. It's been said before, but bears repeating - that track color looks SPECTACULAR against the changing leaves. Thanksfor keeping us up to date!
  11. Disney World. I do love the thrills at Cedar Point, but between the two - Disney wins it hands down. It really is the whole package with rides, shows, dining, waterparks, theming, SERVICE and of course villans, characters, princes and princesses.
  12. Another vote for Dorney here. Gosh, I really want to like the place, I really do. I don't hate it, but it always leaves me feeling "flat" and pretty much ready to go. Maybe if I were a water park fan, I would enjoy it more - but I've always been of the opinion that I should not have to put on a bathing suit to enjoy a day at a theme park. This is my deal with Wild Adventures as well. When an SLC and a woodie running G-Trains are your top rides attractions, I really don't feel that adding cabana's and a new family water slide or whatever crap they added this year, will do anything to bring me back to the park.
  13. 1971 - there are still 6 in operation. It was a year of Mice and Mine Trains. River King Mine Train - SFStL Gold Rusher - SFMM Toboggan - Lakemont park
  14. I was joking about Apple's stock price today in my office (I work for a brokerage firm.) I was thinking about the Evangelicals who will be switching to Samsung . In all honesty though, Apple has been pretty up front in it's supports for gay marriage, etc for years - so I don't think it will really effect them.....Although that snake did tell that chick in the garden to eat an apple.........hmmmm Good on him for calling out Alabama though! Missed you guys - glad to be back. David
  15. Thanks for the report Adam. I have simply got to get over there next weekend (perhaps on Monday) to ride this. And, of course, ride Kumba a LOT.
  16. Well - even though I am still "distraught" at the loss of the Wheelie - at least they are putting in a thrilling flat ride. I know people will piss and moan that it isn't the latest face-meltingly-fast-airtime-machine, but I think everyone that has been there can agree that they REALLY needed to work more on their flat collection in the dry-park. I do hope that if it is Joker themed - it goes in Gotham City where it belongs and not over near the Mine Train.
  17. We always say, "get more flats, get more flats..." Now they are adding a flat (I don't really care how they are marketing it,) and we are complaining about it because you can find it at a carinval? A TON of major parks have Scramblers, Ferris Wheels, Monster/Spiders, etc...and those can all be found at carnivals and fairs. Jeesh - chill out folks. D
  18. It always takes me a few episodes to warm up to New Doctor's (except Tennant for some reason.) This guy seems great though and I love Clara. He seems like a "sadder" Doctor and I kind of felt sorry for him this episode. DVR set to record!
  19. ^ Wellllll - being the smart a$$ that I am - I noticed the odd looking statue of the kid and made the remark, "the reason you are by yourself is that your parents don't like you," or something of that sort. An employee right in the area told us that the statue is in memory of a kids who die of cancer. I promptly replied, "and I am going straight to hell. Not passing go. Not collecting $200"
  20. Just to troll the internet nerds, I've been tempted to wear my RMC shirt (because let's face it, I am one of those internet nerds) and just stand around taking photos and "noting" stuff in a book by the Minebuster bridge or WWC area. Please, oh PLEASE do this!!
  21. I305 is amazing, but I can't re-ride it too many times without a break. It is just very intense and that amazing first turn really takes it out of me.
  22. Getting quite a few laughs from this report Thad. Thanks for continuing it (and making me so freaking jealous that I didn't do that trip.)
  23. If your family enjoys a good road trip - then both are worth it. As said before, at SFGAdv - El Toro is worth it alone It is a big Six Flags park and there is plenty to do to keep you occupied. SFoG - in my opinion, is one of the nicest Six Flags Parks. It is an old Six Flags park (the 2nd in the chain after SFoT.) Very hilly and shaded. Goliath is pretty phenominal, MindBender is classic Schwartzkopf at its best, DareDevil Dive is a great Eurofighter, Batman and Superman are clones (Superman was the 1st flyer and uses the terrain very well.) Scorcher is one of the best Standups in my opinion as well.
  24. ^Them's fightin' words my friend Seriously - I doubt they would do anything with Shockwave. I know plenty of enthusiasts would lose their minds if such were to happen
  25. Hey Chuck! Thanks for the pictures. Banshee Bash was such a great day! We were there the night before the bash and got a front seat ride on Firehawk. The fireworks were going off while we were going up the hill, so with the odd seating/laying position - we had a great view. That was the best part of the ride . Those night rides on Beast were E-P-I-C though and more than made up for the beatings that Firehawk was giving.
