That was a great report. Thanks for taking the time to post it. I went to KD last season and I hope I'll be able to make the treck back up this year. It seems to have become a much more well rounded park than my first visit in 2008. Hope they keep up the good work!

^^^Bert - Happy Belated Birthday! I celebrated my 44th a few weeks ago - had dinner at Monseur Paul's in Epcot. Sounds like you have a fun trip coming up! ^^If I'd known you were down here, I'd have stopped by Busch Gardens to say hi! ^I've lived down here for a year and a half (Orlando) and have not checked out the Dali museum. I think I need to remedy that

Tom - as someone who can do the hell out of a road trip - I think this looks like a lot of fun!! I'd highly recommend checking out some books on cd or making sure the rental car has satellite radio (or both.) The long stretches through the middle of the country can be VERY dull. Books on CD work for me because they keep me from zoning out too much at the vast spaces . I do hope you will get down to Orlando, because having seen your pictures in numerous trip reports over the years, it would be very nice to meet you. Take care and safe travels!!!!! David

Skyrush became my #1 last summer. The airtime is like nothing I've ever experienced and I was actually pretty terrified my first ride on it. Looking forward to seeing everything with Laff Track completed. Such a fun park.

Looks freaking amazing! I too am glad that they are putting what looks like quite a bit of effort into theming that part of the park. I really hope to get out there in the next year for my first visit! Thanks for taking the time to do this update Caesar. David

Thanks for the update Chuck! Loved the pictures and the captions. I'll agree about the Carowinds flyers. The first time I rode them was during an ERT session at CoasterStock and the ride-op was actually telling people how to get them to snap. It was awesome and terrifying!! David

Universal Studios Orlando, WDW and SeaWorld are all about the same distance BGT is just over an hour away.

I really look forward to getting up there to ride Fury325. It looks like a ton of fun!! I'm sure I will love it, even if it won't be my new #1 I am more of a "Skyrush" kind of guy really, but this is one damn beautiful coaster and it looks like an absolute blast!! David

I have to say I am super-impressed. I kind of figured the coaster itself would be pretty great looking, but all of the "extra" touches with it and the new entrance are pretty amazing. Hope to get up there this summer!

I went to "CoasterStock" a couple of times and it was always a pretty well done event to me. Night ERT on Intimidator 232 didn't suck either

I'm so glad that they are putting in all the "twisty bits." Everything looks like it is coming together nicely!

Space Mountain

Although I am by no means an insider, I would think that they would go with whichever company can build them what they have in mind for the best price. They have relationships with a lot of different compaines - and I don't think that any of them are particularly "bad" from a ride installation aspect. David

This is all such exciting news. I have been reading bits and pieces about the drop tower being added, but had to come to TPR to get the scoop . I really look forward to watching this entire area being built, and as excited as I am for the thrills - I'm also excited to read about Mango's and such. Looks like a really fun time! It isn't far from home for us so it feels like it's being built in our neighborhood.

Saw "The Boy Next Door" with J-Lo last week. The boy it is referring to is hot and it was a fairly tight little thriller. One thing though....they both were talking about "The Iliad" and then he brought her the book and she said, "This is a first edition." I don't think he found a 3,000 year old copy of Homer's classic. I laughed.
