  1. Hooray for Mindbender being amazing, GASM being fun, and Deja Vu being open! Great day at SFOG!
  2. Superman: Ride of Steel at Six Flags America. The brake run is really sudden, although it's smooth. Goudurix and Ninja (SFOG) both have really sudden brakes where the entire ride rattles as the train stops. Woohoo Vekoma loopers of pain!
  3. Wow! That was really fun thanks for posting it! I loved the ToT one, it was fun once you got the hang of it. I think the Space Mountain one had a glitch with the guests, they kept stopping and I couldn't get the pre-shows to work in Phantom Manor. Thunder Mountain was fun but I could never get enough guests to come to make it hard. The ToT one was great though!
  4. I was at Six Flags America and the Roar operator was making the Timmy sounds from South Park over the microphone, I thought that was kind of odd. I think that was the stangest ride op I've encountered
  5. Dollywood was really great park! I think it's funny how when we went to SFOG we got bored after about 4 hours but Dollywood has less than half the coasters of SFOG and I felt bummed that I had to leave after 5. Mystery Mine was incredible! I thought it was a really different experience from any other coaster I've been on, even ROTM which I've heard people compare it to. The tight turns and quick drops made it really thrilling but it was still small enough to please the family crowd. Thunderhead was great too, but that was to be expected...
  6. I went to Grad Bash and Islands of Adventure/USO my senior year. I think the highlight was a 5 minute wait for ROTM at about 1:45 am with an entire car full of my friends. Grad Bash was great, although they had to close down Hulk/DD after midnight for noise reasons.
  7. Wow! I haven't followed the construction of the particular project but the placement of that is really cool! That looks great! Kudos to Liseberg
  8. Make sure your pictures aren't too big. If you want to upload pictures they need to be at the largest 800x600 and 150k. I'm pretty sure that the upload won't work if your pictures are larger than that.
  9. I'm sorry if I missed it, but what school are you talking about? You could always do the college internship program or something.
  10. I moved to South Carolina this year and what a good choice that was! I'm really interested to see how the Premier coaster in the British section is going to turn out. That ferris wheel lift looks crazy, that's just so cool.
  11. Great pictures! I've done the MGM-Epcot-AK one day combo before and it takes a lot out of you! Did you only get on Test Track and Mission: Space at EPCOT? I think it's hard to spend a whole day at MGM or AK, but there's so much to do at EPCOT that I can spend so much time there.
  12. Roughest Coasters I've been on: #1- Python, BGT #2- Knott's Boomerang #3- Goudurix- Parc Asterix Honerable mentions- Mind Eraser- SFA, Ninja- SFOG,
  13. ^No you have to pay for tickets. It's part of CityWalk not either park. I really like the look of the lobby area, although it looks like the actual theater may have some ways to go
  14. I moved away from Florida last year and you're making me miss all of those parks! Great pictures
  15. Umm if that ride was real I'm pretty sure it would have an awful capacity. With cars that small you would need a lot more block sections and that animation didn't look like it had many.
  16. I think that when IOA finally does get a new coaster it will be a flyer in JP. A flyer is really easy to market since it would be the only one in Florida and the flying position is still rather remarkable to the GP. It also fits in with Florida park's love affair with B&M and the fact that a wooden coaster would be hard to theme to the level that IOA would want a coaster themed to. Before any of that happens though I think we will see what they do with the Lost Continent, will the Harry Potter deal come through? I hope so since that would be a huge attendance booster and integrating the Kuka arm into a dark ride would be awsome!
  17. I actually prefer Splash Mountain at MK to Dudley, although Dudley is still one of the most amazing water rides ever built. I think that Splash Mountain has far superior interior theming that puts the ride over the top, although I have ot admit that Dudley has the better final drop.
  18. 1)Splash Mountain- Magic Kingdom 2)Dudley Do-Right 3)Jurassic Park 4)Knott's Log Flume Also Parc Asterix's log flume looked really cool, but I didn't get a chance to ride it.
  19. yeah, if I recall correctly the one in Atlanta used to be a roller coaster's lift hill.
  20. The only one I've been on is Georgia Scorcher, and I don't recall hangtime in the first loop, it was actually really intense the whole way through
  21. Mine was Dueling Dragons- Ice. I think I was 14 at the time, and prior to riding DD my biggest coaster was Space Mountain at the Magic Kingdom.
  22. Wow, and now I remember why I haven't stopped at Wild Adventures even though I drive through Valdosta all the time. I seriously just need to bite the bullet and get my credits. Oh btw I love Burrito Bros.
  23. Wow what a great TR. I didn't realize how extensive the change from SFMW to SFDK was, but I think the park looks great. I've never been there before, but it seems like it's really going in the right direction.
  24. Great TR! I wish I could get on some of those old school Disneyland rides that they don't have in Florida. California looks like a lot of fun, the only park I've made it to out there is Knotts but hopefully I'll get to Magic Mountain and Disneyland within the next few years.
