  1. Nature of the Experiment- Tokyo Police Club
  2. I was thinking the same thing as I was looking through those pictures
  3. ^Why were they only operating half of "Drop Tower"? Are they doing rehab on half of the seats or something?
  4. Wow, that looks great (although not as good as its previous lakeside position in my opinion). They still have a lot of painting and landscaping to do, but at least most of the heavy construction is over with. Thanks for the picture!
  5. Thanks for the update! I haven't made it to Universal in about two years, hopefully I'll find the time to go back soon! Those parks are so great, I can't wait to see them once the new additions are all in.
  6. Those pictures of Pony Express are really good. The ride looks a lot better than I thought it would. That Silver Bullet line looks ridiculous! I know that at some points they have to take one of the trains down for maintainance, but they could have picked a better time of the year or perhaps they could have just taken down the whole ride for both trains to rehab in like January or something.
  7. Wow! The lines were really that long on opening day? That season pass line looks ridiculous! I really like that shot you got of the Batwing, that's such a sweet element.
  8. I got on ROTM in Orlando a few years ago and someone in the row behind me said to the ride op "We forgot to pick up our 3D glasses for this ride, we didn't see them earlier in the line" ...which is somewhat understandable since like half the rides at USO are 3D, but I still had to laugh a little bit.
  9. ^Yeah they've had a lot of stuff up promoting their X-Cars for a while now. I just don't think this whole multi-media gimmick is really that great. Plenty of rides have on-board music systems, and I can't imagine that allowing the guest to choose their song is really that much of a technological advancement. I guess it's a good marketing strategy though, the GP will probably think it's the coolest thing ever. I wonder if Disney will retaliate with a similar feature on Space Mountain 2 or perhaps modifying RRC to choose different mixes.
  10. ^^haha. But I actually think that machine looks pretty good. I just wish they would replace those Arrow corkscrews with some B&M track and then some enthusiasts might be happy. ...but then again, 99% of the people who use those machines don't think of the corporate implications or of the quality of the coasters on the artwork.
  11. ^You'll be fine. You're probably done already!
  12. I've sort of help my expectations at bay for this thing, but I think the testing looks pretty promising. The trains look a lot better than I expected and I think this thing has solid pacing. I really hope I can get a chance to get to Canada sometime soon!
  13. haha, that was amazing Umm, SFOG (with a large sum of money of course): -Take out GASM and add an Intamin Woodie. GASM takes up way too much space for such a "bleh" ride. -Take out Ninja and replace with a launched coaster, probably and Intamin. It's too bad SFOG apparently hates Intamins after some sort of dispute over Acro's warranty when it got struck by lightning. Carowinds, for now I just think it needs an mini-B&M hyper. Then I'd gradually start taking out old rides and replacing them with updated rides and coasters.
  14. 1.Montu 2.Duelin Dragons- Fire 3.Dueling Dragons- Ice 4.Great Bear 5.Silver Bullet
  15. An Orgy of Critics- Say Anything
  16. Well I swim (obviously) and when I got mine out I had to stay out for a couple of days, but I could work out on dry land pretty much after the drugs wore off. I had all four of my teeth out when I was in high school and three of the four of them were pretty much painless, they were healed within 24 hours. The fourth tooth kept bleeding for a while. I don't remember exactly how long, but maybe a little less than a week. I had to keep medicated gauze in my mouth and they were worried about me getting a dry socket which is apparently pretty painful.
  17. ^I don't know what it is but it would appear to have 17.5% alcohol by volume which seems pretty high (although I'm obviously not an expert seeing as I can't drink). I think that's the legal alcohol limit for beer to be sold here in South Carolina and probably a lot of other places
  18. It's a spinning ride that is choreographed like a simulator. You're inside a little pod that is a part of a centrifuge and how quickly you spin determines on what is going on in the movie. There are parts of the ride, such as the launch and the landing, where you're supposed to feel high G's, so it spins quickly. There's also a "zero-g" part of the ride, but it's not really zero g's (I don't think the ride can go below 1g because it's a centrifuge, but correct me if I'm wrong).
  19. That webcam is driving me crazy! Straighten it out!!! But at least work is going pretty quickly on this. I hope the Norwegian loop/ cobra roll portion of the ride will look as good as the first part is looking. I really thought the ride was pretty ugly in the concept art, but this is turning out pretty well.
  20. Breakin' Up- Rilo Kiley
  21. Great video, thanks for posting it! Does anyone else see the X2 trains visibly shaking as they go down the first drop or is that me?
  22. Florida- Modest Mouse FYI James Mercer of The Shins sings backup on that track.
  23. ^I really like that first picture, the backdrop reminds you that all of these additions are going on inside of a huge mall! It's insane.
  24. I can't wait to see the finished product, but I'm even happier that the competition from Potter is causing everyone else in Florida to step up their game. Islands of Adventure may not be adding any coaster, but Florida as whole sure will be.
