  1. That speed slide reminds me of the water park area they have at Atlantis in The Bahamas. This park is amazing!
  2. I'm defiinitly interested, that's before school starts so hopefully I could work something out.
  3. ^I agree, I think these rides are pretty different (although I think don't think this will be as good as Storm Runner) As for the drops, in Storm Runner's case the drop is preceded by a pretty forceful launch that is far more intense than the drop. I think the launch is a much bigger highlight of Storm Runner than the drop is. The drop on FH is like the launch on Storm Runner, in that it will probably be the most intense part of the ride and it will also be the most memorable part.
  4. $22 to park!?!?! That's worse than a Six Flags!!!
  5. Second Chance- Liam Finn
  6. I'm in charge of running two summer camps for the City of Gainesville Parks and Recreation Department. My camps run June-July so it works out really nicely with school since I don't go to school in Florida. I also lifeguard when I'm not doing the camps, which is mainly the weekends and the month of May.
  7. I'd imagine a chain lift, there's no real reason I'd see them using a cable lift. Plus, the Eurofighters use chains and this is pretty much a Euro-fighter rip off. I usually wouldn't equate a chain lift to down time, I think that there's probably other reasons if Superman has a lot of downtime (like poor maintainance)
  8. I think "...Is a Real Boy" is one of the best albums I've ever heard. I'm seeing Say Anything next month in Atlanta Anna Molly- Incubus
  9. Definitely: Six Flags Over Georgia ...and that's it (I'm lame) More than Likely/Probably/90%: Dollywood Carowinds Wild Adventures (I drive past it about 10 times a year when I go to or from school to Gainesville and I still haven't stopped) Hopefully: Hard Rock Park Holiday World/Beech Bend road trip Any Florida park since I work in Florida during the summer
  10. Well isn't a future woodie pretty much out of the question in the first place because Kings Mill would never allow that sort of noise?
  11. Does anybody know what the one-of-a-kind ride they were talking about is? The article said that one of the rides at this park has never been seen in the US but I haven't seen anything past that.
  12. Plain White T's are pretty bad. That one song they had would never die.
  13. I have a guitar that is autographed by all of the members of The Shins. I'd post a picture of it but my digiatal camera died a while ago and it'll be till summer until I have the money to buy a new one.
  14. Panic! at the Disco is decent. They're unapologetically pop and some of their songs are pretty good for what they are. ...Fall Out Boy. They came to play at my school last semester and they were absolutely terrible live. Just awful. It was like watching a train wreck with cool lighting and pyrotechnic effects.
  15. Yeah, I'd go Sunday Plus... Deja Vu usually breaks down a lot in cold weather ...oh, nevermind.
  16. No it's going to be a REALLY new country: Kosovo!
  17. I really like the fire and ice design on the Avatar ride, it looks great! The new orange trains on Orange Streak look really cool as well
  18. They aren't planning to build anything over 60 feet, so a coaster doesn't seem likely as of yet, unless perhaps it's a Wild Mouse or kiddie coaster, neither of which Busch would probably be looking to install (especially considering the fate of BGE's Wild Mouse -- relocated to another park in the chain -- and their only kiddie coaster, which closed in the 80's). Busch right now seems to be focused mainly on either non-ride attractions and exhibits or large B&Ms. No, I meant in the future as in after this new expansion is built.
  19. I wonder if this will take up the old Drachen Fire area? If it were a smaller country I bet it would include a coaster in the future if they put it in that area since there's a lot of room for expansion back there. This should be pretty interesting to see it develope.
  20. I think that's odd that you can stand right under the first drop and the loop, I would think that would pose a safety hazard. I wonder if they will put up any netting to keep loose object from flying off and hitting people since that is a pretty high G force point. I really like the colors on this though, it looks better than some of the Batmen themed ones and I think it certainly looks a lot better than the other San Antonio "Batman"
  21. Yeah, I think there was a pretty noticeable difference between opening day last year and the end of the season. I really go back and forth on which SFOG I like less because they always keep you guessing.
  22. ^yeah but the car has to come to almost a dead stop before it goes down the drop. I'd imagine that on Spongebob the car will more or less fly through the MCBR without losing much. although I agree with you on that drop being great
  23. Wow, that drop looks intense! I love the look of this thing, it should be a really good ride. Dollywood's does here, but it's different than MOA's
  24. Holy crap! Every time I check this thread to see how construction is going I am surprised at how much track has been put up. This thing looks like it will be a lot of fun! In regards to the flames on the cars, does anybody think it could be a reference to the "Fiery Fist of Pain" roller coaster episode of Spongebob? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqbKVYR4Ofo
