Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread

I wouldn't say that the Great American chocolate tour is at Hersheypark, though I will say that it is so close that it almost is! -

Has anyone's seen hersheyparks latest teaser? It said something along the lines of "this will not be the first." So one could roar that away as not the first in the park or not the first in the industry. -

Well as anyone called the number on the poster? What did it say? -
Im pumped for this movie. I heard the premise of the movie is that that the dinosaurs are basically the fish at Seaworld. It's a functioning park with dinosaurs in pens. Should be cool.

The coaster. I can hold it. Would you rather lose epically on American ninja warrior or be a terrible act on America's got talent?

Love watching AGT. My favorite acts by far are the escape artists and the magicians. Something mind blowing. I was really disappointed when I found out that there werent any escape artists this season!

honestly If any six flags park gets a hotel it should be GAdv. finding a hotel in Jackson is so hard that I had to stay at a hotel like 20 min away from the park! Maybe its just cuz jackson isn't really a 'destination' with the exception of Six Flags, so it makes sense for the park to get one. Would six flags put in a hotel? I'd be surprised if they ever did put one in.

What are some loud rides and coasters?

Alpengeist. Good luck talking to the person next to you. And more than half the time yelling doesn't end up working out either! -

Those track pieces! And nice photos from around the park! I really need to get out to this place, its really turning into one of those 'destinations.' So since I've never been, here's a question. I know you get free soda and all, but how does that work? Are there random soda machines just laying around and you fill up a cup, or do you have to go into a restaurant to get one? -

I will agree that the map is very inaccurate. Trying to find Storm RUnner the first time was brutal. My problem was that I had spent time memorizing where everything was on the map, but then the park map was wrong so it was hard to find things! -
^ I've heard that one too. It'd make sense, since they have two boomerangs. Even though now with the new trains Goliath probably isn't as good as flashback! Oh the irony...but anyways I think that'd really be good for the park. If they got that in. Addition to the iron cyclone it'd make the park have a really good big 3. Bizarro, iron cyclone, and flash. And even without a premier coaster, the park will lstill have a pretty good big 3 with batman as that 3rd spot. (And that's assuming that iron cyclone will be really good, which it probably will be!)

^ I've been a huge advocate for that idea. And I will agree with the two posts above about the possible hint drops. I don't believe SFFT has a batman themed ride, so that would add something to the park. It wouldn't fit in with the area though, unless its a retheme from Rockville to Gotham city. And as for the B&M hint, it would make sense. As mentioned before, that long rope could be a hint that that 106 height could make it to 200 feet making it a hyper. I can dream, but I'd love for it to be true. If its not a hyper(which it's probably not) then what about a wing? An X-Flight style ride?

Everyone's talking about how BG gets huge crowds, but I've never had long lines at this park. I think the longest one ever waited in was like an hour. And that was just once, and I've been to the park a lot. Maybe it's just because of the high capacity coasters, but I don't think that Diavolo/Tempesto will get huge lines with the exception of one it first opens. After it opens, give it a few months and it probably won't have that bad of lines.
