  1. I honestly thought that the Six Flags America employees were very nice last year...
  2. Something tells me that KD is done messing with Anaconda. The paint job and fountain splurt up is about it. I think they won't be doing anything else to it. Personally, I wish they would've just torn it down rather than try to spruce it up. Grizzly and Hurler though, I get. Hurler seems to be running a bit rougher this year and Grizzly seems to be running normal.
  3. ^ that's the same one that was posted earlier to this forum.
  4. Prediction: it won't happen I honestly don't think this is gonna happen. I'll believe it when I see it, i'll say that. I'm expecting a flat ride. We saw 2 in the Six Flags chain last year. Great escape and la ronde. I easily think that Six Flags St Louis is gonna receive something similar.
  5. The way I see it, I don't care if its a clone. Its arguably the best ride at SFDK and here it is gonna be put in a park and it might not even break the top 3! That shows how good their current line up is and I'm sure that this will add to their already awesome collection. Only backwards coaster in the state. And knowing BGW, I bet they'll add some kick butt theming to it as well. I can understand the argument for it being too close to Apollo's Chariot. I get that. Is the capacity not good? Yes. But other than that, I don't understand the hate when a park is putting in a GOOD roller coaster. Could the park do better? Sure. But they haven't even announced the ride yet, so there is a high chance that the park still has something good up their sleeve for this ride. Possibly a dual loading station, or a new element added to the ride, perhaps? Lets not lose hope or immediately assume that this is going to be bad for the park! There ya go. My motivational speech/Rant is over.
  6. The Fly at Canada's Wonderland wasn't too bad, but I rather would prefer the Vekomas over Volares. Me too...by far some of my favorite vekomas. Not too rough either.
  7. Interesting concept. I hope it has that rapid transitions. That would definitely differentiate it from intimidator. The more different it is, the better. And wow that was a long lift to the top! Longer than leviathans! Crazy.
  8. ^ I don't understand the hate for volares. I liked the one I rode.
  9. In all honesty, I think they should've added a coaster that is a step up from kids coasters but not too big. My sister likes mild thrills, but kiddie coasters are boring and dumb to her. I think they had enough kiddie credits already. It seems the only market of coasters that they have is kid or thrill. Not really any in between, with the exception of gold rusher (EDIT: And Ninja). But this is Six Flags we're talking about, so I wasn't expecting them to add a coaster in the market that they really needed it in.
  10. HA! I too am counting on that B&M launch. Although it would've been cool if they would get a coaster that somehow has your feet dangle. Since we've ruled out inverted, launched floorless? I can dream. And as for the hidden clue, I have no idea what it could be hidden in that message.
  11. plus that would put a 400 foot tall skyscreamer on the east coast, west coast, and the mid west.
  12. ^ or you could look at the "fall" part of it, and assume drop tower!
  13. I got the paintball one, as well as a six flags museum, and a splash ground area.
  14. ^ A 400 foot tall skyscreamer still wouldn't be taller than superman
  15. I'm with you on this one. I think the park is aware at this point that that coaster is going down hill. I imagine the only reason they're keeping it around is because ITS A ROLLER COASTER. The GP will still ride it, and coaster enthusiasts who are looking for the credit will ride it. I think thats why its getting hour waits(as mentioned previously in this forum). But at some point, within a few years, I'm sure the park will announce its removal. I'm sure the park staff have already been discussing whether or not they should tear it out.
  16. I think my favorite part about Europe in the Air was the AC in the queue line
  17. Man these holiday world people are guru's when it comes to marketing! Man, I think they're literally driving me crazy.
  18. I wish they went black with a track color. That'd be cool. But I'll second the golden color with like red supports if the name does happen to be Centurion, which I'm skeptical about. I'm still betting on Fury, even though I like centurion better. Is it possible that Carowinds could've worked something out so that the Centurion name wouldn't be suspended and they would be aloud to actually use it?
  19. In my opinion, a wing seating is just too similar to Sheikra. Whatever BGT should get, it should be something new. A giga/hyper would fit the bill, as would a GOOD wooden coaster.
  20. I'll probably check it out but it'll probably not be that great.
  21. Did anyone manage to catch the "mission amusement" that appeared on travel channel an hour before ICW:WD? I thought it was pretty good. For anyone that has been to canneaut lake park, was that at all accurate or well represented?
  22. 1: Hypers. AIRTIME 2: Flyers. Man, I really like these coasters. so much fun! 3: Inverts. Intense, fast, and fun! 4: Dive. They're alreadyt floorless and have some winged outer seats, so they're already automatically better than floorless coasters and wing coasters in my book. 5: Floorless. fun, but I don't LOVE the whole floorless concept. And it seems like these coasters can be either a hit or miss when it comes to a great ride. 6: Wing. fun gimmick, but forceless in the front. In the back, however, pull some good G's. And I like the near miss effect. 7: Sitdown. Its fine, but not better than floorless. 8: Standup. Intense but I don't like standing up on a coaster.
  23. So heres something that would be kind cool. What if you took the blue fire concept and morphed it with Xcelerator, and made b&M the manufacturer? I know its a long shot, but that would give holiday world: -a launch(2?) -200 foot tall range -inversions I know its pretty far out there, and I'm not expecting it to happen, but it'd be pretty sweet. Imagine taking off into a 200+ foot tall top hat, and then dropping and doing a bunch of inversions and stuff like that.
  24. A new coaster isn't coming next year. Expect new shows, new family rides, or new family rides. However, I would expect a brand new woodie in 2016 or possibly that giga. But I'm counting on Gwazi leaving by the end of 2015.
  25. The GP are pretty crazy. The vekoma SLC so far doesn't even make the top 5 lowest scoring coasters of the season. Thats messed up. So far the lowest scoring coaster is a B&M! WHATTTT. Other interesting facts include... White Cyclone scored higher than Steel Dragon 2000 Raptor scored 1 point less than gatekeeper Outlaw Run is in 1st place for the highest scoring coaster of the season by only 1 point (La Avalancha is 1 point behind) Superman Attracion de Acero scored the same as Raptor Coaster Express scored 1 point more than Silver Star yeah. Some of this stuff just isn't right...
