Photo TR - Lagoon / Mormons
CPSFMMCW replied to KBrylczyk's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The "Mormon thing" that you pointed at is the Salt Lake City Temple. It really is beautiful. McConkie is the last name of a guy name Bruce R McConkie, who served in the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, who for you non-LDS people out there, is the group that leads our church. Oh, and our underwear isnt "magic," just fyi. If you have any questions about Mormonism, feel free to ask! Glad you had fun there. It's defiantly one of those overlooked parks, but it has a cool and unique collection. Whatever they have planned for 2015, i'm sure "cannibal" will be a lot of fun! -

Those were some sweet photos of Liberty Launch. In my opinion, S&S Drop Towers are a lot more fun to look at than the intamins, cause they show some much more detail and stuff on the outside. Plus its fun watching the people shoot up! -
^ that might actually be a valid possibility...it'd fit with the land space and they don't have a multi launch coaster. I'd just rather see a woodie. I think the only reason that wouldn't make sense is with the hints that they've been dropping. Full throttle is higher than 92.5 feet. They could probably go with premier, but it'd just have to be a new, original ride but still incorporate a few launches.

I normally would be thinking a condor but as its stated above, the fact that both motorama(BIG space) and hustler are leaving, I think that does mean a coaster. Something small-ish, but fun. Anyone know when the last time was that Six Flags worked with GCI? Cause I know a coaster style that would work perfectly...
-
^ How tall do you think that is? I wonder if it stayed at the same height as its previous location. I think I heard somewhere that at its former home it was like 92.5 feet high or something like that...if thats the case then I have my doubts about it being a coaster. But if it is, then you can still do some crazy stuff with that height (a la GCI)

^ dont forget, it's also an aquatrax (as told by the dippin dots guy)

Glad Italy can add another Great park to its list. In a few years, i'm sure it'll be right up there with Gardaland and mirabilandia! It's already looking good. Although, that first picture of the parks name on it is kinda strange how its completely not detailed like the rest of the park...gives a different feel to it -

Olympia Looping in England???
CPSFMMCW replied to gerstlaueringvar's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
How reliable is that source? And do they just mean that it won't be traveling with that fair any more? Seems odd that they'd just randomly get ride of their most popular attraction... Maybe it's just gonna go up for sale. If that's the case, then lets find a place for it at a permanent home. -
Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread

^ i'm assuming you mean on rebel yell? I have noticed that too, but here's what I noticed; it seems to me that it doesn't really matter because when they race, it seems to balance out as the left side picks up some more speed in the second part and so it actually gets really close. At least, that's what I've observed. -
Oldest Coaster You've Ridden
CPSFMMCW replied to MSLSM's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The wild one, but if you don't wanna count that since it hasn't been at the park the whole time, then the coney Island cyclone. -
I hate rebel yell's at Kings Dominion. First of all, the line wanders around everywhere when it doesn't have to, as it never fills up that far. Pretty sure they never updated the queue from back when the park opened. And then, once you exit the ride, the exit ramp takes you all around, which is really unnecessary, since the exit line even comes up right next to the sidewalk. It could just deposit you there, but instead it takes you all the way around. Really drives me crazy.

You cannot compare Disney and KBF because they are two different style of parks. I wasn't comparing them, one of the guys above was talking about how he liked the family friendliness feel at Disney better than at Knott's. I merely was commenting on that and saying well thats no surprise... I like the staff at Holiday World more than the Disney staff. Hence why I said "pretty much every park"
