  1. Cool game, makes me wish the ride would have opened last weekend when I was at the park.
  2. I tried it at Time Out in Neshaminy Mall (PA). Fun game but I wish an arcade closer to me had it, which is impossible since practically EVERY arcade closed in my area.
  3. It's more water rides including I think a slide, a play area with one of those tipping buckets and something else.
  4. Sounds like it was a much better day at Hershey today than it was yesterday. Yesterday, Storm Runner had a full queue and a lot of rides not only had full queues, but lines went into the midway like the car rides. Tidal Force and Lightning Racer were open yesterday so it's strange they were closed today, maybe it has to do with LR breaking down yesterday (Red side got stuck on the lift and they had to evaucate the train).
  5. Dorney is my home park, and although I really like the park it's far from my favorite.
  6. A Jewish group is also going to be there as well for some Passover event. I heard it could be as many as 25,000 people from that group. If that's the case it could be very crowded.
  7. The only parks I have been to alone are some small seashore parks like Playland's Castaway Cove and Gillian's in Ocean City, NJ. I usually am only there for less than an hour (rarely any lines and there isn't that much to ride as they are both family parks). I have been considering getting a season pass to Dorney and going alone this season though since I know I want to get to parks a lot more this year then I ever have before and I really don't know anyone that likes going to parks as much (none of my friends like rollercoasters).
  8. I used to really be into DDR, 2 - 4 years ago but kind of lost interest because there hasn't been a new arcade mix in years (2002) and since every arcade seems to have upgraded to Extreme, I got bored of it. I still play a lot of the older mixes at home though like 3rd - 6th Mix.
  9. Call Sony, there is a chance they will fix it for free
  10. It was supposedly like that all over the park. I was reading about the employee issues on another site and someone said on the parachutes, supposedly an employee sent up a parachute with too many people in it and the employee didn't even realize it wasn't working right until a few minutes later (they were busy with another parachute). Some else claimed that on some of the coasters the workers didn't understand when they were told to re-check rows and some people said their restraints weren't even checked.
  11. Nice photos, the log flume water looked really blue. They have those same slides at Dutch Wonderland and although I like the black slide, I try to avoid it because you get absolutely soaked on that side.
  12. Hersheypark. Before the 90's all they had was the Comet, Sooperdooperlooper and Trailblazer for coasters. Those are all fun rides but they have added a lot in the last 15 years, Sidewinder, Wildcat, Great Bear, Wild Mouse, Lightning Racer, Rollersoaker and Storm Runner. Plus they added the whole Midway America area with some new flats in addition to the coasters like the Whip
  13. Agreed, I think go karts and other upcharges like rock climbing walls belong in family fun center type places and not theme parks unless they are included in admission.
  14. I should be graduating in May as well. I'm having more problems with deciding on what I want to do more than searching for a job. My major is accounting but I really hate financial accounting (CPA type stuff), so I am really not sure what kind of job to even be searching for at this point. I think it's also difficult at this point to search because it seems like most companies have already done their hiring for this part of the year. I might just continue to work selling stuff on EBay (which is what my job is now) and then trying to interview in the fall when companies will start interviewing Fall 2006 graduates.
  15. I would keep checking EBay, they seem to be listed from time to time with a buy it now of I think $150 (if Scorpion is the cheaper set).
  16. I have been on 3 (both sides of LR and Wildcat) and of those, I thought the red side (lightning?) of LR was the best
  17. I'd hate to see the Coal Cracker gone, too many flumes are closing and it would suck to lose another one.
  18. I don't think it will be that bad. Even if 2/3 of the people who got free tickets use them (lots of people signed up when it was posted on deal sites where they thought it was for all SF parks and don't live near the park and won't be going), that's 10,000 extra people a day. That's a lot but for a park as big as Great Adventure, it probably won't be too bad.
  19. I'm going to Great Adventure thanks to the free ticket giveaway
  20. You can also start at the smaller coasters in the park that way by the time you get to Apollo, you'll know you did a few coasters already at the park. I would start out with the Loch Ness Monster since it's kind of tame for a looper.
  21. Vapor Trail at Sesame Place, about 30 minutes away
  22. I'd get a Schwarkopz looper (since I could probably get one dirt cheap), a B&M Invert, a family coaster, a log flume and some flats: whip, swings, pirate ship.
  23. Is there a specific reason they can't run it past 6 pm? Seems like a strange rule.
  24. Hercules, Dorney Mighty Mouse, Playland's Castaway Cove City Jet, Gillian's Wonderland Pier Wild Izzy/Wild Maus, BGW Dragon Coaster, Boardwalk and Baseball
  25. Hydra - Front Talon - Front or Back Thunderhawk - Front, you can get a ton of air time and a great view Lightning Racer - middle or back, I found in the front the first drop wasn't as great and you can't get as good of a view of the racing/dueling in the front. Great Bear - Front Comet - Front
