The Rumor / Crazy Idea Superthread

For Wing Riders, yes. The only wing rider is faster than the majority of the coasters in the world. But wing coasters train might need some modification. -
Euthanasia Coaster
gerstlaueringvar replied to beatle11's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Can't they just turn those astronaut training machine to an extreme level that pulls 25G's or something? Even if this coaster gets built, I doubt they will ever make any profit from it. Also what's with the tiny supports and the shape of the first hill? The track will definitely break on the loops. I'm all in for parabola hills but it just doesn't look right for the first hill! -

Hope this park can keep up on their updates. Gerstlauer is really stepping up lately, I can't wait to see how this one looks like. -
What do you think of Fast Passes?
gerstlaueringvar replied to K1ngdaKa88's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think they are great. I've never purchased them outside of TPR tour but I would definitely consider them when I'm visiting a park far away during peak days. -

Yes! Finally an Intamin Wing Rider is coming! Really hope this project is turning real because everything looks very promising! -

Maybe GCI's Millennium Flyers is easier to maintain than the Vekoma trains, 2x3 cars put more stress on the track so they might be thinking about a permanent solution. They could also be turning the last two cars backwards, or add on-board audio to the train can't wait to see how it turns out! -

It looks kind of like Premier's coaster to me, both the track and the support. -
The Rise of Intamin
gerstlaueringvar replied to coastercrazy216's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The spinning coaster system Intamin offers is the most expensive spinning coaster on the market, that's why it dosen't sell. Add to this that the only one who exist is in a small park that isn't very well known by park owners, and that it's a ridiculous intense thrill machine. All these things are the main reason why no more have been built. I would love to see a more family friendly version of Tornado, I think it could be awesome. They do have a new version of the train on their website, so they probably have an improved version they are hoping to sell! As for the inverted rides, I really have no clue. For me it seems like a no brainer to buy an Intamin SLC before a Vekoma one. I would love to see another launched one like Volcano, with todays technology. Imagine what could be created there! It's kind of weird to see Gerstlauer seats on Intamjn coasters. I think Intamin knows what they are doing, Tornado is intense because Bakken asked for it to be like that. Intamin is fully capable of producing a more family friendly and higher quality spinner, but nobody wants to buy their product because Gerstlauer, Maurer Söhne, Zamperla, Mack etc are competitive on prices. -
Coaster Types and Capacity
gerstlaueringvar replied to Solipsisto's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Let's not forget the Arrow and Schwarzkopf coasters, I'm sure a lot of them has higher capacities than B&M coasters. How about T-Express? When they are running all three trains effectively, it must be eating the line really fast. -

Launched El-Loco

^If they can develop a 4x4 car and use two stations, it would be easier. The layout is too compact to use duel station. -
Spitting on Roller Coasters

Spitting on coasters is disgusting. But count me in not believing what you've said isn't real.
