  1. This was posted on KI's Facebook, I think it loos really cool, gives an idea of how a new generation Dive Machine would look like. Link to post
  2. ^ Bravo! Does dead tree's color change after a few years? Apocalypse's color changed a lot! It was dark grey when I visited in 2012 and now it's nearly Colossus white
  3. ^ Six Flags certainly is one of the best at choosing the right rides. Oh wait...
  4. Maggie Colossy Locker Haha just want to try those word filters. What was Apocalypse's nickname again?
  5. I don't think it's possible to build a brand new park before Memorial Day and get all the testing, licenses, decoration etc ready. Especially this park looks like a very well-themed one. I hope they can take their time and open up a great new park.
  6. ^ I think what people feel on board is the composition of vertical and lateral forces. The entrance of Arrow corkscrews are overly banked but the positive G makes the lateral G feel less than it actually is. The feeling of strong lateral G can be lessened with heavier vertical G. So I guess Kanonen's heartline roll entrance give a bit of positive G to reduce the sideways hanging sensation.
  7. You do realize that would be after the MCBR, so that would pace it much better? That 90 degrees-ish banked section isn't parabola like RMC's Wave Turns, you are hanged sideways. It's after the MCBR so the sideways hang time is even longer. And that would give it more g-force? Think of it as an El Loco outward-banked turns. It would go through it slowly to not cause extremely intense lateral g-force, but be a funky element that is weird to ride. El Loco's outward banked turn isn't banked that much though. Cannibal is using four across seating trains so the outside seats will have even higher lateral G. Sorry to make it sound like lateral G is the worst thing in this planet, I believe Lagoon designed this ride very carefully and it will be a very enjoyable ride. I'm just not a fan of high lateral G so I might have exaggerated a bit.

  9. I think a terrain Mack spinner would be really great for the park, it wouldn't be too similar to Powder Keg but is still a great family coaster. Mack is using trains so SDC can keep up the great operation.
  10. Um I don't think they have one of those. I mean those Chinese knock-off Star Flyers uses restraints that are exactly like Wave Swingers.
  11. I like Cannibal's layout except for the heartline roll, there's gotta be some serious lateral G force!
  12. I love the look of this coaster! The support structure looks so beautiful. Now please release the layout! Everyone's New Year resolution is already starting to get funny!
  13. That is indeed pretty weird, it's like putting a heartline roll on an old style Arrow Looper.
  14. It's only artwork... All right then... But a whole park of warm color coasters looks pretty weird unless the coasters are in the woods. Anyone know why all Golden Horse SLC's are yellow/orange? Is it because the paint is cheaper?
  15. This is the look of the whole park. Seems like they want everything golden to show how rich they are.
  16. I guess this has a lot to do with TOGO using the center of two rails as the axis of twisting. At least Arrow loopers use one of the rails as axis which is closer to heartline. But how they managed to make a loop rough is still a mystery...
  17. Any thoughts on the new episode of Gotham? I think it's getting kind of lame now.
  18. ^ For Titan's case, it is nearly impossible. They can't build an unload platform on transfer track or the main brake. One possible solution could be turning the turn before lift hill into loading platform.
  19. There's nothing to worry about, those restraints have three locks that will keep you in your seat. But safety first, better inform the ride operators about your situation and they will help you with this. And you were so lucky that you were not riding a Chinese knock-off Sky Screamer at Cedar Point
  20. ^ Thank you so much! Finally I can search about those traveling coasters and Alpine Coasters. Are those powered Alpine Coasters considered credits? They aren't controlled by the rider, they have full circuit and they are somehow gravity driven.
  21. Because building unloading platform on the transfer track isn't a good idea?
  22. ^ Oh right! Thanks for mentioning that. I forgot how much of a pain it is trying to find info about traveling coasters, it feels almost as bad as
  23. ^ That kind of design also doesn't require the train to do a full circuit to enter the transfer track. Back then there weren't friction wheels to push the train backwards so putting the transfer track right outside of the station saves time and electricity. So I guess before 2000, this design has more to do with convenience than layout. I don't think there are any friction wheels on the turns before the stations of Behemoth, Diamondback, Intrimidator and possibly Fury325. Does this mean the trains need to do a complete circuit to enter the transfer track?
  24. I personally don't. I'm sticking to RCDB's definition, whatever's in that website is a credit for me.
  25. I know, but most of them except Colossos have a dip or use cable lift.
