Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said

Even for GP, that's a horrible pick up line, if that's what he was intended. -
Go Pros and Coasters
gerstlaueringvar replied to sirspud's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If SF allows GoPros on their coasters, more people will buy GoPro for filming coaster videos but they won't get a cent out of it. Just kidding, I absolutely agree with Six Flags and other park chains about filming and loose articles. Even if you think whatever you're taking on the rides are secured, sometimes unexpected things just happen. Violating park rules doesn't make you a Hero, no matter what GoPro or other slogans say. -

That's part of Bugs Bunny Rapids flume ride. . the flume is themed to the cartoon "Knighty Knight Bugs" here's the dragon from that cartoon [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] (and he spits water onto the folks in the boats as they float by (his head turns to follow the boats)). It only follows the first person in the boat, it's pure evil

After the location in Russia and a few carnivals, the largest portable invert disappeared. Anyone know where that unique coaster is now? Also how do you think of the ride experience? Photos from Google.

Inside the trench, those supports are exactly the same as those on Cheetah Hunt's second launch. Intamin!!!!! -

The whole layout feels like it's switching between intense twisty parts and "B&M" parts. Once the ride warms up and all the bumps get smoothed it will be a lot better. -

The car would look pretty decent for any other manufacturer, even Gerstlauer. But for Intamin it is way too closed and bulky. I'm sure their engineers won't let that happen in order to keep up the Intamin quality. Given that Phantasialand's new coaster is using "two row SkyRush trains", I assume these two will be using the same car/train and track. -

Most Disappointing Coaster!

Millennium Force. After a lap on that thing, my whole life before that was a lie. Dishonorable mentions: Trimming Bull, Fireball, California Sleepin', Hades360, Gatesleeper, Crystal Wing. -
How do you guys think about the new episode? I think the Olympians are getting some special treatment.

The final part looks pretty tame, have to day I like the original finale better. Will the drop tower get higher as well? -
Not really into water parks so I skipped quite a lot of decent ones. Schlitterbahn New Braunfels is my favorite, great rides, fairly efficient, nice atmosphere and some old school charm. One thing I don't like is the river water in the old park, it is not fun having all the friends from great mother nature when you are riding Congo River. Honorable mention: Chimelong Waterpark is a pleasant surprise, they run the park very well even though it is the busiest water park in the world. But the rides are too basic and the whole place lacks something special.

Finally some supports! Does starting construction one year earlier have something to do with Chiapas' delay and the ride system's complexity? All the details sounds promising yet a bit likely to be delayed if they weren't starting early. -

Are they really that rough? Can you give any examples? Bullet Coaster! The lateral G is really uneven and riders get thrown around A LOT. It is not the enjoyable type like RMC coasters, the train also bounces around the track quite a bit even with a very modern designed bogie. But Crazy Bird is mostly smooth with a few jerks here and there. I'm probably nuts, but I don't see what the big fuss over this whole thing is. If I'm not mistaken, the coaster was already completely designed by Ride Centerline before S&S pulled out of the project, right? I would hardly call that a partnership - I can't help but think that it's literally no different than Intamin or any other company contracting out Stengel Engineering to do it. The fact that the coaster is an Intamin now probably isn't going to make the coaster any better or worse than when it was designed as an S&S. While certain companies like B&M have gone to designing AND manufacturing their own coasters, I'm pretty sure that the practice of having an outside firm to design the centerline and a manufacturing firm to provide the track, trains and control systems is nothing new to the industry. What I think is that after they work together, maybe Ride Centerline will think "Oh Intamin is great to work with" so more Ride Centerline+Intamin projects will follow up later. Intamin coasters are reducing in recent years so this could be a turning point of their business. Not sure if the pre-fab VS Topper Track/I-Box Track, ZacSpin VS 4D Free Spin and the Mega-Lite VS Hyper-GTX will cause problems but maybe in the future, major competitors will joint together and dominate the industry.
